Does that include us?
ousefox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I genuinely have no idea when the last time I watched channel 5 was. Could be at least 5-10 years.
Footballwipe Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Shame, pillor the FLS as much as you like, the chit was was BS and it was on late (though we all have iPlayer or a PVR now) but it dedicated a good amount of time to all three leagues. Remember the Championship, 80% of the show dedicated to the Championship and then a whip round for the other two, and some weeks nothing at all. Pitiful, awful, rubbish. So long as they keep that core of having a good amount of time deciated to each league, and not just have Leeds/Newcastle etc as the main game just because they're 'massive' for viewers then it should be okay. Replace the chit chat with the adverts and it should be fine.
Vicki Vixen Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Always liked the FLS, still usually watch it on iPlayer on a Sunday evening. Especially liked the Mark Clemmit segments.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 If ever the teams in the Championship playoffs needed some motivation, this is it!
lgfualol Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I've seen a few people saying this is great news because the FLS has short highlights and stuff. I think they've not realised there will be adverts every 13 minutes.
Webbo Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 I genuinely have no idea when the last time I watched channel 5 was. Could be at least 5-10 years. Yeah, like you don't watch Neighbours.
Webbo Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Really couldn't care less. Hopefully we won't be on it and I struggle to stay awake after midnight anyway.
Leicesterpool Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Quite sad use to like it on BBC, but now we're getting an ad break every ten minutes. Does anyone remember that bad Premiership hightlight programme they had on ITV.
AKCJ Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Always liked the FLS, still usually watch it on iPlayer on a Sunday evening. Especially liked the Mark Clemmit segments. Seriously? He's in the Chiles and Owen bracket.
StanSP Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Quite sad use to like it on BBC, but now we're getting an ad break every ten minutes. Does anyone remember that bad Premiership hightlight programme they had on ITV. The Premiership. With 'Beautiful Day' by U2 as intro music.
Stadt Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Imagine the dross that are gonna present itProbably that gadget show bellend
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Think the BBC did a good job of cramming so much into such a short period of time, The Championship with Matt Smith really did used to be dogshit. If they get someone half decent in I can't see why Channel 5 couldn't make a good fist of this.
The Doctor Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Was it them or channel 4 who used to do Italian football with James Richardson? Could be a good move if it was them.
StanSP Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Was it them or channel 4 who used to do Italian football with James Richardson? Could be a good move if it was them. Channel 4 and that was a superb show.

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 Was it them or channel 4 who used to do Italian football with James Richardson? Could be a good move if it was them. GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALAZIOOOOO Channel 4 Saturday mornings - Transworld Sport, Football Italia, something else, GamesMaster. Football League highlights on Channel 5 will have it's pro and cons: Pro - won't feature that bellend doing the keepy uppies in the intro Cons - adverts every 10 minutes (for Bingo websites, Jacamo, Amigo loans) - almost certainly presented by Dominic Littlewood or a homeless Adrian Chiles - can't imagine Channel 5 will budget for pundits, so any available will be from amateur teams - will feature a fairly high profile prize draw, where the prize list and premium rate phone number is relayed before and after every advert break. - expect about 15 minutes of actual football footage spread over a 2 hour show (accounting for adverts, prize draws, sponsors, and waffling from presenter, and possible chat-show-lite features where people you don't know about talk about their favourite team or bullshit in the community bits)
