Clever Fox Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Never an easy fixture but we need to continue to impose our game on them with pace and aggression. I'm sure they will try to intimidate us but we will have to be ready for that. Kante has to start as he's proved himself a better fit to our style than Inler. He;s busy and get's around the park well. I think that might be the only change he'll make unless Dyer or Ulloa for Shingy.
Dickov22 Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 People suggesting Vardy sub after how he's started this season
Steve Earle Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Kante and 10 others in a fluid 4-1-4-1/4-3-3 to play on the counter. Not many will agree with me but I'd start Inler and wouldn't start Dyer: Schmeichel De Laet Huth Morgan Schlupp Inler Mahrez Drinwater Kante Albrighton Vardy Subs: Schwarzer, Benalouane, Fuchs, King, Dyer, Ulloa, Okazaki I'd take a point now but anything's possible. Despite their start I'm pretty sure they'll finish above us...
Oxfordfox83 Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Schmeichel De Laet Huth Morgan Schlupp Drinkwater Kante Albrighton Mahrez Dyer Vardy Schwarzer, Kramaric, Ulloa, Was, King, Inler, Okazaki That's an absurdly good team. Must make sure we support Vardy, but otherwise that has it all. Sensational...
Juvenile Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Schmeichel De Laet Huth Morgan Schlupp Drinkwater Kante Albrighton Mahrez Dyer Vardy Schwarzer, Kramaric, Ulloa, Was, King, Inler, Okazaki Dyer and Kante need to start, only change From that would possibly be Fuchs in for Albrighton and move Jeff up. Not seen much of Fuchs so would be a gamble but I still get twitchy seeing Jeff in a back four sometimes!
Guest ttfn Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Dyer and Kante need to start, only change From that would possibly be Fuchs in for Albrighton and move Jeff up. Not seen much of Fuchs so would be a gamble but I still get twitchy seeing Jeff in a back four sometimes!I'd quite like to see this too. We're going to cede possession even more than usual to a patient, ball-playing Stoke side and I'd favour Schlupp's pace and directness on the wing ahead of Albrighton's industry and crossing.
filbertway Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 We're going to need to have about 15 shots to score a goal in this game as well, Butland is on absurd form this season.
justfoxes Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Not a big fan of this Referee but looks like he's in the middle for our game against Stoke. Andre Mariner one very controversial referee !! http://mobile.stokecityfc.com//news/article/marriner-in-charge-for-foxes-clash-2689063.aspx
Countryfox Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Looking at our positions in the league it looks like an easy one ! .... But this will be a bit of a yardstick game for me. Stoke are a good team and have been unlucky ... It will be a tough one. Team selection will be very interesting and show us a little more of how CR is thinking. Kante is a must.
AKCJ Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 I'd hate to play us at the minute. Can't get over how good we looked when we were running at Villa's defence. Genuinely brilliant football.
Captain... Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 We're going to need to have about 15 shots to score a goal in this game as well, Butland is on absurd form this season. Good point Butland has been outstanding, but then he has had lots of shots to face. considering they are right down there, they have only conceded 7, the same as us, their problem has been scoring. Only 3 goals with their attacking talents is pretty disappointing. The stats really don't look great for Stoke 85 shots against, from which they have conceded 7 (a lot of credit to Butland there) They have only had 49 shots and scored 3 which is pretty poor when they have players like Bojan, Afellay, Arnautovic, Shakiri. Sod's law is that they will turn it on and smash us, it is typical for us to give a struggling team their first win, wasn't it about this time last year when we gifted Burnley their first goals in ages and then kick started Newcastle's season with their first win.
RowlattsFox Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Despite how confident we are feeling at the minute there is still something about Stoke away that screams disappointing defeat. The defence is a worry. Need to start keeping clean sheets, the goals may dry up and when they do we need to ensure we're still picking up points. We 'could' have lost all 3 of the last games and we'd be looking very different. It doesn't look like Ranieri fancies 3 at the back so away from home we need to protect the weak link which is our full backs defensively. Can see either a 3 man midfield again or maybe Kante in right sided position. stoke are a better team than their position suggests and they'll fancy this one.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 I'd definitely play Ulloa, we need that physical presence against Stoke.
AKCJ Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 I'd definitely play Ulloa, we need that physical presence against Stoke. It's like people still think they have Huth and Shawcross as their first choice centre back partnership.
Babylon Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 I'd definitely play Ulloa, we need that physical presence against Stoke. Why do we need a physical presence. Surely sticking a lump up front plays exactly into their hands? Play your fast tricky players that they don't like playing against, quick ball into space for runners to try and split them.
Dynamogoon Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Il second that, gonna be a tough game, need pace against em. And the usual awesome away support I just hope they dont click as a team just yet, they'l start picking up points soon. They've got some excellent players

justfoxes Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 He is an arseh0le; along with Mike Dean.I take it you're a fan of them both??
Gerard Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Could be our first defeat... Need to start with 5-3-2 Would be a crime to not start Kante. The three centre backs and two wing backs formation needs to stop. It's obvious now that Ranieri just isn't a fan. To be fair we're unbeaten with a flat back four and of the most successful teams in the world virtually all of them play four at the back.
Dan Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 This is not easy. 18th v 2nd makes it look a lot different to what it really is. They've been unlucky to not score or pick up a point at home yet, whilst not looking too shabby away. Part of me thinks I'd take a point but another point makes me think that's the mentality of the unambitious.
ARM1968 Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Agree with this. It's not easy. As I've said Stoke have been unlucky and a team plus of new players to bed in - not easy in itself. They will be up for this and Hughes will consider us the kind of team Stoke should be beating. Seems from the forums that their fans are worried about us and we're worried about them. A level of mutual respect which is nice. Like I said I'd take a point, but with our confidence, Marehz on fire and then full of new faces we could sneak another win. Sooner we get to 40pts the better.
lestajigs Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Can see us losing this im afraid, 2.1 home win
