Haha tactically inept, another over used term that is used in the wrong context.

I can't see how Pearson can be accused of being tactically inept to be honest. He's tried em all this season already! lol

What I think he don't do sometimes is to make substitutions early enough. I agree with that.

Yep, thought exactly the same about WH, if anything it was the defining moment for me because after Man City I honestly thought we would put up a performance. :(

In terms of history, I can only remember the following. We lose to them at home in the 80's with Gary Roberts winding the home fans up, and a Tottenham fan in the home end walking out and shouting "Thank you Leicester XXXX". Of course the cup final in 99, I was just asking a fellow fan if there would be extra time when they scored. in 2003 my misses payed for us to have VIP tickets, we had a Tottenham fan also in the ranks and when Zimora scored , he sang "When the ball hits the net and you know what you get, that's Zimora !!!". And then that cup match when Defoe scored in the last minute. So im struggling to remember any Spurs good times, please help me ????

We've beaten them in the league a few times (ok 10+ years ago) also the infamous Mark De Vries cup game. I dunno, other than the games you've mentioned we do better against them than we do against most prem clubs, for example

Setting myself up for a fall here.

I'd like to think we will beat Spurs but this team, cant see it myself.

Even if we do manage to score a goal you can bet Spurs will get one too.

That's the problem. We'll need to score two or likely three to get 3 points. Can't see our players in this form managing three goals throughout xmas

Maybe we'll finally get spanked 8-0? It's about time we completely threw in the towel and accepted our fate as a 'never club' playing out their pitiful existence in the oblivion of lower league English football.

Well you've cheered me right up, thanks! lol

I have the feeling.

I just want a stroke of luck. A shot off a Spurs players dick.

I'm not sure this is that type of forum

First home game I'll be missing in about 4 years so yes we'll probably win this and all my mate's will blame me lol.

I wouldn't worry mate I've got a funny feeling it will be our first hammering of the season!

When I was a kid (back in the 70s and 80s) we always, but always, seemed to play much better in the second half of the season, after Christmas. That was back when we were more frequently yoyoing up and down the 1st and 2nd. Hopefully we can restore that time honoured tradition!

Everyone loves a stat right?

Leicester have won just one of their eight Premier League Boxing Day matches, losing five.

Tottenham Hotspur are unbeaten in their last nine Barclays Premier League matches on Boxing Day, winning six.

Leicester have failed to win any of their last 14 PL games in December (D6 L8), last winning in 2001 v Aston Villa.

There have been 28 goals scored in the last six meetings between Leicester and Spurs in all competitions.

In the last four meetings between these two sides the team scoring first has failed to go and win (D1 L3).

Tottenham have lost 299 Premier League matches. Only Everton (303) have lost more.

Spurs' league games this season have produced 19 goals in total in the opening 30 minutes; a league high.

Wes Morgan has made more blocks in the top-flight this season than any other player (22).

Hugo Lloris has faced a league-high five penalties so far this season, with three being scored against him.

The Foxes last won a league match 97 days ago (counting from 21st September until 26th December). Since that victory, Tottenham have claimed 20 points compared to Leicester's two (both from 12 games).

I don't know why , I have just got a feeling our luck may change on Boxing Day against Spurs

Up the City

Last game someone on here was saying we were nailed on to win and said it would be 2-1 to us.

The dissapointment i can cope with... but its the hope that kills me....

In my lifetime games against Spurs have often been key moments. Either false beginnings, ends of eras, or brand new starts.

A few come instantly to mind, the Cup Final loss which was before my time - but which remains one of our club's pivotal moments - aside. Like the one which we won with a stunning Izzet strike, which persuaded O'Neill not to join Leeds; or even the one which completely kickstarted his side in the PL some two years earlier. Or the one which looked like it would mark the resurgence of Levein and De Vries, but after which he was fired almost instantly. And in January, actually. Or the one which seemed to indicate that Little's team, which had previously looked completely incapable of competing, could actually be a force. He was gone within 10 weeks as well. In particular, we picked up a thrashing from Spurs back in 1987 - when I was a little kid - which seemed to turn us from a side which was competing but falling short into nailed-on relegation fodder.

I suppose there's been a few of these fixtures which have, one way or another, defined a manager's reign. And some which have seen us keep a manager, and others which have come just before we've lost one.
