chapero82 Posted 2 January 2015 Posted 2 January 2015 Again a player who is no better than we have. We wont get any quality player in, given our position. As I said before, we were well and truly stuffed in the summer window, by our naivety in underrating the Premiership requirements, hence our shocking season. Championship, here we come. Haven't you said this already?

You are tiresome, maybe go and support someone who is not having a shocking season Ps might be wise to wait until the end of the season before you decide whether it has reached your high expectations.
inckley fox Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 That is a good point, decent set piece deliveries could be worth 10 goals between now and the end of the season. Some of our deliveries are decent. We've missed two free headers from corners in the past three games. However I watched a City game with a current football manager a month or so ago and he was shocked at how poor our movement was for set pieces, and at the zonal marking when we're defending them.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 On the bench today for Wigan. Thought he might be out of the team of there was any move imminent.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Haven't you said this already? Probably, but some people appear to be expecting big signings, still!

Well, we are both going to have to do that, are we not? I presume you do not think we have had a shocking season, thus far, and think that being bottom is wonderful. No, I don't believe you are that stupid.
LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 "@SportsPeteO: Leicester City have made a bid for Wigan forward Shaun Maloney. #lcfc #wafc"
Ric Flair Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 He's a game changer, but Wigan will try their best to fcuk us over after what we did with McArthur.
Bamba's Babes Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Would be a quality signing imo. We don't need world beaters we just need players who can do their job and Maloney will be a perfect link man.
Callabinho Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 He'd be a great squad player, I wouldn't turn my nose up at it.
st albans fox Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 He'd be a great squad player, I wouldn't turn my nose up at it. Do we need squad players at the moment though? If we want to stay in this league we need first team players! Some of The ones currently playing will become the squad players.
Bamba's Babes Posted 3 January 2015 Posted 3 January 2015 Shaun Maloney will be a situational player. He won't start every game. Just like our other players won't be starting every game. Quality little player. No.10.
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 based on today. if we can keep Albrighton fit for month we will be fine. cb and lb is where we need to spend.
kingfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Think we need another winger, especially one who can play on the left, we know how inconsistent Knockaert can be, Lawrence is inexperienced, while Schlupp will be either injured or away. Maloney is an uninspiring signing, but he does give us options, plus he has experience of playing at Prem level, something we desperately need.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 I'd rather we went for McManaman. He's playing in a surprisingly shite Wigan side and think he'd look a much better player in a better team. That said, we do need a dead ball specialist and Maloney fits the bill in that respect. It would be so refreshing to actually have a player who can score directly from a freekick!

lcfcsnow Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Whilst I'm glad we're looking for a no.10, why isn't he getting in a side bottom of the championship? That'll be two relegations in a few years if he stays put, don't we need to be looking upwards? Hopefully we're using Wigan again to hurry a better player into joining.

Mahrez has been close lately tbf.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Knocky is dangerous from freekicks and with Mahrez and Schlupp away we're likely to see a bit more of him
Babylon Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 At some point people will twig we don't have a huge amount to spend, just as we didn't in the summer.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 At some point people will twig we don't have a huge amount to spend, just as we didn't in the summer.Do you know this or is it just another assumption (not aimed at you, but in general). I thought the Thais were very wealthy and would actually want to spend to keep us in the division.Enlighten us all Babs...
