foxes_rule1978 Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 some belter rumours about sturridge like. won't post them cos they'll get delete but twitter or google it. klopp seems to be getting annoyed with him already, articles before his last return (which was like a week ago ) saying he told sturridge to man up and learn what "real pain" is. Oh dear... guess not everyone can be a machine like Vardy and just plays through the pain with a smile on their face
Donut Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 It almost feels like all the stars are aligning for Leicester City, it really is unbelieveable. First of all, manager who we love for the job he did gets sacked, there is an outcry, but it leads arguably to a better replacement in Ranieri as manager. Of course we will never know what would have happened if Pearson had kept his job, but in comes Ranieri and performances for the most part become unbelieveably good. Then Mourinho decides to throw Eva Carneiro and John Terry under the bus. And in doing so loses the harmony of his squad and watches them plummet down the league, taking them out of the title equation when most would have had them down as champions before a ball was kicked. Arsenal, Man Utd and Man City battle long injury lists robbing them of their so called "better players" and dont have the squad depth to cover them, tripping up in games they should be winning against teams like West Ham, West Brom and Stoke. Their performances in the Champions League also suffer badly, relegating some of them to the dubious honour of thursday night football, where they join the likes of Spurs and Liverpool in a super-europa league, and all the problems it could bring potentially. While all this carnage is happening, Vardy and Mahrez hit the form of their life and produce world class displays. A little fancied Danny Drinkwater, held in the shadows of Cambiasso and James all last season finds regular games......and form......alongisde a player many of us knew little about and has become a smash hit in N'golo Kante. Its this kind of chain of events, that moves our title ambitions from a firm 0% to.... 1 or 2%..... but its amazing how circumstances have played into our hands

I don't think that's too high its going to be one of those three.
Guest Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Great post Donut. It does indeed feel a bit like that at the moment. We may well still be a massive long shot but if we keep playing to our capabilities and external factors play into our hands, then we could be seeing something even more special than we already have this season. I'll keep hoping anyway
Leicesterpool Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Roberto Di Matteo to join Swansea? talk Monk will be getting the sack.
EnglishOxide Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 ****ing Sturridge the useless twonk. Used my emergency sub to replace Rooney with him after the Saints game. 1 match later and he's injured again. Got to wait another couple of months to shift him! That said I don't know whether it's bad luck this time or whether Klopp rushed him back?

I keep saying it but I challenge anyone to read your post there and then try and claim they would take 8th if they were offered it. This is no ordinary season. Everything is falling our way. We might just be in for something a bit remarkable. As for Sturridge... if I was Liverpool I'd cash in and look elsewhere. He is a very good striker but the injury proneness just doesn't justify his wages.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Is Sturridge a pussy, an alky or genuinely unlucky? Andy Carroll is another hugely injury prone player, and apparently heavy drinking can have a big effect on making your muscles tense and more likely to become damaged. However from observing Sturridge's goal celebration dance, I'm going for A. Pussy.
Fosse93 Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 IF say, Man Utd win the Europa and Man City win the Champions League... would the Premier League then have 6 teams in the Champions League next season? Getting a bit confused with it all!
FireFox Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 IF say, Man Utd win the Europa and Man City win the Champions League... would the Premier League then have 6 teams in the Champions League next season? Getting a bit confused with it all! No. Also one of them would have to finish outside the top 4 for the extra 5th spot. If both win and finish outside the top 4, then 4th place spot only gets Europa. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/newsid=2215121.html (In other words, we need a top 4 finish, top 3 if two English teams win the CL and EL but don't finish top 4.)

Good. I can only imagine the heartbreak if we finished 4th and by some spiteful twist of fate weren't allowed our chance to go into the champions league. It doesn't bare thinking about.
Guest Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 United, Liverpool, tottenham and probably arsenal all playing Thursday and Sundays. We couldn't could we....... Not for long.
kingcarr21 Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Sturridge injured AGAIN. Cant see Klopp wasting too much time on him. Replacement in January?
CloudFox Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Sturridge injured AGAIN. Cant see Klopp wasting too much time on him. Replacement in January? Really hope not, because you know EXACTLY who would fit perfectly into his Gegenpressing style...

He is a very good striker but the injury proneness just doesn't justify his wages. People were saying 10th would still be a fantastic season for us this week. Palace finished 10th with 49pts last season, Would anybody be happy with us W4 D5 L14 for the rest of the season to get 49pts? 6th is now par for the course as we're 6th favourites for the title. Me? I'd take 4th now if offered but wouldn't take 5th. How can I? I've already mapped it out in my head how we become Premier League Champions.
Foxymcoxy Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 We are 10 points clear of 11th place. Given how far back we came from last season we should know not to take anything for granted. Using points totals from last season is completely irrelevant. That said I think we are good enough to stay ahead of most of the teams below us. I would take 5th or 6th if offered it tbh.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I would take 5th or 6th if offered it tbh. I wouldn't - we are very likely going to be the first team to be safe this season (personally I think 35 points will do it) and this is the most mental Premier League season I can remember. We're absolutely flying and the big teams are stalling. There is an actual chance we could make the Champions League for the first time ever, and even a possibility that we could win the bloody Premier League title - either would be without doubt the biggest thing this club has ever achieved, especially considering our modest squad I'll still be impressed if we finish 5th/6th this season after everyone had us down as relegation fodder, but just imagine if we finish top 4. It'll change everything.

Ric Flair Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 happened to Spurs a few years back and they sacked 'arry as a result despite coming 4th But we're absolutely dog shit in europe this season. All teams will be out by the QF's again.
