Bryn Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Schmeichel De Laet Huth Morgan Fuchs Drinkwater Kante Dyer Mahrez Schlypp Vardy
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Reckon we will stick with a back four, concede 2 or 3 and end up losing. If we have any chance of a result here then an improvement in our defending is a must. To me, the best way of doing that is with 3 CB's and looking to hurt Stoke on the counter. I just think Claudio won't want to fix what is not broken and that will be our downfall.
kingfox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Split on two formations a 3-5-2 or a 4-4-2 Schmeichel De Laet - Huth - Morgan - Schlupp Albrighton - Kante - Drinkwater - Mahrez Ulloa - Vardy or Schmeichel De Laet - Huth - Morgan Albrighton - Kante - Inler - Drinkwater - Schlupp Mahrez Vardy
lgfualol Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 And so... the nonsensical Kramaric love in continues. I love him as much as the next guy but it is getting slightly annoying now. Especially some Croatians on facebook, twitter that are getting really pissed off he isn't being played. It's not like he scored 10 goals and then got unfairly dropped.
Sunbury Fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Heart wants: Kasper Was - Wes - Huth Albrighton - Kanté - Drinkwater - Schlupp Mahrez Vardy - Ulloa Head reckons: Kasper De Laet - Wes - Huth - Schlupp Drinkwater - Kanté Albrighton - Mahrez - Dyer Vardy And yes it was very tricky deciding Dyer was going to be the player sacrificed for the 3-5-2, keep him for his versatility off the bench though cause he can fill in on either side I believe. Agree with this 100%.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I can't decide if this is a good time to play Stoke or not. On one hand they are in dreadful form and are yet to win, but on the other hand they will be desperate to get that first win and they will see Leicester at home as a good chance to get it. I'm sure we will be in for a tough game. We have started slowly in our last two games, so I hope we can improve on this. A half time lead is always handy! We must stick to our counter attacking principles and hit them with the pace we have. That said, I would start Ulloa over Okazaki for a bit of a physical presence. He's a proven goalscorer and looked good when he came on yesterday. Also, there is not a chance that Kante can be left on the bench, he looks absolutely unreal. What a signing. I thought Albrighton has been quiet in his last 2 games so I would bring Dyer in for him. This would be my team: .......................Kasper................... De Laet....... Huth ....Morgan. ...... Schlupp Mahrez......Drinkwater........Kante.........Dyer ................Ulloa..........Vardy.............. I think we can sneak this one 2-1. Ulloa and Vardy with the goals.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I'm so ****ing glad you don't pick the team. Oh dear. Every so often you chuck in a pointless one. And there it is.
justfoxes Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Hard match but a win for us 1-2 !! Vardy 2
LCFC FOX Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Kasper De Laet Morgan Huth Schlupp Albrighton Kante Drinkwater Mahrez Ulloa Vardy Bring dyer on in the 60th minute again for his PACE
David Hankey Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I'd be happy with a 1-0 win like last season. On current form there is no reason why we shouldn't do it.
EnglishOxide Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I love him as much as the next guy but it is getting slightly annoying now. Especially some Croatians on facebook, twitter that are getting really pissed off he isn't being played. It's not like he scored 10 goals and then got unfairly dropped. What's annoying about it? Surely the fact that some of us are eager to see our 4th choice striker play speaks volumes for our quality. Just because we want him on the pitch it doesn't mean we don't want the other strikers or are particularly unsatisfied with them, its just personal opinion!
suffolk fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Let's look at this marvellous Stoke side that everyone seems to be bigging up? They lost to a poor Liverpool side at home 1 0. They drew away to Spurs 2 2 quite a good result as they were 2 0 down. They lost at home to West Brom who they themselves aren't great 1 0 and they had two men deservedly sent off. They drew away at newly promoted Norwich 1 1. Norwich battered them and if it wasn't for Butland they would have been beaten heavily. They lost 2 0 at Arsenal and again if Butland wasn't in great form it would have been five or six? I can't see anything to fear here? Play as we have been with pace, no fear and attacking intent we will win comfortably. We will win this 2 1.
