StanSP Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Ronald Koeman, Garry Monk, Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger & Nigel Pearson. Winner announced tomorrow. G'won Nige!
AKCJ Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I reckon i'd put him 4th. Monk, Koeman, Mourinho, Pearson, Wenger. In that order.
sylofox Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Who votes on it? If it is the press he is fvcked and if it is the league I do not think he will fare much better
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Even to be in the top five. What is going on? Cambiasso POTY. Vardy in the England squad . These last couple of months have been hallucinatory but it's actually got even more bizarre in the past few days.
Bryn Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Think I'd give it Koeman. The way that squad got decimated I thought they were ****ed, to make that many quality signings and integrate them to such effect is top notch. Monk second, amazing performance but benefitted from a settled squad with some solid additions. Mourinho third, bought the right players, used them in the right way and romped home. Pearson fourth, great escape. Wenger hit a solid par and shouldn't be nominated. I'm more impressed with Pardew and Pulis frankly.
Tielemans63 Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Got to be mourinho for me. Yes he's a twat and yes they've got money to chuck about but to win the double and be the best team in the country by a hundred miles is still pretty impressive. Arsene Wenger?! Whatever
Rincewind Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 How did Wenger get in there? Average season for Arsenal and FA cup still to play. Not winner in Europe.
Tom's Pasta Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Monk for me, for such an inexperienced manager he has been incredibly professional and has got Swansea playing the way he wants them playing, plus they've pulled off some amazing results despite losing their best player in January. Then Koeman for getting his squad to gel together so quickly, Then mourinho for just doing what he always does Then Pearson for keeping a squad motivated and believing despite such a long losing streak Wenger doesn't even warrant a mention, just another same old arsenal season
One Legged Beaver Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Would have Hughes and Pardew ahead of Pearson and Wenger to be honest.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Koeman has been utterly useless since after Christmas tbh. Monk or Mourinho probably
cc_star Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Who votes on it? If it is the press he is fvcked and if it is the league I do not think he will fare much better A lot of the press like him and those that don't understand his occasional prickly nature, there's no issue there.--------------- Monk, Hughes & Mourinho have had phenomenal seasons, Koeman had a weak 2nd half. for me Pearson hasn't been consistent enough... Although he's one of the few managers who has hit the target set for them at the beginning of the season, so his nomination is well earned!
Benguin Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 I think you've got to base the award on achievements based on potential. Mourinho - Clear title winner, league cup winner and good transfers. But is that surplus the expectations of Chelsea? Didn't do too great in the Europe or the FA cup. Not a winner for me. Wenger - Cup Final, 3rd place. Not to expectations really, Think they should have mounted a more serious challenge for the title and performed better in Europe. Not a winner for me. Monk - Very respectable league position, good income from Bony, good signings. Very good season for him although I think their achievements are what they would have expected rather than wished for. Not a winner for me. Pearson - Comedy gold in the media, Greatest escape ever witnessed, superb man management. Very impressed with his performance in the latter stage of the season, really want him to win but I think we need to remember the situation we were in. Runner up for me. Koeman - Took a club tipped to be relegated on a rampart first half of the season and then done enough to put them in good stead for European qualification. Excellent transfers for them. Winner for me.
C-man Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Stunned that Pardew hasn't made it. If Newcastle survive he will have kept two teams up in one season.

Pearson fourth, great escape. Wenger hit a solid par and shouldn't be nominated. I'm more impressed with Pardew and Pulis frankly. Pulis? Why? He took over an established PL side who had underperformed and accrued just 1pt more than Pearson since he joined WBA. Don't understand the Pulis love-in, especially on FT. Where they've finished is about par for them really
sdb Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Mourinho will surely win it after the MOTM moaning. Pearson doesn't deserve to win it, as much as I love him. Would be awesome though!
shailen Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Out of the five I'd go for this order Koeman Monk Jose NP Wenger A lot of people at the start of the season had both Soton and Swansea to struggle which they haven't done so to be fighting for Europe is a fantastic achievement for either manager. Jose has done really well, particularly in the bigger games but everyone expected them to win the league, but it's still a good achievement. NP has done well over the last 10 games or so, and to be fair we haven't exceeded expectations too much over a full season. Wenger has had a good second half of the season, but they were poor in the first half. Purely based on which managers have truly exceeded expectations, you have to give it to Monk or Koeman. NP has to be commended for the way he has kept morale up despite things going against us and us being the 'unluckiest team in the league' and produced something spectacular. Funny to think Vardy, who did not quit football because of NP, is now an England international. That shows the belief he has, because a lot of our fans before that Boro game last season gave him a lot of stick,
Fox92 Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Koeman for me. Southampton squad was split - they lost a few key players - but he replaced them real well and they play good football.
MPH Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Koeman for me. Southampton squad was split - they lost a few key players - but he replaced them real well and they play good football. Bob 2nd half of the season though.... Has to be Mourinho for me.... didnt just sneak the league by a point.,.. they ran away with it...
Foxymcoxy Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Has to be Mourinho for me.... didnt just sneak the league by a point.,.. they ran away with it...Agree with this. Chelsea were nowhere near the title when he came back and now they are head and shoulders above the rest. We are used to it with Mourinho now but the man is a genius.
Corky Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Don't think he should win it. If Steve Bruce had done similarly with Hull I doubt we'd approve of his nomination. However he's had a better season than Wenger relatively speaking, that's an odd choice. Mourinho should win it.
lgfualol Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Monk or Koeman for me. Wouldn't surprise me to see Mourinho win. Wenger surprises me.
