LCCFox96 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 If for nothing else other than his experience then he could be a good, Kevin Phillips style acquisition. On a free transfer, likely cheap wages at 42 and with the wealth of premier league and international experience he has you can't really argue with this. A solid first signing in my opinion.
LCCFox96 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 That's the one. This year, we are doing 16 in Stamford, then jumping on the train to do the final 16 back in Leicester. Just near Valentine's Day. It's always a good laugh but gets harder every year. London Inn?

5waller5 Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 I guess that's as good as official, probably just finalising paperwork. Although a bit old (not normally an issue for goalkeepers), despite Hamer's distribution he's a good keeper - will he be bumped to third choice or is it looking that Schmeichel will be out for a long time? Kasper will be out for another 2 months at least - maybe more, that gives us two fit keepers and one that will be happy to sit on the bench next year in MS. Most teams have 3 keepers - we're just not used to it anymore.

Bryn Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Let's a spare a second to think what Conrad will be going through right now A large rack of ribs?
MikeyT Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 11:34 JEEPERS KEEPERS Mark Schwarzer's move from Chelsea to Leicester City is expected to be announced today, Sky Sports understands. And the veteran former Australia international is set to go straight into the Foxes' starting lineup.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 this will be like Ricardo all over again
Narborough_fox Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 Surely not? I'm not Hamer's biggest fan but he definitely shouldn't be dropped.
Jimmy Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 this will be like Ricardo all over again why is Stringer going to egg the morons on every game because Schwarzer dupes him in an interview?
MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2015 Posted 5 January 2015 What's the deal, permanent /loan? 18 months permanent, I think. http://www.rippa.com/category/soccer/mark-schwarzer-set-to-join-leicester-city-201501050021/
me_plus_one Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 18 months permanent, I think. http://www.rippa.com/category/soccer/mark-schwarzer-set-to-join-leicester-city-201501050021/ Good business for us I think. Experience always a good thing to employ and hand down. Hopefully does well.
AyewJoking Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 You dont choose to go from being back up GK at Chelsea to back up GK at Leicester. He will go straight into the team.
Asha Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 Schwarzer haha. It's not often you can say a current player is about 15 years past their best
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 You dont choose to go from being back up GK at Chelsea to back up GK at Leicester. He will go straight into the team. I do wonder how people come by this knowledge sometimes. Funnily enough people said the same thing about Hamer too. "He won't be here to sit on the bench". And then he did. Be good if we could tone down the arrogance and not pretend to know things that we clearly don't.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 Cambiasso isn't a bums on seats type of guy though, we all knew that.
Sydney Fox Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 Don't see Schwarzer starting myself. That's not to say that he's past it though. If we need, he'll be more than adequate.
benpicko Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 He'll play but surely this is a Kevin Phillips type signing
ForzaFerrari Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 He is old but enough for a back-up. Considering we will lose Kasper at least till the end of January, it is important to have an experienced back-up.
lgfualol Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/leicester-city-sign-mark-schwarzer-2186274.aspx About 4 days after we all knew
Corky Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 Any more of Pearson's ex-team mates to join? Juninho? Ravanelli?
