Games are played like on a chessboard, you pass it around in the back and only punctually move forward. This slows the game down quite a bit compared to football in the Premier League. That's also why centre-backs are given a bit more freedom and time going forward. He'd only have to adapt his style of play minimally.
lcfcnsk Posted 29 December 2016 Author Share Posted 29 December 2016 http://www.sportnotizie24.it/news/calciomercato/86219/francesco-acerbi-al-leicester-calciomercato-sassuolo-29-dicembre-2016 The English champions in office would be willing to quickly close the deal right now to reinforce his defense Francesco Acerbi could soon leave the Serie A. From England I'm almost certain, with the British press about a Leicester ready to close in a hurry the deal with Sassuolo . The company Claudio Ranieri , as reported by the Daily Star, has already made a first offer of 11 million euro to Sassuolo to have it in the Premier League in January. Sassuolo, in response, would not shut the door to the Foxes, but asked for a raise at least 15 million euro to be able to close the transaction. The Leicester is thus forcing the hand, with the former AC Milan player who could also be attracted by the chance to play the knockout stages of the Champions League. Observers of the English club were often spotted at Mapei Stadium to closely observe the class in 1988, remaining always impressed. Hence the acceleration of the last hours, for a deal that could soon be reached between the parties. http://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/leicester-city-challenge-inter-for-acerbi-28154 Sassuolo defender Francesco Acerbi is a January objective for Inter. The 28-year-old’s arrival however, could be hampered by the Fifa Financial Fair-Play restrictions forced upon the nerazzurri. Reports today in La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that there is other interest coming in from overseas with Premier League champions Leicester City ready to make a concrete offer for the player. Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes are reported to have offered €10 million to bring Acerbi to England but the same reports also state that Sassuolo are prepared to hold out for €15 million. The Italian centre-half arrived at the neroverdi in 2013 from Genoa after loan spells at Milan and Chievo respectively. Shortly after joining the club, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer which resulted in him missing a good chunk of the 2013-14 campaign. Impressive performances since his return have seen him push for a regular starting berth in the Italian national team and the player feels a move to a bigger club may enhance his chances even further. dpjfox Posted 29 December 2016 Share Posted 29 December 2016 Not sure what this FFP rule break is. Hopehully it applies to Inter which may clear us to sign him. A regular Italian international centre back for that price seems a good piece of business

Yeah that's true - I think their 'sources' are becoming less in the loop and are only reporting anything once it's known to 90% of public anyway. Last one that really comes to mind is Kram but think that was only through the whole permit problems
