the only way i can see Preki coming here is if Bradley comes, Bradley does not seem like he is coming so no Preki also. My money now is on Ranieri, it would not surprise me if Top is already in talks with him .

PLEASE LET THIS BE!

Leicester City have not made a move to recruit Bob Bradley as their next manager despite the former USA head coach being becoming the bookmakers' favourite.

Bradley is currently in charge of Stabaek, who are second in the Norwegian league.

The odds on him for the City job tumbled after his former assistant at Chivas in the MLS, Predrag 'Preki' Radosavljevic, stepped down from his role at Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday night.

Preki stated he was set to take a job in the UK and 'test himself at the highest level'.

That sparked speculation that 57-year-old Bradley, who has been previously linked with Aston Villa, was set for the City job with Preki as his assistant.

But Inge Andre Olsen, sporting director of Stabaek, told the Mercury there had been no contact from City.

"We have heard nothing, but there has been a lot of rumours about Bob since he came here," he said.

"I am not surprised there is speculation because Bob has done a fantastic job here and he would do a great job in England, I am sure."

City appear to be no closer to naming Nigel Pearson's successor as, one by one, the bookmakers' favourites appear to fade away.

Bolton boss Neil Lennon was the early favourite but it is understood City had not made an approach for him as of early this week, when Wanderers headed out for a pre-season tour of Austria.

Guus Hiddink was believed to be the man City wanted but Dutch journalists say the 68-year-old is not interested, while Jurgen Klopp seems to have been a complete non-starter.

The only manager who has openly said he wants the job is former Chelsea, Inter Milan, Juventus and Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri.

Like Preki, Jocelyn Gourvennec of Guingamp is another outsider who has surprisingly come in at short odds for the job.

Although the City job is seen as a fantastic opportunity for most managers, it would appear City are taking their time in identifying a candidate they feel can build on the success of Pearson, who was sacked 10 days ago.

Jurgen Klopp is a complete non starter, is that because we haven't contacted him or have we contacted him and the outcome was that it was a complete non starter?

If we haven't contacted him and it's an assumption its a complete non starter they are idiots, at least contact him FFS!

"Hi is that Jurgen? It's Andrew Neville here calling on behalf of Leicester City Football Club. We've just sacked our most popular and successful manager for nearly 20 years after he picked us up from our lowest ebb, came back to us after we pushed him out for no reason, got us back to the Premier League and secured safety in one of the most emotional and dramatic seasons ever. The fans and players loved him but who gives a stuff about that. We were wondering if you fancied repla.....hello? Hello?"

listen... given that Stuart Pearce's wife has the veto on him talking a job - may be we should encourage the Thais to consider Bob what's his name who I hear is doing a swell job in Norway and the Norwegian team would be up for a bit of compensation if we thougth bob was right - what do you guys think?

You could argue that sacking Pearson was exactly that!

look - we just don't know - we can all imagine a situation where pearson's interpersonal skills or  stoical tendencies (to never listen) lead to the Thais thinking he had to go - whatever his record.  So we can't say it was stupid until either we know the detail or we know who is coming next (e.g. sacking  the awkward to manage and media nightmare Pearson to bring in Ian Holloway say would be stupid)

Klopp said it's complete fantasy that he'd consider a club outside the top 8, which doesn't have to be top 4

So that basically means Spurs, Liverpool, Southampton & Swansea... Spurs & Liverpool obviously big clubs, Southampton & Swansea fantastic prospects for someone like Klopp

Of course the words never came from Klopp himself, it was obviously via the press
