All 7s apart from schlupp 5, cambiasso 9 absolute class want to kiss that beautiful bald head of his. Nuge, Ulloa and vardy 6 only cause vardy and Nuge should both have scored.

NP 9 can't fault him today.

Nige 9 - super stuff. good selection on the whole, should've been two up after 15 mins then all three subs created chances and one eventually got the winner.

Schlupp 4 - that's a kind 4. pathetic in every sense today.

Cambiasso 8 - superb goal and the best player on the pitch

Nuge 5 - pretty average and loses one for the pen

Vardy 7 - classic vardy, even missed a sitter

Kasper 6 Some good saves, some nervy moments too from corners

De Laet 7 Always preferred him to Simpson. Mahrez left him exposed and he did well. Great going forward too

Wes 6 Couple of dodgy passes but did ok

Huth 7 Assured again

Schlupp 5 Lost his man for the goal- lacks the concentration to be a defender. Terrible effort on goal too. No composure

Mahrez 6 Not his best game

Cambiasso 9 Fantastic finish, great passing, great leadership. Get him on penalties MOTM

James 7 class second half, got stuck in

Vardy 8 Some woeful finishing but ran his socks off. Scared them to death with his pace

Nugent 8 Terrible pen, knew he'd miss. Other than that he had an excellent game

Ulloa 5 Clumsy

Kramaric 7 Composed for the winner, surely has to play next week?

Albrighton 7 Some good crosses, defended well too

King 7 Pleased for him. Knows where the goal is

We will win our next 3 games, guaranteed, and Andy king will be instrumental in all of them. Picked these 4 games out a while ago and after today, I'm just positive it will happen.

Kasper 7 - still flappersaurus but made some very big saves.

 

RDL 7 - took up some good positions

Morgan 6 - did ok, still a bomb scare

Huth 6 - more assured

Schlupp 6 - I actually think he offers something, I just haven't worked out what yet

 

Mahrez 4 - crap. I'm not his biggest fan.

Cambi 8 - brilliant

James 6 - passing is so sloppy at times

 

Nuge 7 - better with him in the team

Vardy 6 - a pest, but will never score goals at this level

Ulloa 4 - what's happened?

Overall we were good and Pearson generally got it right. But West Ham have nothing to play for and are on a crap run of form.

Great performance from City, proper substitutions for a change and Albrighton, Kramaric & King deserve a start next week, Cambiasso was sublime....

Kasper, Huth, Cambiasso, Albrighton and Kramaric were all sensational today!!!!! Big well done to Kasper on some fine saves that could have easily been goals.

De Laet - 6 - Just needs a little work on positioning

Huth - 7 Solid

Cambiasso - 9 Simply a joy to see in a Leicester shirt

 

Mahrez - 6

Albrighton - 8 few silly moments but otherwise pure class and forward thinking

Vardy - 6+ Would have been a seven if he scored that 90+2 chance.

 

Nuge - 6

Ulloa-5+ Seems to be in a bad run of form, miss his goals.

 

Krammy - 8 So nice watching him play, so talented!

 

King - 7 Unfair rating as I can only remember one tackle and his goal from the game.

 

City in general 7+ Nuge should have put us 2 up and we should have thrashed them but otherwise pretty decent result.

 

West Ham - 5+ - didn't seem like they wanted it but still made us work for it.

 

Referee - 7 I booed him a lot but thought he had a good day.

 

Nige - 8 Spot on today, maybe Wasyl in for Morgan but it was never gonna be the case.

Kasper 6 - Couple of very good saves. Would have been more if it wasn't for a few awful kicks and flapping at crosses.

 

RDL 6 - Pretty good going forward, left exposed defensively by Mahrez but did okay. Double the player Simpson is.

Morgan 6 - Started off terribly, was hoping his knee injury would force him off. Much better 2nd half and carried the ball forward too.

 

Huth 7 - Solid enough, was giving a handful with Sakho up there but defended well, Was dangerous in the opposition box too.

 

Schlupp 4 - Caught out of position horribly for the goal, poor positioning throughout. Bad decision making going forward too.

