The Mrs telling me I spend too much time on Foxestalk Thread

Recommended Posts

Guys,

last night the wife had a dig at me that I spend too much time on this forum and I ignore her and the kids.

She mentioned stuff like  'you get up first thing in the morning, and the first thing you do is go on foxestalk....blah, blah, blah'

I was just wondering whether other people get grief, etc etc

Maybe if she stopped moaning, you might want to spend more time with here

I only come on here during the day to pass a bit of time at work anyway, when the work day is done, I'll be at football, or with the missus or down the pub usually.

Exactly this.if I get in a mard she says" withdrawal symptoms for not talking to your Foxestalk mates?" I usually say something about her watching shite on TV.To be honest she isn't too bad but I get that every now and then, the bit that irks her is if I make her a cup of tea and while its brewing I startreading something and stew her tea.you lot have a lot to answer for.

I'll be sat on the sofa on my phone and she'll say "What are you reading about?"

me: "Football and that"

her: "...FoxesTalk?"

me: "Yeah."

her: "Why don't you do something productive? The guttering needs sorting out blah blah blah"

This is while she's watching Neighbours or some other shit which is not exactly productive

I've had a few comments about my "internet friends", and quizzical looks as I'm furiously composing a cutting response to someone daring to question my latest well crafted post.

What she doesn't understand is that in the 6 years since I signed up, I have lived in 2 different countries, 6 different cities, 9 different houses, had 4 girlfriends, 6 different jobs, just about to start number 7 (the reason why I'm posting more at the moment, just seeing out my notice).

One of the few constants in my life has been this forum, despite sabbaticals, reducing the amount of time I spend on here, a few flounces and being proclaimed dead, I just can't quite quit, I would miss the likes of Babylon and DavieG on the main forum and MattP and Ken on the General chat, even though I have got into arguments with all of them at one point.

I do try not to come on here too much when I'm with my missus though, as I get annoyed when she is focussing on her phone (facebook/Candy Crush) when she's with me, but sometimes you have just got to put your priorities in order ;)

The use of the word 'Foxestalk' is banned in this house.  Not so much banned but if I ever mention it I get the rolled eyes.

I will always regret mentioning the Tinder thread.  She asked what I was laughing at, so I told her. Got the usual "if you like it so much, why don't you f**k off then!"

I am only ever on this forum during work hours so the wife has never moaned at me. My problem is Clash of Clans. I spend wayyyy too much time on that game when im at home. She is forever glued to facebook but nooooo its always my fault.

'I wouldnt be on facebook if you werent on clash of clans'

You all know the argument. When it works both ways but its never their fault. I have intentionally taken myself out of the main part of clash so im not on it at home and guess what....

She is still on Facebook.

Husband 1

Wife a big fat 0

I WIN :trumpet:

Really, because the way I see it, you gave up something you enjoyed and she didn't, think you lost that one.

(But stay the fvck away from those types of games, lost pretty much a year of my life playing travian, absolute time vampire)

Ive not gave up on it. Just dont play the main part when at home which has made me actually enjoy the game more. Ive been on it over 2 years now and agree it really is a time vampire.

I have definately won that argument.

Tbf i was glued to my phone when ive got 2 kids i should be spending my time with so i only play clash whilst at work.

haha i spend my working time on foxestalk and clash of clans and get paid for it. Life is good

I wake, up check twitter, fb and ft.

then spend most of the day repeating that.

she'd moan, but she is normally involved in some what's app chat or whatever, what world do we live in!!!

Excellent,I posted the other week when I laughed about something Una put in the " Tinder Thread" and had a few minutes explaining that it wasn't me on Tinder.

My girlfriend actually set up an account so she could spy on my posts or just generally 'troll' me. Broke it to me a few weeks ago.

It's a better / funnier / more effective way of getting me off here than moaning anyway!

Haha, really? What was her account name?
