FINALLY got round to eating at 1573 on Saturday night, and I have to say, it was worth the wait. One of the best steaks I've ever tasted. Looking forward to going again!

Looking for tips on somewhere to go for a meal for my birthday next week. I'm open to ideas in & out of town. Only requirement is tasty food.

Slates

Grey Lady

1573

Feast India

Sands

Grand Dubar (Only been once and was really nice)

They spring to mind straight away. Always decent food.

I went to the Golden Fleece on New Year's Eve and that was really good.

Bit far out as its Queniborough way but it was well worth it.

Used to go often years ago, however last time I went was just over a year ago and the service was fvcking dire. Served by a really abrupt dickhead, looked about 17 and the food was average, don't know if it's run by different people now or they were having a really off day but I wouldn't recommend it on my latest visit

1573 is where we're going as it stands. I was in the Grand Durbar Saturday night, definitely my go to curry house in the local area. Edited by Samilktray

Ashfields in Earl Shilton. Amazing.#36 in the best restaurants in leicestershire

I went on Sunday for my Nan's birthday.

Excellent all round.

The Black Horse, in Market Bosworth, isn't bad too.

Just back from Pilling's Lock in Barrow. A slightly upmarket cafe next to a canal marina. Food's reasonable in the main and not too pricey, the chips had a funny taste though.
