Fantastic news. Mahrez was superb last season and I can only see him getting better and better each campaign he has with us. I believe he will be key again in this upcoming season.

We'll sell him in January for 6m.

4 year deal and you think he'll go for only £6m?

Given current market, his value today went up to £15m. Minimum.

Just echo other posters, best move of the closed season, especially other additions have been made.

Cream on the cake..

Very underrated player, come on in leaps and bounds, even say thanks to NP, dropping him when he tired or slacked.

If city do well...dare I say it ?? could well match and deliver the legend K.Wellers memories.

This is great news for the club, they have done well to keep him here as he is quite easily the best techincal player we have at the club, glides past players and is learning every game, has good acceleration and a good shot, he leaves players in a daze and has learnt when to release the ball now.

Nice to see he has shown faith in the club after the club showed faith in him.

Love it when he runs at defenders. Exciting stuff. So pleased he's signed.

His dribbling obviously stands out but some of his diagonal through balls when he cuts inside are sublime. He more than held his own away to Arsenal and Liverpool in particular, wouldn't be surprised if there have been bids for him. I had been bigging him up last summer to non City fans ("look out for Mahrez and Drinkwater" I would reply when asked who our best players were.) The second half of the season he came good, considering we don't play wingers at the moment he did well to adapt as a number 10 and make such an impression.

Arsenal away I genuinely thought he was the best player on the pitch. I'd be shocked if after that game Wenger didn't have him watched more closely.

Great news for Leicester. Seems a down to earth chap who wants to improve.

Great news for the club, I'm sure he's on a better contract that will reward him the more he does for the club.  Also this means we won't lose out if the big clubs come knocking.

I agree with all the previous posters/thoughts .... Excellent signing for both player and club, great playing ability as well as providing a higher degree of stability is what we need to be competitive in the EPL, let's just hope we can build on the 'resurgent' confidence we had at the finish of last season (still buzzing from not just staying up, but the style of 'doing for themselves') ...

C'mon City ... do us proud ...

Bloody hell he looks ecstatic  lol

Seems like he was on his way to take a dump when this guy jumped in front of him with a microphone and camera.

Looks like the bloke woke him up 15 minutes into his afternoon nap
