Sleeping with the enemy

Did it at Bournemouth, both Bristol clubs but the most scary was at Ninnian Park. We got to the ground late and was directed in by a Welsh copper who obviously didn't understand my English when asking for the away turnstile. Ended up on that big side terrace frequented by Cardiff's finest Soul crew nutters with their Bluebird tattoo'd necks. They sussed us out and we only lasted about 5 minutes before stewards, who thought we were mad, got us out and escorted us round the pitch perimeter to the away terrace. Never did that again.

Northampton away 2008-09, where I think probably most of the stadium was full of Leicester fans.

We did Northampton in the home end too. The home end was full of Leicester fans. When Lloyd Dyer scored we saw pockets of Leicester fans jumping up fists pumping.

The only other time I did it was last season at Stamford Bridge. I was behind that goal with a friend when Nugent squandered that one on one. Painful to watch.

My ex is a Forest fan, does that count as sleeping with the enemy?

Wouldn't dare sit in the home end for an away game, what's the point of an away day if you're sat there silent as the KP's family stand pre-clappers?

Did it twice, Newcastle away last year and QPR around Xmas (Vardy 1-0 / Squirrel game). Both times near the away end too.

As said by Renart you end up looking over at our end wishing you were there wanting to join in the chants etc.

27 will be near impossible to beat my friend. Are you a season ticket holder? Surely with the amount of aways you go to you can clock up enough points to get priority in our end?

Was in the Kop at Hillsborough the year we went up. I was dying to just run off and get a ticket on the gate at the away end and tell my mate and his dad (who I went with, both wednesdayites) that I'd see them in the pub after, but my mates old man had got the tickets so I didn't want to seem rude.

We got in late so I missed both our goal and their equaliser! So didn't have a problem holding the emotions in. Think everyone clocked on to me when they scored the winner though, I just stayed sitting, got a bit of banter thrown my way but nothing major, decent bunch around us.

Chelsea (not sure what year) lost 1-0. Frank Leboeuf 89th minute winner. Peggy was in goal and played great. Didn't enjoy sitting with the Chelsea lot one bit.

I was at that game too in Chelsea hospitality. I was working in Essex at the time and a chap whose firm had a table invited me as a thank you for some work I'd done for his family as I was a Leicester fan.

It was a lovely gesture and the meal was nice however I spent the entire game wishing I was in the away end. Never bothered since!

Worst bit was watching behind a Perspex screen with chants from the Matthew Harding stand being piped through!

Yeah became more apparent when Leicester scored the winner, nearly an whole role behind me jumped up and cheered. The stewards just couldn't handle it all. I can remember quite a few being threw out just after Leicester scored there first aswell.

I can remember after that though a few weeks later Leicester played away at Milton Keynes, of course tickets were sold out in no time. In order to prevent another incident like this, they didn't allow fans with certain postcodes to buy tickets in the home end.

Just the once when we beat Derby 4-0.

By the time the third goal went in I had to totally hide my face from view to keep from laughing at the home fans going mad :)

I was at the MK Dons game but in the home in. There were so many City fans in there that we were even chanting after the last minute equaliser. There must have been thousands in the home end that day

I went to the Coventy v Bristol City match in 1976. Last match of the season, loser gets relegated, unless Sunderland I think, get stuffed.

Anyway in Cov end praying they lose. Jimmy Hill causes a 15 minute delay in the ko, saying crowd problem. Anyway my memory a bit hazy but Cov I think go into a 2-0 lead, BC come back to 2-2, when the announcer on the tannoy says both teams are safe with a draw. The last 15 minutes neither side attacks and they just walk about doing nothing. Real fix, but both sets of supporters going crazy. The only time any atmosphere ever experienced in the home end at Highfield Road.

Been in the Trent end when Leeds stuffed them 4-1 in the 70's, that was brilliant, but being a gutless B, kept quiet.

So only two matches, but both memorable in their own way.

So what would you do if you found yourself next to an away fan at the KP ?? I expect there will be quite a few dotted around at the next home match (seems like a lot of begging for tickets on Facebook that probably aren't for City fans).

Tie their shoe laces together when they're not looking

Was at Norwich, had a terrible seat aswell had a post covering one goal! Had a Leicester fan in front as well so it didn't look so bad when neither of us jumped up.

Keep an eye on the flags.

Stoke away this year 2-0 down......they really are nice people ( not) Didn't celebrate when we equalised, if Vardys last minute effort had gone in could have been in trouble.... Off to Swansea next......

I did it for the 5-2 Chelsea FA Cup tie back in 2012. It was pretty brutal. You could tell there were a few of us dotted around but some of us managed to blend in with the emotionless tourists who were also in attendance and weren't cheering all that much for the Chelsea goals. Two guys behind me got up and cheered when Beckford and Marshall scored... brave move, some sovereign ringed knuckle dragger got out of his seat and came down to square up to them. It got pretty awkward.

I went to two consecutive West Brom/City matches and sat in the home section. In November 1995 I went with my Baggies mate and saw us win 3-2, one of City's great performances, especially the first half. By the end I was winding up the old biddies in front of us. The next time City played at the Hawthorns was in 2002 in the FA Cup. My mate got me a single ticket in the home section of the Smethwick End. Sitting right behind Ian Walker's goal surrounded by fervent Yam Yams I did my best to draw no attention to myself, but my forced neutrality made it clear I wasn't a local. The friendly home fan next to me could obviously tell. When the Baggies scored the only goal of the match, he kissed my bald head!

I also sat in the home section at Highbury in 1995. When Mark Draper scored the equaliser I must have flinched as some Gooner behind made a few sarcy comments but nothing more.

Living in cornwall have never had season ticket till last two seasons so always struggled for away tickets think i can beat 27,

but will just list the dodgiest ones, chelsea a 1982, portsmouth, stoke, cardiff, away play off semis, whu a couple of times in the 90s, newcastle 2004? chelsea, spurs, man utd  and arsenal last season last seasons were  not particularly dodgy but put them down anyway

Now that away tickets are much harder to get, some of us have to use some more creative ways of seeing the Foxes play. I have done a check to see how many of the current league grounds I have been to in the home end. My tally is 27. Can anybody beat that? I have to be honest in saying I don't enjoy it nearly as much but at least you are there.Only ever had a problem at 2 grounds, Forest and Peterboro. Looking forward to Newcastle. :scarf:

Why is the title sleeping with the enemy,

It's a stupid title and has nowt to do with sleeping with the enemy, sleeping with the enemy would be to me shagging a bird from cov or Notts which I currently have been for the last 11 years, not about tickets,it's a stupid title, have you just watched the film and liked the title or something,it's pritty random
