Molly Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Sounds like chap to me. One of my mates was there that night and said how the players was all talking to fans for most of the evening. They wasn't drunk. The video clearly was edited in a way to make it worse. The casino should release the other footage from different cameras to show exactly what was happening and the supposed victim. yeah.
Fox92 Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Think the Sun are trying to make something out of very little, drunk men at casino full of testosterone, having never been to a casino imagine there is imagine there is a fair bit of aggression going about, often used to call someone a Japanese bitch and never thought of it as offensive. I go quite often and I've often seen things get "heated". I imagine more so in this case though because footballers will be gambling more money than the usual people.
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 You conveniently left out Chinky[/size] ˈtʃɪŋki/ informaloffensive Because I was just showing the definition. Don't try and twist things to suit your argument. I have clearly stated multiple times it could be seen as racist or offensive depending on it's usage and the context, as could a lot of words. Boils down to the intent behind using it. I'm really not going through it again for your benefit.I think the point is, whether vardys actions are deemed racist or not, why do high profile players keep putting themselves in these positions? Vardy is still acting like a tool in that video and he really should no better.
Mark_w Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 I hope that you are not a hypocrite after this attack and are as loud about sexism as you are about "xenophobism" but somehow I doubt that. Based on what? The fact that I'm male? Because I don't think I've posted anything sexist on here, in fact I've generally been critical of all discrimination. You'll also see that I'm not a huge contributor to the Tinder thread. Making judgements about people based solely on their gender is extremely offensive, you should be ashamed.
Guest Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 This is just bollocks tbh. Ridiculous storm in a teacup bollocks.
SlaneyLCFC Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Someone in wanting a quick buck selling a non story giving the PC brigade something to drivel about shocker!!!

Mark_w Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Are you really extremely offended? Get a grip. No I'm not, I'm highlighting the hypocrisy.

Making judgements about people based solely on their gender is extremely offensive, you should be ashamed. But have you actually attacked sexist posts the way you just attacked me? If you had then I think you'd have closed the TINDER thread down. Did you just see what General Smuts wrote on there after I said some of the people posting in it should be ashamed? IMO Jamie should apologise for his aggressive outburst and move on. The tinder thread should be expelled from the Foxestalk board.

TonyN11 Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 As Vardy is an England International then I think Roy Hodgson should get involved. He should have the England captaincy taken away but then play every minute of every game for his club this season.
Swarles Barkley Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Spilled coffee on my laptop today and accidentally wrote an article for the sun
Mark_w Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 But have you actually attacked sexist posts the way you just attacked me? When I see them, yes. Why have you assumed I don't? I don't go in the Tinder thread, it doesn't interest me at all, threads about our footballers do. We're getting a bit side tracked here and I'm not really interested in discussing it further, but it'd be nice if you didn't assume all men are sexists.

For what it's worth, I agree about the context issue, but it's sheer ignorance of people that's amazing. "Chink" is racist. Do people need a Chinese person to come on and explain why?
TOMBlcfc Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Obviously is bad if true but the video and the article do seem very manipulated
Soar Fox Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Nice of his girlfriend just sitting there laughing whilst it was all going on. Footballers & there partners really are quite stupid, he's out in public behaving aggressively and all she does is sit there laughing.
urban.spaceman Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 As far as I'm concerned the audio quality is so poor it can't be conclusively proven that he said Jap and not Chap/Jack/Chav etc - all equally conceivable given the colloquial terms used by Northerners & given the fact that we don't actually see the person it's directed at, nor what actually led to this incident in the first place, this really is a storm in a tea cup. Of course, The Sun have helpfully provided subtitles to influence what you hear (similar to The Mirror's Clarkson N word fiasco.... Where he never actually said it), which display some staggering hypocrisy when you google "the sun.co.uk Jap". This is just a desperate attempt to unsettle and smear our club and our player on the most tenuous of evidence.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 The Sun are forever calling British people Brits - Racist paper and WILL never buy it again
Austin Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 He has to realise that he's an extremely priveledged human being representing a football club virtually every minute he's at the club and that sort of behaviour is unacceptable. I have no problems with Vardy, but he can't be acting aggressive like that and potentially using what a majority would deem a racist term. I'd like to know the full story which is unlikely as it's came from the sun. Not sure how the club will deal with this, I just hope it's sorted internally and quickly and doesn't derail what is early promising signs. Incredibly frustrating that it seems this happened a week or so a go and they've purposely waited to bring it to light a day into the season.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 The Sun are forever calling British people Brits - Racist paper and WILL never buy it again They are the worst for it
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Whether people want to clutch at straws with what he actually said, the way he behaved is unacceptable
foxtillidrop Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 What good has that casino done for the people and city of Leicester?! Now they release a video just to f**ck over the name of the football club as well...storm in a tea cup sums it up...Vardy shouldn't be addressing the guy with that word in an aggressive manner though - I would have been offended
urban.spaceman Posted 9 August 2015 Posted 9 August 2015 Whether people want to clutch at straws with what he actually said, the way he behaved is unacceptable True, but the video is edited in such a way that we don't know if he'd been provoked or not.