fuchsntf Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 worth a look.... http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/248150/leicester-3-2-villa-ft?page=4 scared to death to play us Interesting, that they think they can quieten Mahrez and win the game.Hope all managers in the PL believe the same. Would like to put for this game, Okazaki on the bench, and because it is an away game, across the middle, would like to see....both Inler and Kante , then DD start together. Then Vardy and a choice from Krameric or Ulloa.A flexable Mahrez in the hole, but taking up wing positions occasionally. We need Inler to get game time, I dont see it as negative as some, he has class, and movement will improve, when he gets to know the front players. Dyer,I would at the moment keep on the bench as an impact player. Lets be fair Stoke away is another step up, forget their present lack of points, and their own fans remarks over Hughes they have a fair team, that we will be competing against, for an EOS for top 8 position. Ive seen the Villa game 6 or 7 times now, I still say our 1st half wasnt poor, but Villa did at 1st negate our attack initiative by playing deep and then play some quick 1-2s along the lines.
LCCFox96 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Playing Ulloa at Stoke is surely a good idea. Looked decent at Bury, looked decent yesterday, we know he'll take a chance or two that come his way and he will go a long way to countering their very physical backline.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Going to be a very tough game Can see some changes from Tinkerbell Up the Foxes!!!!
ARM1968 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Stoke are always tough and have been pretty unlucky so far. Hughes had them playing well last year but I think too many new players brought in. If they gel at all it will be mid season. That being said its a hard ground to get a result. I'd happily take a point. A win would be frankly unbelievable but it is possible. They will want to win and have to attack. Could easily play into our hands.
Livid Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Dare I suggest the team that finished yesterday is the one that starts. They have had a few tough games to start so will be looking at this as an opportunity for that first win. Never an easy game against them.
Aus Fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Schmeichel De Laet Huth Morgan Schlupp Drinkwater Kante Albrighton Mahrez Dyer Vardy Schwarzer, Kramaric, Ulloa, Was, King, Inler, Okazaki This, but I think he will start Inler over Drinkwater and Fuchs will be on the bench ahead of Kramaric.
sdb Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 You would drop drinky after that performance We need to hit these on the counter and hit them hard. Kasper De Laet Huth Morgan Schluup Kante Drinkwater Albrighton Mahrez Dyer Vardy That front 4 is blistering pace. Kante to break up play and we can hit them quickly that's the team to start with for me - loads of pace against their relatively slow defence, with a solid central midfield. If the wingers can do their job going backwards then we've a chance.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Inler is not Cambiasso standard. Inler is a talented midfielder who may take a bit more time to adapt to the style of premier league than Cambiasso did. However, once he does Im pretty sure most who have written him off will be eating there words. With our style playing both Inler and Drinky may not work as there thinking is pretty similar. Either of them with Kante and later on James will be a better partnership for our style. I'm just glad we have this problem!
Fox42 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Don't understand the Inler slating nonsense. We bought in 2 central midfielders, one is on form and the other isn't but showing glimpses of what he's worth as probably predicted by most. Does it matter which way round it is? As long as it pays off in not concerned, in the meantime.
Mad Dog Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Has to be Kasper / De Laet, Huth, Morgs, Schlupp / Kante, Drinks / Albrighton, Mahrez, Dyer / Vardy. Only change there could be Shinji up top for Dyer, with Mahrez out wide, but I hope not. What a squad we've quietly assembled. Capable of playing any formation you could name. Pace all over the place. Four quality strikers. Two international captains who can't make the team. Amazing.
MPH Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Could be our first defeat... Need to start with 5-3-2 Would be a crime to not start Kante.
benpicko Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 This, but I think he will start Inler over Drinkwater and Fuchs will be on the bench ahead of Kramaric. Not sure why people are saying this? He's started Inler once and taken him off just after half time because he was pretty awful. Drinkwater on the other hand has started every match and played nearly every minute. Think Ranieri clearly rates him and doubt he'll be dropped any time soon.
