HitchinFox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Aston Villa Football Club has parted company this evening with manager Paul Lambert. First-team coach Scott Marshall and goalkeeping coach Andy Marshall will continue to prepare the squad for Sunday's FA Cup tie with Leicester City at Villa Park. The club would also like to place on record its thanks to Paul and take this opportunity to wish him every success in the future. http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~4480131,00.html
ScouseFox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 The club would also like to place on record its thanks to Paul for what?
One Legged Beaver Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Have we ever beaten a team the game after they sacked their manager?
m4DD0gg Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Urgh could they have not waited till after sunday
Saxondale Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Oh bollocks. Another shit team that's about to find form.
Jimothy Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Marshall and Marshall sounds like a firm of solicitors.
Harry - LCFC Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Slightly irritating timing but we're still better than them atm so I'm still optimistic about Sunday.
kingfox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Of what he said last night, he sounded like he had lost the dressing room. Will probably get a foreigner.
Dan Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Sigh. This never ever goes our way. More shit luck.
johnny the fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Disgraceful...thought they would let him finish off the job..

Nalis Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Using reverse logic from last year, we'll win. Clutching. At. Straws.
Leicesterpool Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Good news for the villa, but bad timing for Leicester. He probably goes down in being one of Villa's worst managers, 11 hours without a goal is just unbelievable.
ramboacdc Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 who they gonna get in? there is no one you look at and go "well...they are good in a bottom 3 scrap!" they have just lobbed the first lifeboat out of the titanic!
GaelicFox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 They will be told concentrate on league like NUFC told Carver , We will all be glued to the TV Monday evening !!!!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Wonder who they'll get it now. Really want them to go down
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 After the miracles he performed at Norwich I thought he was going to be a great fit for Villa, but it seems he wasn't great and didn't get many signings he wanted. Was bound to happen sooner or later, Villa really are appalling this season. And yes, that's coming from a Leicester fan
jonthefox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Sherwood , Dyche, and ( wait for it) Sven are early contenders for the job.
Corky Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Tim Curbishley will be a contender for each job now before ruling himself out as "the club didn't match his ambitions" or "the club wasn't the right fit" as well as being "overlooked for being English".
ScouseFox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 one positive is that the whole gary vs nigel, match of the day vs us fiasco will be much less prominent in the half hour preview to our game on sunday now. hopefully it's just a full 29 minutes of talking about how bad villa are, then a minute to mention how boss mahrez, cambiasso and kramaric are, then we win.
sly1 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Sacked or not sacked that's the question up the blues.
rico Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Burnleys forum would go into meltdown if Dyche left them for Villa
