jammie82uk Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 It's ridiculous really. Unless there's some shady business going on between club and agent, Newcastle and the FA should surely have picked this up and addressed it. Anderlecht have declined to comment, clearly turning a blind eye to the issue and are now rubbing their hands in glee after suckering Newcastle into paying an astronomical amount for him. You wonder if Newcastle are hoping for exactly the same thing by selling him on for a profit in 2-3 years time... Anderlecht would have a case to answer to as well because it was them who registered him as his birth date being in 1994 The reason I don't think The FA are particularly bothered about his age as Newcastle are not breaking any FA rulings apparently
shen Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Anderlecht would have a case to answer to as well because it was them who registered him as his birth date being in 1994 The reason I don't think The FA are particularly bothered about his age as Newcastle are not breaking any FA rulings apparently I know you've read it, but that CNN article claims he wasn't even registered by the Belgian FA when he initially joined on trial and played something like 12-13 games before the situation was adressed. It all gets laughable as FIFA get involved. His 'new' D.O.B. meant he'd gone to Anderlecht as a minor, so the club, fearing a legal case, sent him back to Kinshasa without a contract until he was officially 18 years old. During this time, the court in Kinshasa conveniently ruled that his D.O.B. is indeed August 8th, 1994. Anderlecht pick him up after a couple of months and give him a 3 year contract... The agent, the player, the club (Anderlecht), the Congolese as well as the Belgian FA should all get punished, if it is proven his age has been falsified.
J.Lisemore Posted 12 November 2015 Posted 12 November 2015 Really late I know, but these Mark Hughes post match interviews are hilarious. Watched the highlights on MOTD and they were absolutely bombarded by Newcastle and he genuinely believes his side deserved a point and could have won. If it wasn't for Butland, they would of lost about 5-0.
Matt Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Aston Villa's left back Jordan Amavi out for the rest of the season with Cruciate injury.
lgfualol Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Aston Villa's left back Jordan Amavi out for the rest of the season with Cruciate injury. Really looks like this season is the one to relegate Villa.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 He's been quite handy by all accounts too.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Aston Villa's left back Jordan Amavi out for the rest of the season with Cruciate injury. absolutely gross injury aswell. lower leg almost went at a right angle. no sympathy for villa tbh, hope they go down... but i also hope sunderland, newcastle, bournemouth and watford go down
Tuna Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 He's been quite handy by all accounts too. Lost his place to Kieran RIchardason about a month ago.
lgfualol Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Alan Hutton and Kieran Richardson as their full backs. Jesus.
TheSomersetFox Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Alan Hutton and Kieran Richardson as their full backs. Jesus. almost De Laet and Konchesky-esque
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 November 2015 Posted 15 November 2015 Lost his place to Kieran RIchardason about a month ago. Thanks to Tim Sherwood whose decision making is hardly a definitive indication of a player's ability is it? Villa fans seem to think he's tidy enough.
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 I think AKCJ could be spot on with Utd winning the title. They were my call pre season, when I also said I thought Chelsea would finish 4th cos 'Terry is past it'. I got laughed at about that too. Defences DO win you titles and Utd concede relatively few goals. They remain my shout. The only dubious thing is Chelsea finishing 4th..they could well be much lower.
Captain... Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 Lost his place to Kieran RIchardason about a month ago. Very good going forwards, but naïve at the back, certainly got a talent a shame for him to be out for the season. Really makes you appreciate how fortunate we have been with injuries.

Then Newcastle can point the blame at Anderlecht for the registration error should it ever crop up.
AyewJoking Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 There is no way in a million years we could replace Vardy if he got injured, he's on a level I've never seen before from a City striker. So he is the best striker we will ever have? All downhill from here folks

shen Posted 16 November 2015 Posted 16 November 2015 Was thinking the same thing re: the last paragraph. With the way Newcastle are run these days, you just know they'll cash in if someone (stupidly) offers a big wad for him.

Dan Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Anthony Martial is on crutches after tonight. There's a good chance he'll not play against us.
My Nads Posted 17 November 2015 Posted 17 November 2015 Anthony Martial is on crutches after tonight. There's a good chance he'll not play against us. Wasn't worried about playing toothless Man U anyway, even more so if Martial isn't fit to play.
Jimothy Posted 19 November 2015 Posted 19 November 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34872166 The French national anthem will be played before all Premier League matches this weekend. Personally I think a minutes silence would be fine, but probably not observed.

Like you said, a minutes silence would be better.
