Footballwipe Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 There's not even a pattern where we could predict our opening game from history... (Though in nine opening games we've only won one and drawn five!) 94/95 - Newcastle (H) 96/97 - Sunderland (A) 97/98 - Aston Villa (H) 98/99 - Manchester Utd (A) 99/00 - Arsenal (A) 00/01 - Aston Villa (H) 01/02 - Bolton (H) 03/04 - Southampton (H) 14/15 - Everton (H)
justfoxes Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 Norwich away !! Then next nine will be :- Chelsea home Villa. Away Manure home Palace Away Man city away Spurs home Arsenal home Newcastle away Bournemouth home Would be a bit spooky if that lot came up as first ten games !!!! LCCFox96 Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 We'll get a tough one on the road we've notoriously struggled with in recent years I reckon. Would hate either Arsenal, Swansea, Palace or West Ham away first.
sdb Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 It'll be a promoted side I bet. Would ideally like a mediocre team at home...WBA or Sunderland.

Hollism Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 Why would you want that? Because if we get Bournemouth away in the winter I'll be devastated
The Doctor Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 So long as Bournemouth away comes in either August/early September or late April/May, I'll be happy - when was the last time we got a seaside team not in the middle of winter?
Fox92 Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 Like always, I want a "winnable" home game. Everton, Sunderland - something like that. I think it'll be Norwich though.
Trumpet Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 You can't really 'think' it's going to be anyone. Every game is equally likely. There's absolutely no reason to suppose we'll be playing a particular team on the first day ahead of the others. Sorry to be a bore but this 'predict the fixtures' thing just seems a bit silly. st albans fox Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 Have to wait until June 17th for the answer! wonder why it takes them so long to sort out. don't they realise we have plans to make and need to know when and where we are playing.
promised land Posted 26 May 2015 Share Posted 26 May 2015 I probably want it to be Stoke at Home, I absolutely don't want it to be Bournemouth, Norwich or Watford. Chelsea will get a newly promoted club, always seem to get one first day. Personally think we will be away, home this season for first and last games so nailed on an away first game. Sunderland, Newcastle or Villa then, Saturday 3pm please no waiting til Sunday for the first game.
