fuchsntf Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Are they feeling flat, like some fans, or will they take it in their stride...
STUHILL Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 It's a squad built by Pearson and Walsh and he seems to have a good relationship with them all. Can't say any of them will be pleased, just hopefully they are all professional enough to get on with their jobs and hopefully they can have the same sort of chemistry with the new manager and play with the same intensity and spirit that has served us well for 3 or so years
foxfanazer Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Can imagine players like Vardy and Kasper being upset
Corky Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 I think they'll be pretty gutted, for all his faults his man-management appeared to be excellent and we had a harmonious training ground.
4everfox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 All ask to be transfer listed tomorrow ! I hope they do, then maybe the owners can see the error of their ways and beg Pearson to come back again.
Tielemans63 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Largely depends on who replaces him. Needs to be someone of considerable stature if they are to placate the players who must be wondering wtf has just happened too. If it's someone of the Malky MacKay / Brian McDermott mould then we can all forget it.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 I think after such a negative event we need someone to really encourage them to push on and come back better than ever Someone whos proven at doing this many times before, a la after Watford, a la after our slump... Oh wait.
Stevosevic Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 They'll be very disappointed, no doubt about it. It leaves them all uncertain about their future.
weller54 Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Can imagine players like Vardy and Kasper being upset They can just log onto their Internet Banking and check their balances... Soon cheer themselves up!
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 What happens if bids come in for our players without a current manager? Can see a few leaving tbh if offers come from bigger clubs.
st albans fox Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 What happens if bids come in for our players without a current manager? Can see a few leaving tbh if offers come from bigger clubs. Expect a few clubs to try their luck over the next day or two.
Mark_w Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 All ask to be transfer listed tomorrow ! I'd have more respect for anyone who did.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Players think about themselves, their contracts, their families first and foremost. The ones on good contracts will not be too worried. But there will be uncertainty. Who's gonna be retained, released, who will feature, who won't etc.
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 I'd have more respect for anyone who did.Like that's gonna happen..If you believe that players are somehow loyal to particular managers, so much so that they would jeapordise their futures, I suggest you're miles off.
elangLCFC Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Can't see what's keeping Vardy at the club any more if somebody comes in for him
Frank to be Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 If any player is of a mind to sulk over this then they'll have to move on. Can't see it though, our first team squad is mainly experienced players who have been around a bit, seen a few managers come and go, half of them weren't even here 12 months ago. If there is any personal disappointment I'd expect the player to get over it quickly and start concentrating on supporting and impressing the new manager and players.

Some of them signed new contracts probably with the idea that Pearson could help them develop...
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Pearson rescued Vardy and took him to the fringe of the England squad. Vardy doesn't play for Leicester, he plays for Pearson.
bovril Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Pearson rescued Vardy and took him to the fringe of the England squad. Vardy doesn't play for Leicester, he plays for Pearson. No, he plays for the club that pays his wages.
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Can't see what's keeping Vardy at the club any more if somebody comes in for him Fvcksake, hadn't thought about this until now. Not only have we lost a damn good manager, we're now in danger of upsetting some our best players.
lestajigs Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Nuge, Morgan, and Konch, will be thinking where do I go now
Guest Col city fan Posted 30 June 2015 Posted 30 June 2015 Pearson rescued Vardy and took him to the fringe of the England squad. Vardy doesn't play for Leicester, he plays for Pearson. No, he's signed a long contract for a club that pays his salary and enables him to play in the top flight. If Nigel Pearson returned to say Hull, do you imagine Vardy would follow him?