 

 

Mahrez 4 - Pretty poor performance, looked disinterested and can't complain about being brought off at half time.

 

James 5 - Little lightweight against their 2 big powerful centre midfielders. Couple of time could have drove forward but played the safe pass. Set pieces not great too.

Cambiasso 8 (MOTM) - Best player on the pitch by a distance. Kept the ball well and also tried to play defence splitting passes. Great goal and pure passion.

 

Vardy 7 - Did alot of hard work and linked up well with the other forwards. Really should have scored atleast once though but pace caused problems.

 

 

Nugent 5 - First 20 was fantastic, but after missing the penalty disappeared and lost confidence. Good work rate but too slow of thought at times, especially on the break.

 

Ulloa 5 - Linked up okay at times, but most of the time too busy wrestling his man instead of focusing on the ball. Some decent defensive headers.

 

 

Albrighton 6 - Didn't really get the sarcastic cheers when he came on. Did okay and great work rate and a few decent deliveries. By no means our 'saviour' as some suggest.

Kramaric 7 - Looked really sharp and was unlucky not to score. Did some decent defensive work too. Should start next week I reckon.

 

King 7 - Can't remember him doing anything put popped up to score a vital goal. Glad it was him with his passion for the club.

 

 

Pearson 8 - Set up attacking and his changes made a positive impact. Can't really criticise much he did today.

 

 

West Ham 5 - Looked like a team who were a solid side, but didn't have anything to play for so extra intensity wasn't there. Better football than previous years under Sam

 

 

Ref 6 - Pretty decent performance from him. Few soft fouls either way were dubious and Collins was on a tightrope for the 2nd half. Docked a point for intercepting Esteban's glorious pass.

Well done Leicester.

Impressed by Pearson, Clattenburg and West Ham performances....but we deserved to win

Lost the midfield battle in first half. Matty James ineffective, Mahrez poor, Cambiasso sheer class (MoM) and Vardy great all match bar in front of goal. Kasper was really good. Glad to see Albrighton come on and change the game.

De Laet was great first half and struggled second, tactical substitution paid off and Kingy helped win the game. Leo won peno but did little else (he needs crosses) and Nugget was off his game. Jeff was Jeff, some good defending, some poor positioning and is developing - think he's best on wing

Wes did ok and actually thought about a pass to let Vards in near end of first half. Was is a better defender.

I think we will still stay up

Nige - 9. Perfect subs.

 

Kasper - 8. Suspect distribution on occasion, but some vital saves.

 

RDL - 6. Decent performance, needed to track back quicker though.

Wes - 7. Did what needed doing, but they got a few free headers off him today.

Huth - 8. Solid.

Schlupp - 2. Awful. Cost us the goal, shaky on the ball and I counted his completed passes on one hand. I know he's there for the extra attacking threat, but it'd be farcical if Konch doesn't get another chance after that. Honestly the single worst individual performance of the season, and I'm normally a fan of his. WHU started targetting him after the goal and Vardy of all people ended up covering for him, killing a lot of our own attacking threat (though he gets an extra point for doing that well - silver lining I guess). Shouldn't be happening, simple as.

 

Mahrez - 5. Bang average, seemed to lack some confidence for whatever reason today. Some decent runs.

James - 7. Pretty assured performance, and his corner delivery is improving too. Complements Cambiasso so well, not in the limelight today but tidy enough.

Leicesterfan- 10 MOTM. Absolutely immense. Box to box, brilliant strike, marshalling everyone around him, great defensive work, and the only real light in our 15 minute down spell at the end of the first half.

 

Ulloa - 5. Started like a rocket, but after the missed penalty went missing. Won some headers and the penalty, but otherwise underwhelming.

Nugent - 7. Unlucky with the penalty, good save rather than bad attempt. Went missing a bit after, but excellent second half, especially once Kramaric came on. Like him playing in the hole behind him and Vardy.

