Probably the greatest atmosphere I ever experienced at Filbert Street. Stood in the popular side as couldn't get in the Kop. Man city had drawn at home in the third round and won the replay away 7-0. Bury I think. I can still see their fans in the away corner of the double decker singing like the game was over. What a 20 minutes before and after half time. The first time I was ever in tears at the final whistle! (next time was 1994 Wembley) The emotion in the crowd that 1968 night was unbelievable. Standing, crammed in, almost touching the players, unfortunately never happen again with seated stadia.

Keith Weller's hat trick against Liverpool in was brilliant, but I personally think cup fight backs are extra special, particularly if you were brought up in an era supporting a team who for 10 years averaged getting to the sixth round at least.

You've decribed the atmosphere perfectly. I think my feet were off the floor for most

of that game!

Why isn't Frank Large a cult hero at City?

The 1995 comeback at Villa Park was remarkable in that we scored 3 goals in the last 13 minutes, after being 4-1 down.

I voted for this - just to be different. I think it's because I happened to be in the Villa end at this game and had to be escorted out at the end for my own safety lol

If you've got 2.25 mins of your life spare, have a watch of this below. The caption says it was Saturday Feb 22nd 1995 which confused me - it was definitely a mid week game!

My favourite "live" comeback-City vs Man. City in the 4th round FA Cup replay, 1968.

2-0 down after about 10 minutes, Fern gets one back just before half-time. Two goals from Frank Large and another from Nish to make it 4-2. Colin Bell got one back for them to make it 4-3.

We hung on like grim death to beat the champions of that season.

42, 000 and a great atmosphere at FB. If you were there you'd never forget it.

Swindon in the play off final was the BIGGEST roller - coaster of a game I've ever been to.

Tears were cried of joy...then sorrow.

Still grates now...

The poll is therefore duff..

When I think of great City comebacks this is probably the first game I think of.

Although we lost those ten minutes were unforgettable and the noise when Thommo slotted home the equaliser was immense.

I've just clicked on 'view' to see who's voted for which game (didn't know you could do that) and noticed ScouseFox has voted for every single one! lol

Surely you can only vote on one game or it's not a true poll!!!

I was ecstatic about our 5-3 win over Bolton in the 13/14 season. 2-1 down then 2-2 then behind again almost immediately, Konchesky shot goes in off Mills to level it up at half time. We miss a penalty, Bolton counterattack, then Dyer scores of the counter-counterattack and we're ahead.

Not one big turnaround like Villa or United were but a sustained, determined effort to get back into the game.

Fantastic game that

I think, as in a lot of these polls, it is age related and what you remember first time around. The Man. Utd 5-3 last season was obviously incredible but they weren't that great opposition on the day really, despite fielding overrated big earners at the time (Falcao, Di Maria....). Arsenal on the other hand were more that in 1997 at Filbert Street and Bergkamp's otherwise text book legendary hat-trick was cancelled out at the death by our grit and determination attitude that was demonstrated all throughout the time whilst under O'Neill's guidance with Walsh's headed equaliser in minute 95 or something!- hence why I voted for that 3-3 draw. You had to be there syndrome!!

Yep, there is just something about that match, maybe it was because I was still young, or the fact it was at wembley, the way steve thompson just rolled that ball into the corner.

In terms of games we got something out of, the drama of the arsenal game, 3-3 was special, again maybe with it being under the lights etc and having fond memories of Filbert St.

In the context of things tho, last season at west brom, was still the best for sheer carnage in the stands.

Infact is the WBA even an option, poor poll

The fact that Bergkamp used the game to practice a World Cup goal makes it pretty special!

Can't believe it's taken me this long to notice there's a choice missing that really ought to be considered (and I'm not sure anyone else has mentioned it)

Palace at Wembley.

1-0 down in the first half, then Parker's penalty and Claridge's unforgettable last minute goal.

I think everyone forgets the fact that we came from behind! Sure this has to be one of our best comebacks!

Really enjoyed Villa this season and Manure was obviously great. I remember watching the Spurs comebacks in 04/06 though and they were class. Wasn't quite into my football enough for it to be the Arsenal one.

One thats not been mentioned (ultimately because we got nothing from the game) is the second leg of the play-offs in Cardiff. Losing the first leg at home, and then conceding early in the second leg, Michael Chopra (massive cvnt) wasn't it?? When Kingy scored that third I went bat shit crazy. Won't mention the Frenchy who fvcked it up for us..
