Master Fox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Thought the first half was excellent. They looked more comfortable on the ball with the same danger going forward - and were actually effective in the taking of chances. Second half was a bit of a disappointment. How on earth we scored less than them in the second half I will never know. Poor goals to concede, soft. Thought Mahrez was outrageously good, if not a little greedy in the second half. Drinkwater & Okazaki had great games too. Drinky back to his best. Looked good all game.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Kasper made a class save in the first few minutes. Without him we could've been 2 down in the first 5mins. I was more on about second half tbh.
TrentFox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 So much to be encouraged about. Absolutely delighted for everyone, but especially CR. I genuinely feel this was an important result for him. £18m of strikers on the bench and not looking like getting a game anytime soon. I feel giddy !!!!
Spicer Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 On the whole a very good performance. Although we let in two soft goals. We need to be better defensively.
EnglishOxide Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 I have always rated Ranieri, who wont make an idiot of himself in public, as did Pearson. If you choose to think of me as being "strange", then that is fine by me. Enjoy your season. Media wise, Ranieri is a foreign Ian Holloway. I'm only interested in the performances and results his team delivers.

Mark_w Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 What I would give to have seen Col's face when Cattermole got subbed off.
surrifox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 What I would give to have seen Col's face when Cattermole got subbed off. they've just given him a new FIVE year contract
Wymsey Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 A very good performance. Played with flair. One weak point was that we struggled with our left side defensively, and Schmeichel knows he should've done better with their goals.
EnglishOxide Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 what a disgusting thing to say What part do you disagree with champ?
pazzerfox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Get Austin in.. Think we'll raise our bid next week! He did say that he wanted to play for one of the top teams....It doesn't get any higher!!
Vince Vega Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Just goes to show, you can change your manager and lose your player of the season but the fans remain the same. It made me wonder where the summer went, because we all started this game where we left off in may. Brilliant atmosphere again!
kingfox Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 For 60 minutes it was quite possibly one of the best attacking displays I've seen from ourselves. Albrighton, Mahrez, Vardy & Okazaki were absolute class, Sunderland just couldn't handle them, Vardy running them ragged down the channels, Okazaki an absolute workhorse all over the pitch, Mahrez just took the piss out of them at times, while Albrighton worked his socks off & his deliveries were top notch. Honorable mention to Drinkwater as well who had a solid game. Defensively we left too much space at times, for 60 minutes though we were rarely troubled. After that mistakes & tiredness started to creep in, really shouldn't of conceded the second quite poor goalkeeping from Kasper. Think Ranieri made the right decision though by bringing on Benalouane & Fuchs, Kante shored up the midfield & looked decent going forward. Fantastic start, very dangerous going forward & we didn't even bring on Ulloa & Kramaric
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Superb way to start the season. Mahrez was phenomenal and my man of the match. Impressed with Kante, Fuchs and Benalouane when they came on. We continued the way we played at the end of last season with fast pacey attacking football.
Thracian Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Before the sloppy ending we could have scored eight or nine times from excellent chances. Some were made from sheer determination but others from the most sublime football I've seen from Leicester in years. One particular move from defence through to the final shot on goal by Mayrez would surely have been an early contender for goal of the season. But there were so many memorable moments and perhaps 45 minutes across the two halves of absolutely exhilarating play. It was a team effort in capital letters but Mayrez, Vardy, Okazaki, Drinkwater and Albrighton were individually exceptional. It was thrilling to see and doubly pleasing to see our newcomers get their first chance of first team minutes. Any further potential signings should perhaps note that we're top of the Premiership! Happy days.
Ashley Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 What I liked about of 352 is that it was easily changed to a 442 when we needed it. TIKERMAN
The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 What part do you disagree with champ? foreign ian holloway is something nobody should be called
EnglishOxide Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 foreign ian holloway is something nobody should be called Holloway likes a silly quote to give to the media. Ranieri likes a silly quote to the media. I'm not criticising anybody, so chill your tits.

Happy days. This. Also looks like we have picked up the gift MON team had of catching the opposition on a bad day. Amazing how many put this down to them being so poor and not us being a decent team.
city187 Posted 8 August 2015 Posted 8 August 2015 Okazaki makes vardy look lazy. He dont stop running. Better then i thought he would be. Most energetic front two ive ever seen at city
