copunk Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 I'm not talking about supporting another team, but does anyone else follow another team, or feel disappointed when they get beat? Probably gonna get ribbed for this but mine is arsenal, purely for the fact of my dad being a gunner and him trying to coax me into supporting them when I was a kid, always watch them when they are on Tv, always want them to win, obviously not when playing us, anyone else or just me?
ScouseFox Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 i like bristol rovers, arsenal, ronaldo and atletico madrid tbf most my "second teams" depend on players seen as i have no actual loyalty to the team. just like some players like i liked henry so liked arsenal, liked torres so liked wherever he went etc
Webbo Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Arsenal for me as well. We know Leicester will never win the league so you've got to have a team you'd rather win the league.
Voll Blau Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Bochum. Can't imagine ever considering another team in the same division as Leicester. Pure weird.
Fox92 Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Not a second team as such but don't mind Grimsby. Went to an away game there in 2002 (when Izzet scored the overhead kick) and quite liked Grimsby ever since.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 I've a fairly well publicized soft spot for Hibs. Scott Allan I've got a few 'second teams' mainly based on sides I either started great FM saves with or Master Leagues on the old PES; keep a big eye on Hibs and Eastleigh but also vaguely follow Corinthians, Velez Sarsfield and Fiorentina. And I mean vaguely.
Jattdogg Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Toronto FC because they are the closest professional football club to me as i live in the greater toronto area (GTA). Wish i lived back in england so I could see lcfc more often but wife wont budge. Sigh.
AndWhat? Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Bochum are the only team I would describe as my 'second team' I do have about 20 other teams that I check the results of because I like their fan base though.
Stadt Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Nigel Pearson nah leicester are my second team but atm they're first because NPFC isn't doing much atm tbqh imo
Bert Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Always had a soft spot for Man Utd whilst we weren't in the prem and always wanted Rangers to be the boys in Scotland.
Samilktray Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Toronto FC because they are the closest professional football club to me as i live in the greater toronto area (GTA). Wish i lived back in england so I could see lcfc more often but wife wont budge. Sigh. Have you ever met Drake?
Lionator Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Had a thing for Stuttgart and Monaco in their respective countries for God knows what reason.
Jattdogg Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Have you ever met Drake? No have not met drake or the weeknd.
BoyJones Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Boston United. Worked in the town for five years 88-93 and as most of the firms blokes used to go most Saturdays to York street, I went occasionally when not watching the City. Good club with excellent social life.
daventry_fox Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Gonna probably get some stick but I like to see west brom do well as long as it's not at our expense. My dad's a west brom fan tried his hardest to get me down the Hawthorne as a kid, but sided with my grandad and went Leicester. Went to my first game as a 5 years old against west brom we lost 2-1. Ever since then my dad took me to filbert street and has basically become a Leicester fan himself
The Doctor Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 I quite like Cowdenbeath because it's quite a funny name, and I've got family from there; and since the SOs' family are Arsenal fans, I'm contractually obliged to like them.
Finnegan Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Scott Allan I've got a few 'second teams' mainly based on sides I either started great FM saves with or Master Leagues on the old PES; keep a big eye on Hibs and Eastleigh but also vaguely follow Corinthians, Velez Sarsfield and Fiorentina. And I mean vaguely. Always going to happen. Even if he stays this summer he'll go next year.
