Guest Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 That quote was made at least 5 years ago. If so it sounds pretty much like people were saying on here when he was hired.
talking_goldfish Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 That quote was made at least 5 years ago. The quotes were made this week to an Italian publication. EDIT: Telegraph article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/managers/jose-mourinho/11918997/Jose-Mourinho-thanks-Roman-Abramovich-for-Chelsea-vote-of-confidence.html
Xen Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 That quote was made at least 5 years ago. Really? Seeing as he's talking about Capello as Russia's national coach, but Capello only took that role in 2012...
C-man Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Really? Seeing as he's talking about Capello as Russia's national coach, but Capello only took that role in 2012...Well the part about Ranieri was definitely brought up in the summer when we made the appointment so it's at very minimum 3 months old. I think the comments were made when Mourinho was at Inter and Ranieri at Juve.EDIT: 20 November 2008 - the media are an embarrassment. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1087810/Former-Chelsea-bosses-Mourinho-Ranieri-come-face-face-Italian-job.html
ScouseFox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 he's said something very similar before then cos I read it when we were linked to ranieri
CosbehFox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 The quotes were made this week to an Italian publication. EDIT: Telegraph article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/managers/jose-mourinho/11918997/Jose-Mourinho-thanks-Roman-Abramovich-for-Chelsea-vote-of-confidence.html The Italian newspaper used on the side of the main article. It's an old quote. You know when you get an main article and then a side article of 'Mourinhos previous fall outs'.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I really do think Mourinho has lost the plot. He's always come out with some garbage (but is been accepted but he's been successful). Now it just looks like ranting.
talking_goldfish Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Jurgen Klopp has agreed a three-year deal to become Liverpool manager http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34469429
jonthefox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Jurgen Klopp has agreed a three-year deal to become Liverpool manager http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34469429 Good appointment.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 yeah that's not a new quote, besides looks like only the telegraph are reporting it too.
ARM1968 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Jose is running scared. He loves throwing sh1t randomly in the hope it deflects from him. Silly little man. He needs to shut up and concentrate on his own drowning team. Klopp is a great appointment for liverpool. Hope he takes a while to sort things though.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Wouldn't it be utterly fantastic if Chelsea got relegated! One can always dream..
foxfanazer Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Wouldn't it be utterly fantastic if Chelsea got relegated! One can always dream.. What and hear Sean Dyche bang on about Chelsea being market leaders all season. Nah!
biggs Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Wouldn't it be utterly fantastic if Chelsea got relegated! One can always dream.. yeah and we do it to them last match of the season......now that would be fantastic
filbertstreet Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 If Chelsea went down I would eat my own head. don't believe you that sounds fishy
EnglishOxide Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Klopp seems a good fit for Liverpool. They are roughly in the same state as Dortmund when he took over. In disarray and living off past glories, a rich history and a crowd known for its voice. Maybe he can get Anfield going again because it has been one of the worst grounds for atmosphere for years. Its good to see him in the Prem, I can't see Liverpool not getting top 4 now. He has some good talent to work with already.
Woof Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I thought the Mourhino quote was recent. In any case it is totally lacking in grace and style.
Tuna Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I thought the Mourhino quote was recent. In any case it is totally lacking in grace and style. Since when were those 2 words ever associated with Mourinho? He's an arrogant, classless fool.
UPinCarolina Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Mourhino, were he coaching in any other sport and making the same types of comments, would be even more of a clown than he already is. For some reason people seem to tolerate him more than you might suspect.
ealingfox Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Have they sorted Player and Manager of the Month for September yet? I know we lost so Ranners probably won't be up there but Vards must be in with a shout surely?

For some reason people seem to tolerate him more than you might suspect. Maybe that's because heis team's usually win. Seems a good reason to me. Didn't we tolerate NP's insane outbursts too.

I know we lost so Ranners probably won't be up there but Vards must be in with a shout surely? Not yet, they've done the fan award but that's not the PFA Player of the Month award. Vardy in with a great chance.
