Corky Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 Calvin is odd. He famously criticised Vassell after our 1-0 at Coventry under Sven. The article was just really poor form. He criticised Pearson in one of his published books but was full of his praise for him by the end of the season. His report of the 3-2 at West Brom was really supportive of us. Now he's back onto hate mode. I think he's xenophobic for starters. But would you expect anything else from a Millwall fan who was once a Watford fan? It wasn't just Vassell- he went for the lot of us. Vassell, Sven, the fans. One of the most biased pieces I've seen from a supposed neutral but then he had the sympathy card for the scummers who were (and still are) the poor relation to the nasty neighbours. Hopefully this deal will be concluded one way or another in the near future.

Benji Posted 18 August 2015 Posted 18 August 2015 His agent is doing everything he can to flog him about. Schalke pulled out because they wouldn't match the fee we are paying to Napoli. He's got no other choice at the minute as we are the only ones stumping up +€6 million for him. Hence the stalling. This is different than when Cambiasso came to us, Leicester were a Premier League unknown last year and he didn't know what he was coming into. Whereas now we are one of the most in form teams in Europe, currently 2nd in the league and play exciting, attacking football. The bit in bold is something only a fan of the club would say. Southampton were at the top of the league for quite some time last season, I haven't seen a sudden interest in big name players wanting to sign for them. They've successfully lost Clyne and Schneiderlin, though, to clubs who have built actual reputations. Inler, along with any decent name in Europe, will still be saying, who the fk are and where the fk is Leicester? It takes time and good negotiation to show players what this club is about and where we want to be. We have no evidence he is stalling, just rehash after rehash of twitter stories from no marks and gossiping from "sources" that time and again are proven wrong. Simple fact is we have no idea what he thinks or wants at the minute, people are reacting to hearsay.
