Tuna Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 What an unbelievable achievement, what a season and what a manager. I was one of those morons calling for Nigel's head earlier on in the year and for that I apologize, and I was wrong. I think a lot of us lost our heads, he turned it round and deserves all the plaudits. Really struggling to find the words to describe it really.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Always believed and stuck by Pearson, what he has done for this club is truly incredible... League One to going into a second PL season, amazing... surely no one can doubt him now
Swarles Barkley Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Same here. Doubted him after the watford game but turned it around, doubted him this season and he turned it around. Take back everything I said and more than happy to eat my words!! The man is a legend

TheUltimateWinner Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Also holding my hands up, wrote him off. Sorry Nige, will never doubt you again.
glenelgfox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Hmm this is going to be the biggest thread on this forum if everyone who wrote off us and Pearson comes on here and apologies!
LanguedocFox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Can honestly say I've never doubted him nor that we would stay up. But really pleased that we have done it in some style, and before the last match of the season. Next week is going to be sooooo much fookin fun.

I honestly never wanted him to go even if we'd gone down. Hero
StanSP Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I don't want to go all big-headed but I was in the minority who wanted him to last the season even in the shittest parts of the season
lestajigs Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Yes me to, well done Nigel brilliant job, I was wrong
SecretPro Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I can only echo the sentiments. I've never been a 'Pearson Hater' but I did want him gone at Christmas. Nothing wrong with having doubts after a run like that but I'm thankful he's now still here. #PearsonIn
Sir Shep Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 At the time we were right, then cometh the man and puts us firmly in our place! Now go win the title next season!!!!!!
splinterdream Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I doubted him when it seemed obvious we needed Albrighton but for all I knew he may not have been giving everything in training so let the man lead us to a European place I say.
Guest Bilo Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Lost my head as well and called for him to go, I honestly thought he was bang out of his depth around Christmas time. He's masterminded an unbelievable recovery from what looked like a hopeless situation and we've played some scintillating football in the process. I'm sure the players we have already have learned a great deal, as has Pearson. A few more additions, experience of the PL for Pearson and the players, as well as the fact that we've improved our league standing under Pearson every single year all mean that I can't wait for the summer or indeed next season. Hats off to you Nige, sorry I doubted you. Humble Pie never tasted better.
Corky Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Had my doubts this season but again, he's done what has been asked. Promotion from League One, promotion from the Championship and survival in the Premier League. Five remarkable and entertaining full seasons in charge. What he stays or goes he's improved the club in all areas and he's made the club enjoyable to support again.
sdb Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I didn't want to start such a thread because it sounds completely self-centred, but I took a LOT of stick off a few pretty aggressive chaps in SK2 after the 0-0 vs. Hull for sticking up for Pearson. 'He's taking us down', 'time for Cambiasso and Phillips to take over', 'look at what changing managers has done to them' [pointing at Palace and West Brom results (whilst ignoring a QPR loss)]. Anyone on here care to own up/apologise?! You were pretty rude, but also bang wrong! Anyway, what a day, and I cannot wait for next weekend!!!
J.Lisemore Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 As much as I love him, I had my doubts over Nige too, didn't think he could turn this around when we really did look down and out. Unbelievable achievement from him and the boys, so proud to be a Leicester fan!
cityfanlee23 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I'll stand by my points in december, where fans had reason to doubt his ability at this level as an improving manager but also as a figurehead, proud to say he proved my month or so of doubt wrong. Let's hope he can learn from all this and improves significantly in weak areas to avoid it again next year, and we could be in for a top 14 again (preferably with about 8 points clear of relegation )
ozleicester Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Had my doubts, not sure if i said i wanted him gone....but either way... a Hero! One Nigel Pearson
Floridafox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Happy to get in line and admit had big doubts - I was wrong. With Pearson in charge genuinely believe we will build on this and enjoy many seasons of Premier League football. THANK YOU Nigel, the word 'safe' just doesn't do it justice
lgfualol Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 It looked impossible. Nigel was the only one that could get us out of the mess we were in (unless we got Mourinho or something). I feared for you Nigel. Big up to Top & Vichai for keeping him in charge.

To be fair, we were pretty crap at times earlier this season... don't blame people for getting frustrated....
MC Prussian Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Well done to you, Tuna. Kudos for coming out and admitting to it! Hopefully, you're the first in a row of people coming forward and apologizing for their imbecile behaviour during this season (and even prior to that). There's a long list of culprits - step forward and may each one of you start your own thread full of apologies.
