Milan was nice. I dragged my girlfriend round the San Siro, but the city itself is just a bit overpriced and busy. It's what I expected to be honest, minus the aggressive lucky lucky men.

Hahaha them lucky lucky man are a treat at matches. Throwing bracelets at you and trying to charge a fortune for it.

San Siro is decent though!

Toss up between Prague or Copenhagen for a few days in August. Prague I will try and tie into a Bochum game whilst over that way. Girlfriend is leaning more towards Copenhagen mind.

Did you go to our match there? Out of the group stages that was the one I was looking forward to the most but I enjoyed the least. Possibly because I didn't get to see an awful lot of it in reality but Prague looks stunning.

Both quality. Massive difference in a price of a pint though! About 90p in Prague and around £7 in Copenhagen! Might sway your decision! lol

Yeah went to the game there, did not see much of the city as spent a good time setting up the UFS display there. Had a belting night out mind.

I think it is looking like Copenhagen in October due to the cheap flights and then possibly Prague next year sometime to celebrate 5 years with the Mrs.

I went back to Copenhagen a few weeks ago and did all the tourist stuff. As a city it's not much to look at sometimes, but I love how relaxed and chilled out it is. The sort of place that makes me think "I could live here".

How many days/nights did you do there?

Did a tour of Scandenavia, so only two half days and one full day. If you didn't do any sight seeing before you might need a little longer. I'd got my bearings from last time and sort of knew where to go and where not to go.

If you fancy doing something different you can jump on the overnight ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo for £35 each (includes your own cabin) and can spend a bit of time there as well.

Just had a week in Abruzzo. Would thoroughly recommend it, beautiful landscapes, lovely people, fantastic food, unspoilt hill towns and villages. You can fly into Pescara with Ryan and train it from there.

Where did you stay? I'm looking to do something like that so could do with some recommendations!

Loads on here thinking "daren't say I have booked a week in Cromer in a caravan"

Popped off to Wells-Next-To-Sea the weekend before last. Nice couple of days, decent restaurants, even found a shop that sold Cassette Tapes. I asked the shopkeeper if he had sold many this weekend, he said he hasn't sold any for years. Next time I am there I will buy one (then throw it straight in the bin)

Dogs everywhere, hate them. Nice bottle of Pol Roger in the local hotel and this dogs arse just inches away from my glass. Smelly Labrador. Quite a few land mines littered around.

The amount of dogs will keep me away, but the need to buy some cassette tapes will probably override it and we will pop back. Might offer him a tenner for all his stock and see what he says.

Where else did you go in Scandinavia? And where did you get the ferry from?

edit: helps if I read the post, guessing you didn't get a ferry over to Scandinavia from here?

Thinking of doing that for a few weeks next summer, did parts of Norway and Sweden in winter a few years ago and loved it.

Where in Norway have you been?

Bergen and the Lofoten islands are stunning.

This is the general gist of where we went.

Flight from Luton to Copenhagen £17 each.

Ferry to Oslo from Copenhagen £35 each for a basic cabin (ferry is a 5 minute train journey from central station). It's a decent boat, plenty of bars and restaurants, casino, entertainment etc.

From Oslo we did the Norway in a nutshell tour (well recommended) from Oslo to Bergan (straight train there). You can stop over in bergen for the night and then you go back to oslo the next day, but on train, coach, fjord boat, via flam. A totally different route going back basically.

Train from Oslo to Stockholm about £40 each.

Flight back from Stockholm to Brum about £30 each.

Other than the Norway in a Nutshell tour, it was pretty much all based in the capital cities. Definitely want to go back and venture further north, it's stunning. Norway especially had the wow factor.

I went to Tromso and then drove to Narvik where I got the train to north Sweden.

Yep they are two of the places I am planning to do on the road trip, Bergen looks stunning.
