Premier League 2015/16 Stuff it in here.

Sunderland don't even tend to get thumped by top sides. Villa, us, Norwich, Palace all have beaten them comfortably in the last six months. You could throw QPR winning away there in February 2-0 as an awful result too.

Do you think Sunderland fans will be asking for refunds for the flowers?

Sterling has provided real balance to the Man City team.

He cost a lot of money, but could be a key part of a title winning team. Laid down a real marker today.

Agreed. He's improved their team, helped others be more effective and it's showing. People slag him off because he's got mercenary written all over him but I maintain he's England's best upcoming player. Better prospect than Barkley easily.

Silva's been absolutely phenomenal in these opening two games.

Christ that my club feature is utter wank, the editing for the highlights is shit as a result.

They barely focused on our 'history' of the club considering they introduced it with our late 90's legends such as O'Neill, Heskey, Izzet, Lennon etc. Most of it centred on last season.

Top-5 Managerial Talking Points From Round Two Of The Premier League

It was yet another eventful weekend in the Premier League, jam-packed with goals, surprise scorelines and high drama. While it's no surprise to see the Manchester clubs hovering about at the summit of the table, Leicester's (2nd) position between the duo has certainly caught the eye, especially considering the Foxes were many people's pick for relegation.

An array of managerial talking points also arose, which we take a look at in more detail below.

Dick Advocaat cuts a lonely figure at the sack race summit

dick-advocaat.jpg

Sunderland's pre-season optimism has faded fast following crushing back-to-back defeats to Leicester (4-2) and Norwich (1-3), leaving Dick Advocaat's troops rock bottom of the table, and the odds-on 4/6 (Ladbrokes) favourites for relegation.

Advocaat will no doubt be questioning his decision to delay his retirement and spend one more year in the chaotic world of football management. The Dutchman remains the frontrunner in the Premier League Sack Race, priced at just evens with the likes of Bet Victor and Betfair, and his side's horror start leaves him in an uncomfortable position.

Mumbling Mourinho's odds slashed

jose-mourinho.jpg

A nightmare week for Jose Mourinho ended in a devastating 3-0 defeat away to title rivals Man City, who already find themselves a sizeable five points ahead of the defending champions after just two games.

Mourinho has dominated the headlines following last weekend's doctor controversy, which undoubtedly unsettled his side ahead of Sunday's crunch clash. After the game Mourinho absurdly claimed that it was a "fake result", a laughable comment, which doesn't help his cause.

As a result Mourinho was rapidly moved from obscurity, out at 33/1 (he was 100/1 before the season), down to just 10/1 (Betfair), but you can expect these odds to slip further should Chelsea slip-up away to West Brom next weekend, which is by no means an easy fixture.

Ranieri continues to roar

claudio-ranieri.jpg

Leicester City's stunning start under Claudio Ranieri continued on Saturday after they upset West Ham - who beat Arsenal on the opening weekend - 2-1 at Upton Park. The Italian now has maximum points from two games, with the Foxes up in 2nd, dizzying heights for the club.

The superb victories means the Midlands outfit will be overflowing with confidence ahead of Saturday's very winnable fixture at home to Tottenham. This is followed by a trio of matches against Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Stoke, meaning Ranieri's roarers have every chance of staying up in dream land.

Mauricio Pochettino desperate for fresh faces

At half-time on Saturday Tottenham were cruising, 2-0 up against Stoke, and all set to register their first win of the season. However, a disastrous final dozen minutes saw Spurs slip up, with the Potters fighting back to carve out a deserved draw at the Lane.

The result highlighted the need for Daniel Levy to supply Mauricio Pochettino with some more funds before the transfer window slams shut on 1 September. Spurs supporters will be very concerned at the underwhelming start to the season, and if the Londoners struggle at high-flying Leicester, then Pochettino (currently 16/1 to suffer the sack next) will start to feel the heat.

Roberto Martinez swats away critics in style

roberto-martinez.jpg

It's fair to say that Roberto Martinez headed into Saturday's match away to Southampton under a little bit of pressure following a disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Watford. Everton fans are desperate for their club to return to bounce back, following a woeful 2014/15 season, but they were left disappointed after the opening weekend.

However, this feeling of disappointment has quickly turned into jubilation after Everton sizzled on the south coast, recording a shock 3-0 victory at St Mary's. Romelu Lukaku was backed to his best, netting a superb brace, while the brilliant Ross Barkley was once again immense.

Martinez, who has drifted out to 25/1 in the sack race, knows that there is a long season ahead, but without the distraction of European football Everton will be expected to mount a top-6 finish, while also challenging in the domestic cups.

Someone accurately described Chelsea as "The Millwall of the Premier League". Which is very apt.

My feelings for this season's title race is simply "anyone but them".

I predict 2-0 Liverpool (Benteke and Milner), with Bournemouth to frustrate them in scoring more by being defensive.

How shit is Cuadrado by the way? 26 million as well, what a waste :nigel:

I don't even think it's that he's terrible, he's just not a 26m Chelsea player. He had a good world cup and all of a sudden everyone went nuts.

I'm sure if he'd come here for 10m and played every week we'd love him.
