DB11 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Drinky was training at end of the week so think he will be fine for Stoke....wondering whether we go to appeal the card so the appeals process means James can play next week possibly? They have sped up the appeals process so that the discipline panel sit at the start of the week and be done in time for the weekend. If we had a game on Tuesday night, however, then it would be slightly different.
Webbo Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 If it had been on one of our players he'd have been the dirtiest bastard in the league.
LcFc_Smiv Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Never like to see one of ourown get sent off, but there's something about the reaction he gave that makes you proud of the lad! Glad we got one over them ****s anyway!
DB11 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Only a 1 game ban? Serious Foul Play will be a three match suspension
Nick Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Meh - seen worse. Yellow definately, following the letter of the law, it is a red.
cityfanlee23 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Why do we need to worry about central midfield when we have GTF? We only have enough space for one CM when he plays Sorry.
GaelicFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Red card Not a dirty player Lovely lad really Works very very hard We have turned a corner We have given ourselves a chance now
elangLCFC Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 anybody got pics or a video of it? had a bad view from SK1 but looked fairly justified
lcfcliam Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I honestly thought it was for the scuffle not for the tackle from my view
Haydos Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 anybody got pics or a video of it? had a bad view from SK1 but looked fairly justified http://gfycat.com/ScaredLawfulArthropods
elangLCFC Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 http://gfycat.com/ScaredLawfulArthropods cheers, actually looks like a yellow each for me
Spudulike Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 What happened when the sent off two were heading down the tunnel ?? Seemed like both benches got involved.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 http://gfycat.com/ScaredLawfulArthropods Massive overreaction from them. Not a red card.
NewquayFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Strong challenge that would have got a yellow early in the game, couldn't understand the Ref as he seem to indicate that James had a few previous fouls by pointing around and as an ex Ref thats usually a yellow, Clarke made the Refs mind up though and he deserved his punishment
EGBFitness Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 http://gfycat.com/ScaredLawfulArthropods Not meaning it too sound like gunning for James but don't think that angle gives it justice He defo leaves the studs in after taking the ball though
ScouseFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 ta haydos. red from that, unfortunate but it's a red. just doing his job for the team to protect a lead in the last minute of a dogfight and got it slightly wrong.
Rasmic123 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 shocking refereeing, james should have got a yellow as it was a one footed challenge and he didnt go off the ground. again we've been hit by shit refereeing
urban.spaceman Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 http://gfycat.com/ScaredLawfulArthropods The video stutters a bit at the wrong places but I genuinely don't think that's a red card tackle. Will have to see a better video but that looks very harsh to me. Clark however, comes straight in with a hand to the face and then then has a go at him as he's getting up. James' reaction doesnt help. Can see James' being riscinded perhaps..
leicesterisme Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Unfortunately that's a red in todays game. Okore's reaction was embarassing the cheating bastard. He was at it all game.
Haydos Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Sorry chaps, better angle. I still think it's harsh. Okore bottles the challenge and James wins the ball. Tiny bit high but that's about it. http://gfycat.com/DisastrousIdealisticGlowworm http://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/2rz6nb/both_matty_james_and_ciaran_clark_are_sent_off/?sort=top
RedSoxUK Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Another silly decision by James as the game comes to a close. Unnecessary tackle with studs up from that position, very poor to go in to that tackle, just limits his game time in a period he could be very important. Thought James was fantastic today apart from losing the ball too softly at times, and that ending.
Cruss5 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I can see why the ref thought it would of been red on first impression. They get split seconds to make a decision. I think james reacted with clark leading with his elbow. Would he of elbowed Was in the same situation
ousefox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Looked a red from my view. Going to be a huge miss for 3 games
