Terrorist Attacks

Does anybody find it odd that no Muslim politicians or terrorists have come out against China and it's treatment of Muslims there? Where are the terrorist attacks in China? Where are the beheadings there? You do wonder why a drawing of some bloke who married a 6 year old when he was 50 seems to stir up more anger with Muslims then actual muslims being sent to concentration camps in China.

Possibly because the fundies are aware that the Chinese government is fully prepared to answer brutality with not only like brutality, but also disproportionate brutality.

I wouldn't say it's hypocritical, just self preservation.

NB. I sincerely hope that any answer to this post doesn't suggest that Western governments should take a hint from the Chinese in even a small way on this matter, lest like hypocrisy be shown.

Not really because the Muslim faith is so divided between itself. You only have to read up on Iraq and Iran for that.

Hypocritically as well there’s a fair few Muslim leaders who are in part reliant on Chinese investment. Pakistan immediately springs to mind

Don't want to get involved too much in this, but Stalin, Mao, Hitler and the like did follow quasi-religious theology - they just had themselves or the Party as the deity.

That kind of fundamentalist belief, no matter what name it chooses to call itself or what tenets it dresses itself up in, is the real problem.

Exactly.

Imagine implying this attack was performed by a non-religious person when the attacker was literally screaming God Is Great at the top of his lungs while beheading someone?

I think maybe the archbishop was implying that the people committing these atrocious attacks (regardless of if they scream "God is great" 9r not) have no place in proper religion and those people are not actually God fearing or religious people. That's my take on it anyways

UK terrorism threat level raised to 'severe'

The UK's terrorism threat level has been upgraded from "substantial" to "severe".

The move means security chiefs believe that an attack is highly likely but there is no specific intelligence of an imminent incident.

The move follows Monday night's shooting in Vienna in which four people died.

Last week, three others died in a knife attack in Nice, France, and a teacher was murdered in Paris last month.

Assessments of threat levels are taken by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), part of MI5, which makes its recommendations independently from the government.
