Leicester City v Burnley post match thread 2 - 2

Dyche has only got one shirt which he is refusing to wash until Burnley win a game. So, could it be the smell that put our players off today? Serious question.

No seriously, hear me out you scrots. When a girl has a really kiffy minge it gives you a flop on yes? Well maybe the same thing can happen on a football pitch

Pearson never, ever comments about individuals or clubs in a directly derivative manner.

Until today, it really surprised me, that's all. As soon as I heard it I thought that was his response to many pound notes.

Hate to say it burnley were good for their point, could have had all 3 the way they played, I'm a little concerned about the lacklustre performances the last two games, and the poor quality passing, lost count the amount of times we have given the ball away under no pressure.

Second half was not very good from us, when the highlight of the half is the ref getting smashed in the face by the ball.

The break might do us good, no panic stations needed, but a massive effort needed when they return, and that but of quality and composure needs to come back, or this good start will be worth very little.

I thought drinkwater was quite good today. Well in an attacking sense anyway.

For me Hammond was poor. Schlupp and Mahrez were both good.

Last 30 he was decent I thought, but still a lot of mis placed passes by his own standards. Hammond suffers if not in a 3/5 man midfield.

Some bint on twitter has claimed that Pearson should learn humility from Dyche, and then shit herself when engaged on a public forum of discussion.

Such a disappointment today. What happened to all the intensity we had against Man United? 2 points dropped, just want to forget about this game! Hopefully with two weeks off we'll regroup and get back to our best after the break.

Listening to Pearson post match, do you think he's responding to the many pound notes comments?

Very bitter, I don't think I've EVER heard anything as unprofessional from a manager, I think there's some bad blood between him and gravel throat.

Dyche is a twat, constantly moaning about how much money we've spent, Pearson was 100% on the money, every time we play he has something to say about it.

Dyche - humility - bwaaaaaaahahaha, the guys an excuse making ****monkey with the ego of the bastard child of Jose mourinho and Charlie Sheen circa 2010

4-4-2 wasn't a bad plan, but we should never start Hammond as part of anything other than a middle three. He's too slow, too negative and too sloppy.

My main concern today, along with the individual errors, was how flat things went in the second half. No urgency, no positivity, no desire to finish them off. We were playing as if we were 4-0.

We play like that ever week, we go down. However, we have options and I sincerely hope that Pearson has learned an awful lot from these two matches. James has to start, as does Cambiasso and I'd like to see Albrighton and Powell given a chance off the bench rather than Nugent, who was woeful today.

The way drinkwater plays you have to expect a few though. He doesn't play safe like king or James but is therefore more likely to create an opportunity.

I don't know why so many people think Burnley possibly deserved a win though. We created many more chances and opportunities and only have ourselves to blame.

I think the reason our CM's seemed to go missing was because Burnley's attacks came down the wing or a low long ball through the middle to the front guys for them to gain the territory. Biggest dissapointment Is that we didn't win the battle through the middle.

Well first half we were doing alright 2-1 up and looking like we could have extended our lead. Second half a different story we just never came out, I'm not going to go and have a good rant and I'm not going to say we didn't try in that second half, but I felt the problem lied where i believe too many felt the game was already won. It does feel like two points lost seeing as I don't think Burnley did enough to earn anything out of this. However a point is a point at this level and I wouldn't say nine points out of seven is all that bad. It's been an fantastic start from our lads, so try and remain positive and lets bring on the Newcastle!

On the team sheet today, I was surprised we've haven't seen much of Marc Albrighton yet? any news on him?

Vardy and Ulloa did not make a good combination. Ulloa looked tired and Shackell had him in his pocket all game.

Either Nugent/Vardy or Nugent/Ulloa to start. Preferably the second, with Vardy off the bench with some pace second half.

Neither Drinkwater or James excelled today. Hammond should go back to his role as sub in second half to kill a game.

Generally the team looked tired second half. King is our fittest player and never flags, I do not think it coincidence that our best performances were when he was in the side. Playing wingers worked, they both scored today, but Mahrez needed to be subbed second half as he was visibly tired. Knockheart showed why he no longer starts. My preferred midfield pair would be King and Cambiasso to start against Newcastle.

Defence is poor. We are shipping too many goals. Late goals against and poor defending was what relegated us from the premiership a decade ago.

Hamer deserves a start, and Was too...

Schlupp is another one - I don't think he was all that bad today but the fact remains he is a shit player and we shouldn't be playing him whilst better players aren't on the pitch. He cost us at Chelsea and he will cost us again, it's only a matter of time because he is a poor footballer. I really don't care if he scored just as I don't care that Mahrez scored, as he was one of the worst players on the pitch overall.

you get worse every week. either you're a wum or just a massive, massive prat.

Burnley are a very poor side at this level. But fair play to them for doing what they came here to do. That point will feel like 3 points to them.

As for us we we're crap all over the pitch. Didn't deserve to win the game. We let Burnley come at us way too much in the last 10 minutes of the game. You could just see they we're going to equalise right at the death.

We missed Cambiasso in the middle. I would of also started King or James over Hammond. Deffo need to make changes for Newcastle.

Still fuming, been a while since i've been this pissed off after a Leicester game.

Just had to go out for a drive whilst shouting and screaming.

Now gonna sink a beer or 10. Got a feeling this is gonna play on my mind for a week or two, until we know the outcome of how we react and (hopefully) bounce back from the last 2 incredibly poor games.

Once again we were outdone by a set piece. Has a familiar ring to it doesn't it.

There was absolutely no excuse to drop 2 points today, the win was in our hands. We were so laid back in the 2nd half, we didn't do enough to score the 3rd goal. We got punished in the end and didn't deserve to win the game at all.

As for the equaliser, Schmeichel was clearly at fault. Did he not realise how much he opened the goal up for Burnley, if he stood closer to the middle he would have saved the free kick.

People calling for NP to make changes every time someone has a bad game need to remember back to last season and the success we had as a result of keeping a stable and settled side.

It's surprised me too, despite today I'd still say he's the most professional manager around so something has really irked him, probably Dyche.

We had a stable and settled side because we were winning, not the other way around.

No better than palace it looks to me like we find it hard to get motivated for the lesser teams something Pearson needs to address quickly!

Exactly what I said last week, and it was my fear before last week, looks like it has continued. Needs nipping in the bud.
