Ashley Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 How anybody can be pessimistic about Inler is beyond me. When Matty James comes back and returns to the form he's capable of our squad will be frightening. We all know what Drinkwater's potential is and he's looking good early doors. King looks like a monster too. We could be in a position where we could have any 3 players with an injury or suspension and still have a high quality centre midfield pairing that could compete at the highest level. This is fantastic! It was not many years a go where our first choose pairing was Hughes and Williams, probably the most lightweight and ineffective midfield you're ever likely to see... If we could get a decent high quality wide man to compete with Mahrez and Albrighton I think we could be knocking on the door of Europe. I suppose the only question mark is the defense. Agree
AKCJ Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Struggling to find a flaw in the team after Inler (based on our aspirations/expectations). Probably could do with another winger/CAM type player. After that I think we're done.
Xen Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Can someone tell me where this jennifer groans thing is from? Comedy bantz pr0n title? One of the many awful translations in either this thread or the aranguiz thread

After that I think we're done. With Morre not playing any part in the teamat present and Simpson being told to get a new club, t least on loan, I would think we will be in the market for a new defender. I know we have Was, Huth, Morgan, De Laet, Fuchs and maybe Chillwell, but I think one short. And as you said a extra winger maybe a loan such as Januzaj for example.

After that I think we're done. Another wide man for competition, an improvement at RB, maybe a CB (although we've got benny now) and a better backup keeper would be nice, although someone of enough quality for that is unlikely to be happy on the bench) Apart from the right back though I think we're virtually there. If we can play throughout the season the way we know we're capable of, then top half is a very realistic aim imo
lgfualol Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I'd like a right back replacement for Simpson. Not keen on Benalouane there, think he's be better at CB. Then a winger, someone on loan would suffice.

FoxinNotts Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 IF we get Inler, I think we have enough. But, as we now seemingly have more money than sense, a top quality young powerful right back (Byram ?) and an attacking midfielder to contest with Mahrez. I think Mahrez is a little weak for this role away from home.
Babylon Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Knockaert Need someone with pace, looking at the bench on Saturday there was zero pace on there.
80footgiraffe Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Flying in to EMA today from Edinburgh, I'll have a look when I arrive

FantasticMrFuchs Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Knockaert following him at standard liege - 5app, 2goals, 2 assist

berniethebolt Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Imagine coming from 30o. In sunny Napkes to raining in Leicester!! That in itself will take some adjusting to. Naples (although beautiful in places) is dingy, dirty and seen as one of the worst cities in Italy. The capital of the Italian criminal underworld and can be a very dangerous place to live! ....... Leicester will seem like a quite quaint little town to him.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Just seen this Instagram post from Napoli fans with Golhan Inler i think they are saying goodbye https://instagram.com/p/6V5E2AS2Py/

Agree - I felt the same undercurrent as Palermo in Sicily, particularly when you venture away from the tourist oriented areas. Added to which, it is virtually on the flanks of one of the most dangerous volcanoes on the planet.

EarlBeaumont Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 2 European swallows just dropped a coconut next to me, inside is a tweet saying Inler's signed for LCFC. Impossible, you liar. The weight ratio makes it impossible. An African swallow could have done it though.
