Villa 2 - 1 Leicester - Post Match Thread

To think that this game was picked to be shown on the BBC.

I've been accused of defending Pearson all too often in the past and I think my argument was usually justified.

Today, however, we've witnessed an atrocious display after half-time and I wonder what the manager actually told the players in the dressing room.

Certainly not to play crap like that for 25 minutes straight after the start of the second half!! That was some of the worst type of football I've ever seen us play...

They literally wanted Villa to score... VILLA!!

Have you not been watching for the last ten years?

Twenty.  We might have one decent performance in 10 games.  But on a whole what we've been served up this season is beyond shocking.  The composure on the ball is Sunday league it really is.

Clueless defending, Morgan in particular (again), abysmal goalkeeping, pedestrian midfield, toothless attack. Against a team there for the taking. Can't remember any significant spells of pressure we had...

It's your decisions Pearson that are behind this shambles. Do the honourable thing and do one, thanks for the memories. ****ing fuming at today's display.

Genuinely don't care anymore. If he's shit, he's shit. At least we'll be trying to change things from thee shambles we're seeing now.

You know all we've done for the last 10 years is change things for the sake of it.

You post a lot of shit on here but most of the time you seem to have some sort of reason behind it.

Think that's it for Pearson now. Can see the FA cup being the only thing keeping him in his job. We were poor today. Should of made subs. A new manager could keep us up. The only concern is if the new manager doesn't we can't exactly get Pearson back for the championship.

Simpson is poor imo, so is Morgan and Schwazer is convincing at all.

Cambassio was probably our best player overall but far to many dinged lobbed balls up top.

the amount of times we lost possession was unbelievable and we looked shocking.

No service to Kramairic and he still managed to score and Marhez wasn't even in the game they all look tired to be honest.

Frustrating! I can't see why Wasilewski came off. Marc Albrighton should have been straight on that pitch as soon as we went 1-0 down too! Pretty dismal today.

The one positive to take is Kramaric getting on the score sheet again - but then his goals are useless to us if we are already 2-0 down through shoddy defending and individual errors!

Bound to happen i suppose with their new manager and everything but that was utter dog muck.

Really poor performance and they didnt look bothered either.

Schwarzer is absolute shite.

Absolutely dreadful. Schwarzer, Simpson, Konchesky should never play again this season. How many goals has Schwarzer cost us since he's come in?

Captain spends more time on his arse, upson one and a half games and both stay on as Wasyl makes way. Vardy would have caused problems today. Just go away Pearson. Season over.

In the future when people say '2014/15 season' I'll just think of Ulloa losing a header and the ball bouncing of his shins, in stoppage time, about 50 yards from goal.

most disappointing thing is ..it was a gutless effort.

Yeah.....but the players are playing for him!

Did anyone tell these twats that this was for a place in the quarter final's of the FA CUP ? What a pathetic, insipid, clueless, lacklustre performance, based on that level of effort and commitment we are f^cking certainties for relegation!

We're actually worse than the Wenger Out crowd

Not really. The football this season has been mostly terrible. People are frustrated, surely we aspire to better?

Posted

Literally anyone.

Yeah, that's the only answer you mouthbreathers seem to be able to give.

What's Sousa up to at the moment? We could try changing manager every year until we're top 6 regulars. See how that turns out. I don't think we've tried that before.
