With regards to attacking us on our shores…

Do you really think they would wait until AFTER we have left Afghanistan to cause propblems? Not like, attack us when we were actually ‘occupying’ and ‘controlling’ things in Afghanistan?

Is this sarcasm or? if not then I think you're being naïve for one how easy would it be to kill or force someone into giving over their papers and passport it's really not hard to forge one anyway, not only that now we have no troops or control in the country of origin so we'll have less intelligence and 0 ability to act on any if we get it.
Like surely you don't think just because we had troops in another country we let our guard down elsewhere right that's not how it works, a major reason we haven't had any major attacks for a few years is because of intelligence services have been getting better at stopping them a influx of people and new faces/names will make that exponentially harder,

also it's not hard to see with this absolute farce and the internet to turn otherwise civil people against their new country it's happened before it'll happen again it's just a fact attacks will go up again.

Is it just me or does this sound dodgy as owt sounds like he's from the yorkshire dales one sec then slips into what sounds like his natural accent when he says shooting at us and back at us it's like he cant say it naturally -

Am just watching the 9/11 as-it-happened documentary on ITV.

No words needed..

Also watching, must have seen hundreds upon hundreds of videos when the planes hit and it still absolutely takes my breath away each and every time.

The sounds of those poor souls who jumped were absolutely harrowing

Am sure he will, but he definitely deserves a bravery award.

It's people like him that prevent these potential atrocities from happening, especially in a split-second of quick-thinking..

It just shows you that we all need to be vigilant about what's happening around us.

George Cross I'd imagine?

I think it's that one.

How mad is that - a bomb explodes in his taxi and he manages to get out and stumble away …..

Mental. I was picturing him stopping, getting out, locking it then running.

In the police conference they mentioned that the bomber was trying to assemble the bomb in the taxi and accidentally set it off rather than detonating it.

Not sure if that may have caused a slightly weaker explosion?

Yeah it didn’t look that bad in that video. Especially considering the guy was inside when it went off yet still got out.

The fact that the police responded so quickly with raids and arrests and that the planning and execution of the attack itself had a bit of botched/rushed feel to it leads me to think that the police were close to arresting this lot anyway and they got wind of this and bought forward/changed their original target/plan.

Someone claiming to know him said the brave driver saw sparks from the back seat and made a run for it.

Very lucky and he saved a lot of lives.

The people who do these are often pretty thick, it could've just been a crap bomb although that could've still done some serious damage in a contained area. I feel like there is a lot more to this though.
