Clever Fox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 it's really simple, the minute I seen the lineup I knew we were in trouble. The selection was wrong The Tactics were wrong The partnerships were wrong I can't understand where NP gets his thinking from. I wasn't expecting to beat utd but at least I thought w would present a challenge.
Sunbury Fox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 We'd have probably lost anyway but Pearson got it totally wrong today. King and DD were outplayed at home to Stoke and by Spurs' reserve midfield . Utterly criminal to start them again, especially with Hammond and Cambi fit. And Vardy in the team, let alone on the wing is baffling to say the least. Which other team would go to United with 4 attacking players and no ball winner in midfield? All that said, restricting the score to 3-1 and losing no ground on the other teams is some consolation. Palace was always a massive game as it is our only winnable game for weeks. Pearson can't afford to get his tactics wrong for that one.
justfoxes Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Kramaric needs goals to up his confidence so should PEARSON give him game time in the u21 squad get him scoring in those matches who knows might up his premier confidence ? Just a thought !
Callabinho Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Talk sport suggesting that Wes should be dropped, I must admit i'd rather have Huth and Wasyl, provided Huth joins of course.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 We've other wingers, one thing I'll doubt we'll disagree on is vardys inclusion out wide As Ive already told you five would of been fine today, away against top sides is a different matter. 4-4-2 is what we should be playing in general as recent results show. Most of our points have come from playing 4-4-2, our cup progression has come from 4-4-2. There really should be no debate other than if we an make it work without nugent another very good performance for him and cambiasso and you have the Gaul to question my judgement laughable. Don't put to much effort into the reply I know you won't be able to resist posting as I'm not going to read it got better things to do than argue with you all night tonight fortunately. ..you continue to have a complete mare this season. I'm sure you'll look back and finally agree. Though, somehow I doubt it..
Tom's Pasta Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Although Was played well today, he should have fouled RVP leading up to the second goal. It was kramaric who lost the ball but Was should have taken a yellow to stop their momentum.
l444ry Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Win against Palace and things will obviously be mathematically better. But we're In desperate need of some type of result as the Stoke and Man Utd performances have relegation written all over them.

Collymore Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Did a anyone see Wes on the wing? He walked through the defender as if he wasn't there!!!

Bagworthblue Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 I have to say that whether you like pearson or not Radio Leicester have crossed the line now in terms of it being clear that they are siding with fans against him. Jason Bourne was completely out of order showing anger to a caller sticking up for Pearson. Whether he agrees or not should not be clear to listeners. He can play devils advocate yes but not all bar start a fight with a caller on air. I sent 2 texts - 1 stating that we won the 2nd half 1-0 and one stating Radio Leicester were showing terrible bias against Pearson. Neither were read out. I thought it was their job to present all fans opinions. It appears only negative ones and a handful of positive callers who they then attack. Extremely unprofessional. I agree the team selections are odd but we don't know what is happening day to day with the squad.Pearson may have very good reasons. he may just have got it wrong. who knows. Yes we won't know as Pearson wont speak to Radio Leicester but when he does the questions posed to him and the manner and players seem to be designed to cause more harm than good! Time for change. No necessarily the radio Leicester team, but to be given feedback by their bosses that it is time to start learning how to do their jobs better and remain impartial. Matt is the only one who leaves his emotion at home and he's not the one who is a trained broadcaster.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Jason Bourne has the most appalling voice
Monsell1976 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Stuck in traffic trying to get out of Manchester, trying to work out why the **** we even bothered to turn up, because our team clearly didn't. No excuses, the result was down to poor management, poor players performances, and lack of effort. Why would a team of our quality sit back against Man U at old Trafford, no quality in the middle of the park, vardy, why?, no link between midfield and strikers, no movement to offer a pass, so constantly panicking clearances, and lumping it forward. Shocking all round. Never expected to win, but **** me it hurts to watch your side play with a lack of ambition, and I'm glad utd took their foot of the pedal.
the-blue-wildabeast Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Everyone around us did pretty badly, so nothing lost nothing gained I would say while we were lucky other teams didnt get further away, we have one less game to make up the difference, and we are eventually going to run out of games, so we cant keep just accepting defeat.
foxinsox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Albrighton has a bit of a history of injury, so Nigel may have been wanting to limit his game time. Cambo and Hammond may also be rather likely to relapse if playing a full match. That said, they should all be fit for next week.
Dickov22 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 When is Mahrez back? Matty James will be a big plus next week. Cambiasso has to start too
sdb Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 That was ****ing woeful. A central midfield partnership of Andy King an Danny Drinkwater win rarely win you a premier league game. Especially at man utd. Gross. Also, sorry to burst bubbles but Kramaric is far from a player that is going to suddenly turn us into a good side. How many passes did we string together today by the way? 50? Embarrassing

How many passes did we string together today by the way? 50? Embarrassing Agree we can't play King and Drinkwater. I wasn't there so can't really comment but I think it's too early to write off Krameric. We had no possession so strikers aren't likely to be able to show what they can or can't do and he's a young lad in a new country in a team that isn't feeding him. I know we need him to hit the ground running but he hasn't even had a chance to hit the ground yet
pazzerfox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Didn't expect anything out of the game today so not too fussed, however several things really grating on me and heres a few points: 1. Vardy gets a start again? Not just a start but ahead of Albrighton? On the Wing? 2. Drinky and King. Wow. 3. I counted in the first half (got bored by the second) - pretty sure there was ONE pass to Kramaric feet all half and he created a through ball for Vardy with it. 4. Point number 3 has made Ulloa look sh*t, and is already starting to make Kramaric look sh*t. Noticed in the match thread people already saying 'Kramaric, what a waste of £9m' - these people clearly don't understand the game. Service, service, service. 5. Thats three appearences for Kramaric and obviously with no service he has no goals - his confidence must already be on the slide, the longer this lack of service goes on the worse it will get. 6. Sign someone who can give service. Please. 7. Do other teams in the Prem make so many changes to the starting line up literally week in week out? Genuine question because I havn't really paid attention but seriously, pick the best team, or as close to it as you can get, and stick with it (this is how football use to work). Anyone who says 'yeah, but he doesn't know who the best team is' should be saying 'what? Really? It's February tomorrow.' 8. Jesus ****ing christ, I liked Mahrez before, but I didnt realise how critical he was to our squad. 9. I can't wait for Mahrez to come home. 10. I don't want Nige out, I really don't. But please buddy, stop picking your buddies. I'm literally watching us bring a CB in on loan and I already know that if he replaces anyone, it will be Was - our best CB by a country mile. 11. Vardy has had his chance now. It's February. Think that will do for now. You make some excellent points and I agree with virtually everything you say. Vardy is not a winger and Albrighton would have been a lot more productive out wide. The King/Drinky combination is not good enough for the Premier League at present. There is no point in spending 9 million on a striker who doesn't get any service and has to feed off scraps.
Webbo Posted 31 January 2015 Author Posted 31 January 2015 6-6 on aggregate...I'll take that They win on away goals.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 What the actual fvck are you on about? We've lost away to the 3rd best side in the league, you clown. Come of it you idiot, what about the rest of our results, this season? The inept management of Pearson, rolls on. You are doubtless too thick to grasp that fact.
