chris_lcfc_85 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 not if he gets sent.off and misses games. We ain't got a squad like man.city! Harsh red though, he's far from a dirty player. I seem to remember many on this forum crying out for nasty players in there.....
Bamba's Babes Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 From what I recall it was a heavy touch which gave their defender a chance to nick it, unsure where brains comes into that. A simple pass to Vardy and he was in on goal. Obviously Nugent didn't notice that and that's where his lack of awareness comes into it.

You may be right and I can't remember fully but I seem to recall there was a chance of Vardy being offside, so Nugent held it and tried to go past his man, taking a too heavy touch in the process. Poor moment but he is not an unintelligent player.
lcfc81 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Is it only me that thinks okore(?) holds the wrong leg (and part of his leg) when he rolls around?
Fatbloke Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Never a Red, ref was awful all game today, and lay off Nuge you lot, had a brilliant game as ever and we are a better team when he is in it, end of !!
Kinowe Soorie Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Great tackle, won the ball! That Clark is a ****!
Kierzz Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 that was a definite red. However, is there a video of Clarke's tackle on Ulloa at villa? I remember he wins the ball and then follows through studs up into Ulloa's calf. He comes in with such force as well.
The Blue Moon Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 At least one will be FA cup I think How's that a good thing? FA Cup is the only thing we still have a chance of winning this year!
Fox92 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Couldn't really see it so I'm waiting to see the highlights on MOTD. I don't like Clark at all though, I knew he'd do something else when he was running off after his red.
The Blue Moon Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Drinkwater will be fit for Stoke. The man, the myth, the legend, Bert. If you don't mind me asking my good Sir, you are my hero and the LCFC ITK Oracle of all inside knowledge, but may I ask why you told us Pearson doesn't rate Hamer, was signed due to Chris Powell recommendation, and that Schwarzer was going to start today? What with you knowing everything about LCFC I put a bet on and lost rather a lot of money this afternoon thinking I was clued up ITK because I'm friends with Bert.
C.J Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Clarke surely should of got a straight red for grabbing him by the throat?
dannythefox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 The ref wouldn't of sent him off if they didn't start fighting got all the ball from what I've seen but not seen it n slow motion.
Corky Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I must've been seeing things but I thought he gave a free-kick to us after Clark steamed in, then sent both off for the scuffle and when play restarted they had the free-kick? Clark should've had a straight red too.
Danizen Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 http://www.villatalk.com/index.php/topic/4140-ciaran-clark/page-132#entry1541384 St. Ciaran is a blameless victim, apparently.

Spicer Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 It was a fair red. Although due to the consistency of referees, we have all seen those sorts of challenges been given as yellow.
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Hmm... Is there a refereeing scenario where you consider giving a yellow card for a harsh foul at first, then notice an immediate fracas involving the same player - so instead of giving two yellows, you just give a straight red? Because that's what the James incident looks like to me. The referee waits for all the kerfuffle to pipe down, then adds up one foul together with another. In other words, I'm trying to apply logic to an otherwise heavily-discussed affair. The reactions on here are 50-50, it seems.
The Doctor Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 http://www.villatalk.com/index.php/topic/4140-ciaran-clark/page-132#entry1541384 St. Ciaran is a blameless victim, apparently. did they not see him elbow James in the back of the head. Not even a yellow? Should have been a straight red, no questions asked.
Corky Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I thought that at the time but on watching the replay looks like the ref blows just before James gets shoved over by Clark. I was convinced he'd blown and pointed for a free kick our way. Seems wrong that James will miss three and Clark will miss one (given he took James out earlier for a yellow card).
Father Ted Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Beautiful tackle, never even a free kick! Shows the state of football when most people in here are saying its a red. No, it's called strength and commitment. On a Sunday morning play would have gone on. Man up.
ScouseFox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 i think id kill myself if ciaran clark was our best player

When did he say Schwarzer was going to start today? Stop getting so obsessed.
KFS Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Clark is a cvnt. He showed that at their place. Typical grassroots "banter lad" who steam rolls into you unfairly and gives it all the "get on the weights" chat.
canadaukfox Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Hard to tell from this. This one looks worse. Isnt the second image a result of his foot rolling over the top of the ball? Which he won?
