lol feeling you on this!

Couple the M62 and the M1 together and you have without doubt the two shittest stretches of motorway in the country.

Noticed today there's even more roadworks on the M1 now, and all it seems that they're doing is putting up fancy new signs which have a big LED display telling you to go 50MPH, or that there's yet more roadworks ahead! Fxcking nightmare

Where's the new M1 works?

J15-19 only just finished (think leading up to J19 only has the speed limit now).

Everyone on the A47 Hinckley road. It's a national speed limit on the way from the Petrol station in Leicester Forest East to Earl Shilton. Don't do bloody 50. If it was 50 do 50. It's not. It's 60.

It's just as bad the other side on the A47 to Peterborough.

The national speed limit is 60! and 70 on dual carriageways. Miles of headlights behind someone and they are oblivious.

Driving on the A46 tonight near Beaumont leys and the car in front was swerving all over the place. The driver was sending a text while doing at least 60mph

It wasn't me, I always slow to 50 when sending texts.

Not really on the roads, but it's pretty annoying when a shop or something has flashing blue lights. There's a computer shop just past Frog island that gets me looking for an emergency vehicle every time until I realise it's the sign for the shop.

felt like i've been in an invisible car today. I could be alongside a car (so front of my car lines up with middle of their car) and they'd indicate about once before slightly veering in to my lane.

since when did checking mirrors or blind spots become something to ignore?!

The other week some absolute psychopaths in a Ford KA at around rush hour pulled up alongside me on Narborough Road near KFC and we're all going fvcking mental at me and my gf who were in our car. There must have been 4 or 5 of them, off their heads on something cos they were screaming at us like rabid animals, it was actually pretty terrifying. I hadn't cut them up or gone out of my way to not let them in or anything but they were going nuts at me, I thought they were gonna get out at one point. Was the weirdest experience I've ever had in a car. I'm convinced they must've been joyriding a stolen car or something or at the very least off their tits. At the time I just wanted traffic to hurry the hell up before they rammed me off the bleedin' road.

I hadn't ridden a bike for about 25 years and used to hate cyclists who rode on the pavements but after recently buying a bike I'm beginning to understand why they do it and I've started doing it myself. The standard of driving has declined massively and quite frankly the roads are a death trap for cyclists. Even on side-streets I've nearly been hit by drivers texting or just not paying attention. Barely a day goes by without me having to take drastic avoiding action because of some complete tit. I used to feel perfectly safe on a bike, now I don't and I'm beginning to hate motorists. Blind, inconsiderate, phone using *****. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!

I live in Glen Parva, so cycle into town down the Great Central Way..fantastic for that purpose. River on one side, canal on the other, but built up enough so it doesn't flood.

I'd never entertain cycling down the Lutterworth Road and Aylestone Road. I wouldn't feel safe and just could be not arsed getting dressed up in all the gear.

People who can't stick to their own side of the road. I drive through mainly country roads to get to work in the morning and the amount of cars who go around corners like they're test driving on Top Gear is embarrassing.

It must be at least 90% either bus or cycle lane all the way from Blaby to town though, so not as bad as some roads. Agree though, I'd choose Great Central Way every single time.

Bike LED lights, that are so bright it's probably easier to stare at the sun... with the added bonus of them also flashing so much it's like being in a bloody night club.

Yeah I can see you... but I can't when I get near as I need to close my bloody eyes you bellends .

Bikes that do not have lights. As a pedestrian I am able to see or hear vehicles but cyclists with no lights and wearing dark clothing coming from nowhere are much harder to see. At least wear fluorescent jacket.
