Haydos Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Looked quite naive and a bit clueless going forward in the last 10. Poor reaction to giving the ball away on the edge of their box and then a lack of tracking back when we needed him.
cityfanlee23 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Played okay today, got himself in good areas but was quite wasteful. Not surprising as it is his first premier league game for us. And to be fair it was a difficult game to shine in by the time he came on he majority of our players were behind him when he got the ball, He looked forward at all times which looked good, would just put the wastefulness down to a mixture of youth and no options at that point of the game.
GorlestonFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Great potential but not ready at this level (yet) Lost the ball in great positions and never looked confident when in those positions. Send him out on loan Vardy is adequate cover while until Schlupp and Mahrez return
shailen Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 wasteful with some of his finishing, but so were a few others. Didn't really make an impact but still believe he will develop into a good player in the near future
Webbo Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I was quite surprised Albrighton was taken off. Lawrence was poor but it was mainly inexperience I think. He'll improve.
Richard Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 A better lay off from Nugent and could've scored. Got lots of potential but seems a bit raw and his decision making is a bit suspect at times, not ready for regular first team football just yet
TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Inexperienced. Got bags of potential though; give him time. Shouldn't be brought on when we are trying to hold on to a lead though.
elangLCFC Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 got in some excellent positions but final product/decision were poor, that's what experience will give him though. start him in every cup game and bring him on in games we're winning, preferably comfortably and he'll develop quickly.
ScouseFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 went past a few men with ease. should've gone the corner in injury time instead of cutting inside an losing it though we'll put that down to being young and wanting to impress.
EGBFitness Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Definitely needs nurturing properly which I'm sure Nige will do. Looking very edgy/no confidence and no composure at the minute but I'm sure the more game time he gets the more we will get to see of him. If that shot had gone in or even on target think it would of done him the world of good
Claridge Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Played shite today Not as good as albrighton. Out on loan again for me
iamafox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I thought that today was too big a game for Lawrence to be part of. To recall him from his loan spell and put him straight into the first team puts massive pressure on the lad, given the fact he is only 20.
LukeFoxes Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Looked nervous I'm afraid! Not confident to take his man on and make a decisive decision. A little sharper and clinical he could have bagged today. Plenty of space for him to exploit but he wanted too long on the ball and looked scared to drive at the defence and get his shot off. Overall, has a long way to go! None of this 'he's one for the future' lark. We are fighting for our lives down there at the minute and we need quality to do the business. We haven't got time to nurture a player like that at the point, in my opinion!

We haven't got time to nurture a player like that at the point, in my opinion! Give the lad a chance, he's only 20! He was highly rated by Manchester United and I like that we're securing good future prospects to improve our club as a whole and to improve our self-sufficiency. We've come a long way in the past few years, from signing nearly-men and pensioners to committed performers and genuine talent.
ScouseFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 think people are being overly harsh. he didn't do a great deal but he did look tidy in what he did. what were people expecting of a kid coming into a tight relegation scrap with 20 to go? him to bag a hat trick?
Fox92 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Played shite today Wasn't any worse than Albrighton.
LukeFoxes Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 think people are being overly harsh. he didn't do a great deal but he did look tidy in what he did. what were people expecting of a kid coming into a tight relegation scrap with 20 to go? him to bag a hat trick? He didn't look tidy in what he did at all. He tidily have the ball away in a sloppy fashion. Look, you're right though. Maybe I am being a bit harsh in what I say. He does have some potential and yes comes from good pedigree at United. Send him back out on loan because he isn't ready for the relegation scrap. You can't say 'what do people expect from a 20 year old?' Well don't play him then if he isn't good enough or ready yet! Maybe next season he will be which is why I'm not against bringing through and buying young talented players into the club
Dickov22 Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Wasn't any worse than Albrighton. What a ridiculous post
LukeFoxes Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Wasn't any worse than Albrighton. Sure most fans will agree Albrighton created several great chances today and his all round game was good. You're way off the mark there.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Wasn't any worse than Albrighton. wot
fuchsntf Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Lawrence wasnt frightened moving forward and reasonable on the ball. Why some fans persist in the negative, I will never fathom. He should of shown more control in his 1st shot, he won a couple of balls, and got beaten a couple of times. I know we are struggling, but too many on this site are over analysing lost tackles, slips, losing their man.Yes the whole season long we have made some howlers that have lost us games, that was from our experienced players... This is a young kid getting his chance, not with 3 games behind him in a foxes shirt. This guy looks good, he probably needs to be told to be greedy, and believe, that though will come in time. These next 6-8 games he will be used somewhat more, so stop nick picking, thus lad eill make the grade.
