Thanks and Apologies to Nigel Pearson

Yeah doesn't come without good patches though does it? That's what needs to be remembered.

I think we would all rather spread our results around next season and be more consistent through the year, without putting pressure needing crazy runs like we've just done.

That should be the aim for us next season imo. 45 point target

Really is no need for anyone to appologise,

Anyone who hasn't said anything daft about football hasn't talked about football! (and to be fair at the time it wasn't that daft)

its not a day for the told you so's. The fact is we all love our club.

In fact I remember when i adamantly argued Morrison was a better player than Hobbs on here! :D

Those who wanted Pearson out shouldn't apologize - just their opinion at the end of the day, although luckily it was wrong. It's the small minority who resorted to personal abuse to NP who should be apologizing.

Always been behind Pearson and the lads - even in the darkest of moments ie Villa away in the cup and Hull, so pleased he's turned it round.

So: it was the players fault when we were losing but only NP is responsible for the winning? Hypocritical. Some seem to think that fans can't criticise the manager or players while still giving full support on the terraces. Immature. Some choose to use this fantastic achievement to sneer at people who had justified concerns for PL safety. Pathetic. If NP had gone then so be it. If he still goes then so be it. The team looked down and the man was embarrassing. I love my team the same today as I did at Easter. Well done to NP, the coaches, players and fans. Awesome turnaround.

Well done to you, Tuna. Kudos for coming out and admitting to it!  :appl:

Hopefully, you're the first in a row of people coming forward and apologizing for their imbecile behaviour during this season (and even prior to that).

There's a long list of culprits - step forward and may each one of you start your own thread full of apologies.

I was a culprit ,looking back it's easy to say imbecile behaviour,it was a terrible run, from Mid September to late December, after Christmas we still didn't get results but did play some really good stuff.

Ultimately I couldn't be more pleased he's stayed and proved a lot of us wrong, this for me is the best feeling since supporting Leicester and for that Nigel I will never forget or call for your head again.you can be a bit of a bellend but you've got the club I love to the premier league and kept us there, onwards and upwards to mid table next season.thank you Nigel.

every year we have got better. I was always a fan of Pearson, me and my dad knew it would be tough this year, but my loyalty started to waver 2 months ago. Amazing, I will never doubt the man again.

Exactly! Just look at his time here!

08/09 - 1st in League One

09/10 - 5th in the Championship

11/12 - (from 10th to) 9th in the Championship

12/13 - 6th in the Championship

13/14 - 1st in the Championship

14/15 - 14(th?) in the Premier League

He's been here 6 seasons and every single one without exception we've improved on the previous season, I'm hoping our fans don't hound him out if we stay stagnant next season. Because he's shown that he's a long-term builder of teams, not a quick fix. We've had many short-term, quick fixes over the years and it never causes us to progress as a club it only causes us to devolve.

Regardless of all the sterling work he'd done for us in his first managerial spell here and then last season after the disappointment of the play offs from the season before, then like many on this thread, I was questioning Pearson's continuation in the job at various stages throughout the season when we were not winning games for so long. This feeling was paramount in the early part of spring for obvious reasons, after we'd just scraped a goal-less draw against relegation elect Hull. This was by playing the negative formation that had been at the core of our terrible winless run from January 10th - mid March.

Since King's crucial late winning goal v Hammers though, then the rest as they say, is history. A big thumbs up to Nige and the boys. Huth was a very important signing to bolster the defence and gradually started to give it confidence once we'd stopped gifting sides goals, as was Schmeichel's timely return between the posts to replace almost forgotten man Schwarzer - especially with his crucial saves during this superb run in. The midfield and attack has also linked up well and gone on to gain a lot of confidence along the way and altering the team formations from that losing streak to a more attacking formation with pace has paid dividends.

Why does anybody have to be right. People view the game differently, people have different perspectives. Some people find things acceptable, some people don't. I found his stubbornness in refusing to change things up, and subsequent consistent losses unacceptable.

Why people find the need to persist with this my cock is bigger than your cock, I was right you were wrong nonsense is beyond me. Enjoy the night as one and stop with the finger pointing. It's pathetic.

I'm guessing you wanted him gone then.

Proud of the fact I never considered sacking Pearaon as a good thing, I remember waking up after each game checking the news worried that he'd be gone.

This season has proved one certain thing, we have some of the most thickle fans I've ever known

Fantastic achievement by all, really looking forward to next Sunday, in 52 years of supporting the Foxes, reckon I won't better the last two.....funny thing is if we do finish 14th, we should have got (more) points from, Spurs h, West Brom h, Sunderland h, Hull h, Palace h, Stoke h, point being we can improve, couple of signings, Kramaric establishing himself what is possible next year.....

Alan Shearer suggesting Nigel could be manager of the season last night on MOTD.

Highly complimentary throughout.

Good lad.

Always happy to be proved wrong! Have admired Pearson's great work at this club since 2008 and League One but I must admit to calling for his head a few months ago. It is clearly the most incredible escape (from any relegation situation in any division!) in modern times. The one statistic that stands out is 5 clean sheets from the last 6 games, utterly remarkable, given how generally weak and error-prone our defence/goalkeeping had been for most of the season. Full credit to you, Nigel, an amazing achievement and I hope you remain at this club for many years to come.

Maybe Leicester fans for the second time have learnt that stability in football is a very good thing.

The constant chopping and changing can destroy clubs. Pearson is at the stage where he's built in the club in tandem with the owners. He's part of it now.

No I don't agree.

The MANAGER is the important thing.

We've stayed up because Pearson learnt the division in time.

West Brom and Villa have stayed up because they made the change at the right time and brought in decent managers who also coped with the demands of the division.

Hull, it looks likely, will,be relegated, having retained Bruce. Same with Burnley (although they did not too badly to be fair).

The stability thing is only factor with the right man in charge. Hats off to those who decided to keep Pearson. You were right.

You have touched on my argument though. This squad is pretty much 95% Pearsons doing. Hence you stick with it. Once he wasn't sacked in Nov/Dec, you run the risk of upsetting a squad.

I turned after the Cup match at Villa Park and I'm not sorry at all. That performance was typical of the negative shite we had been delivering week in week out and at that time smacked of a side who were probably already down not giving a shit about an opportunity to take this club to Wembley. I'm glad I have been proven wrong about us being down but I had every right to be angry with some of the football we were seeing which is what got us into the predicament we were in in the first place.

Pearson does deserve great credit for turning things around and there's nobody I would rather see leading us to success. I've always liked the man, whatever I've thought of the football at times this season. But I always thought our squad was good enough to survive and I maintain that we should have been more comfortable than we have been throughout this season.

Surely not though? I've been pro-Nige all the way but we won 2 of 24 games at one point, what he's achieved in the last 8 has been nothing short of incredible but surely you have to look at the season on the whole?

Well done Nige and everybody at the club. Never gave up and pulled off one hell of an escape!

Now we have a great manager with a full season of premier league experience (good and bad). Wouldn't expect nearly as many controversial moments from him next season either

He should be a candidate, he has achieved his targets in style.