Vardy - 9. Duracell bunny. Did absolutely everything right today except score, and as with Nuge's penalty, his 1-on-1 at the end was more a good save than a bad miss. Vital for our run-in, has bounced back well.

 

Subs -

 

Albrighton - 9. Man on a mission. Sublime after the odd lost ball early on, and best crosser of a ball at LCFC since Steve Guppy. Needs to play at West Brom too, in for Mahrez.

Kramaric - 8. Excellent, the guy loves dribbling, and unselfishly tee'd up Vardy for our winner. Him, Nugent and Vardy will be lethal if they get their shooting boots on, the pace and flair between them is mad.

King - 8. The invisible man was box-to-box in his cameo. Scored a potentially massive goal and got some vital defensive clearances in too. And LCFC through and through - mancrush developing, sorry Camby. :wub:

 

West Ham - 5. Clearly dangerous on the counter, but it took an absolute feck-up from Schlupp for them to actually find the net. Collins their MOTM, got to almost (thankfully just almost!) everything.

 

Clattenburg - 8. Let the game roll and clearly a lucky charm for us anyway.

 

Pearson - STAY. Silly question.

Schmeichel 5 Good distribution, terrible on crosses

De Laet 7 One of his more convincing days

Huth 8 Commanding

Morgan 6 Looked tired & short of confidence, but hung in there

Schlupp 3 Shocking, forward & back; terribly wasteful in possession; no composure

Mahrez 6 OK, nothing special; surprised if he was subbed for performance

Cambiasso 8 Midfield controller; MoM

James 6 Competent, no more

Vardy 6 (8 for team play; 4 for finishing)

Nugent 6 Kept battling intelligently for the team; love him, even on a "meh" day

Ulloa 5 Didn't seem to find space

 

Albrighton 7 Decent in possession (unusually); good crosses (as per usual)

Kramaric 7 Looked sharp & playing further forward where we need him - I'd restore him to start, based on that cameo

King 7 Cool in possession (unlike some) & seized his moment - pleased for him

Morgan- 7 much more assured from big wes, looks better in a two imo

Huth- 7.5 Solid! Would love us to sign him permanently

Schlupp- 6 At fault for the goal but thought he did well otherwise

Mahrez- 5 Thought he was too lightweight and predictable today, cuts in every time

James- 6 didn't really make much of an impact on the game, sort of drifted by

Cambiasso- 9 Class from start to finish, think he gave the ball away once. Great goal

Vardy-7.5 Great energy and pace that created numerous chances, should've scored

Nugent-7.5 So lively and created loads of chances, good game

Ulloa-6 Won quite a few flick ons but our system just doesn't suit him

Albrighton 7- looked shaky at first but after that he put in 3 or 4 cracking deliveries. Should start against west brom

Kramaric 7- the game changed when he came on. Full of trickery and his first touch is class. Again he should start next week

King-6.5 Delighted for him that he got the winner. Love Kingy

Pearson- 9 Formation, selection and substitutions all spot on today.Stay

Opposition- 5 Looked like they have nothing to play for at times

Ref- 6 pretty much spot on with most things. A bit picky at times

I'm delighted with today, but it's funny how different the ratings would have been if it was 1-2. Vardy and Nugent would be getting 4s  lol

 

On balance:

 

Kasper - 8 - Saved us a few times, kicked really well

De Laet - 7 - Did very well

Huth - 7 - Commanding

Morgan - 7 - Didn't put a foot wrong

Schlupp - 5 - Don't trust him as a fullback in this league

 

Mahrez - 5 - End product??

James - 7 - Strong, good display

Cambiasso - 9 - Hero

Vardy - 6 - Played a big part but his finishing isn't good enough

Nugent - 7 - Good play, but never fancied him for the penalty

Ulloa - 5 - Use your brain man, stop fouling

 

Albrighton - 6 - Imagine there's some raving about how he changed the game, he was ordinary

Kramaric - 7 - Cut above, unlucky not to score

King - 7 -  :wub:

 

Ref - 7 - He's a good ref

Opposition - 6 - Always looked a threat, they've got some players

NP - 8 - Deserves credit today
