Jobyfox Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 Kasper De laet Morgan Huth Fuchs Kante Drinky Dyer Mahrez Schlupp Vardy That's a great side and utilising people in their best positions. I think it's the best we have unless we're going to go with the 3-5-2. If we did, by some miracle, switch to 3-5-2 I'd go with the back 3 and wing backs from last season's end, kante and drink in the middle and Mahrez behind Vardy and Ulloa. I think this latter formation would be strong for an away game.
Carl the Llama Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 Â Hi All, here is my Preview of the Stoke game! Please check it out and subscribe if you enjoy! Just a fan who loves the club. I like the stats around the screen, nice touch that. Â You should try and get other people involved in your videos though, they go on for a decent amount of time and go into great depth which are both good things, but 10-15 minutes of the same voice makes hard listening, Â A bit of back and forth would make it easier to maintain interest.
Gerard Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 Not picking Mahrez would be madness.  We have to have an attacking threat as well and who better to pick than the statistically best player in Europe this season?
FoxinNotts Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 Kasper De laet Morgan Huth Fuchs Kante Drinky Dyer Mahrez Schlupp Vardy Someone send this to Claudio, via social media, or whatever. Let's get the seed planted in his head. It simply has to be this side, IMO
BoyJones Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 Mahrez was rubbish last season at Stoke. Never came out for the second half, hope he shows the Stoke fans how good he is tomorrow. The team this year will be far stronger, no Konch, Hammond, Hamer or Moore for instance, but will still be a difficult game and I hope the law of averages doesn't come into play. We are undefeated, they haven't won. If we play 442, I can't see us keeping a clean sheet, so no pizzas this weekend, but I expect us to score a couple. Nice to have 14 points before we play the Arsenal, but even 12 would be a great effort at averaging two points a game.
Riot Van Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/248289/axel-witsel  These guys genuinely think they can sign Witsel...

Great Boos Up Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015    Not starting Mahrez may not be as insane as you think. Stoke have just spent the week planning to negate the current hottest player in the Prem. Hughes may even employ the first five minutes hard tactics to hurt him before the yellows come out. He needs space to receive and turn and run which they have no doubt planned not to give him. No Mahrez starting and half their game plan has gone before a ball is kicked. Play predictably and we will probably lose. Pace and surprise is our strength. So we can surprise them and out pace them. He can always come on.   It's not what I would do, I just believe that Leicester can win without him.
Thracian Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 How do you have time to write such long posts Thrac? I honestly think most people dont both reading past 1 paragraph. No matter how much justification you try and give it with your long paragraphs, dropping Mahrez and Drinkwater would potentially be the most stupid thing anyone could ever do, Stoke away or not. Â Â Â Fifty years hard graft have earned me an easier working week. And it was mentioned a week or two back that I don't post enough. So there you are....a bloke can't win! Â There's always the "block" button I think. Â And there you are still using the word "dropping" when it's not really that at all in either case - just picking a starting team to cope best with Stoke's anticipated early pressure so they've still got some energy to influence the result positively should the chance arise later. Â We started Inler against Villa and were 2-0 down in an hour or so and Mahrez was playing all but on his own and not very well til the break. Â If you're happy with that fair enough given the eventual result. But I'm not and don't think we'll find Hughes will chuck away a two-goal start. We need to play as a single unit and to offer support from every position. Â Â Â Â Â
ScouseFox Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 pretty much unanimous stoke win from the pundits predictions. even merse and lawro going against us    also pretty funny if you read lawro's little blurb about our game. he says he couldn't have predicted us to do so well or stoke to do so badly. then you scroll to the bottom of the page and it has the "if lawro's predictions were right" table, where he has literally predicted us to do really well and stoke to do really badly. .Â
KFS Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 Playing tonight at Twickenham won't do Stoke any good. Oh sorry, they're the new Barcelona aren't they.

Webbo Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 Going tomorrow, really looking forward to it.
Izzy Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 What does 'literally' mean? I've noticed you like to pick on ones use of language occasionally Mr High Peak Fox. You called me out on the use of the word 'conspiracy' a while back. Just wondered, are you an English teacher by any chance?
billyn88 Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 All cold logic points to a good result for us tomorrow. I just have a horrible gut feeling that Stoke are due a result and our good run has to end somewhere. Also I'm going which reduces our chances further..
fatboytim Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 What does 'literally' mean? It literally means figuratively speaking.
Max Power Posted 18 September 2015 Posted 18 September 2015 A scrappy zero-zero on the cards I reckon. Â Pizza for the lads and the unbeaten run goes on.
Littletoe Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 2-1 Leicester Win. Leicester double chance on bet365 at 8/13 seems a good banker tbh.
Albert Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 Can't see what that has to do with the Stoke game at all but it's quite ironic that Mahrez's impact (after a poorish 45 minutes) actually happened in the second half when we had a much greater focus on attack. Perhaps you'd stick your head above the parapet - for once - and actually say what you might do Babs. Don't worry. I won't hold my breath! You obviously have good knowledge of the game Thrac and I honestly like reading your thoughts but you've completely over thought this one. Mahrez impact was because he had a free role for the second half, roaming around the final third and getting on the ball as often as possible. Surely ur winding us up suggesting to drop him and Drinkwater (who has even more of an influence over the team as a whole)? It's madness! We're on a great run with a fearless attitude and full of confidence so why change it to nullify them? Let them worry about us! I fully expect us to get at them from the off to get an early goal. If it happens their crowd will turn on them, they'll be under pressure and if we're clever we'll be hitting them on the counter all afternoon. Fancy us tomorrow 1-3 Leicester
benpicko Posted 19 September 2015 Posted 19 September 2015 1-0 win and Ranieri rolls out with the pizza boxes at the end
