Leicester City v Chelsea post match thread 2 - 1

I love Kante, just amazing player with his whole career ahead of him.  He gives away too many simple balls or mistakes but then in the next second has won it back and started an attack off.

I like Leo and really want him to score a blaster but it never just falls for him or he scuffs it.  His hold up play and flick ons play their part but too many times he does his trademark lean back which more than often ends up giving away a foul.

I thought Albrighton had a great game and dominated Ivanovic every time.  Shame about Drinky, lets hope they got him on ice straight away.

Still on course to win $60,000 AUD if we win league and top four will give me $3,000.00 - both $20 outlays! Title was @ 3001/1 and Top 4 @ 151/1.

Also have Vardy as top scorer took it for $3 @ 81/1 and $2 @ 151/1 - total $550 win.

Betting Agency (Sportsbet Australia) are now offering cash out on top 4 and Vardy as leading scorer in PL but hanging off offering cash out on title. Cashout for top 4 is now being offered at $1000.00!

Barnsley fan here calling out from the lower reaches of league 1. I put £20 on you lot to finish in the top 4 after 3 or 4 games this season at 100/1. Not looking too shabby!

Absolute breath of fresh air this season. I love Ranieri, always smiling and never whinging like most PL managers. There's a lot to be said for a bloke who always smiles. Vardy and Mahrez just incredible, and not spoilt primadonna mercenaries who think they just deserve the win for turning up.

Not glory hunting and I'm a Barnsley fan through and through (I actually run a Tykes forum very similar to this one!), but Leicester this season have restored my faith in football when I almost gave up on it between the inflated ticket prices, Sky Sports prices and overpaid mercenaries. Please, please, please go on and win the league. It would be incredible, and I think every non-PL team fan wants you to win it.

Bless you mate. Great post. Cheers

I am not a gay man but Mahrez would get it.

I think he could do better.

All in all, a fantastic team performance and even the subs fitted in nicely. Although I do agree with the notion that now in hindsight, Inler and Okazaki could've/should've come on a bit earlier.

Credit to the whole group for sticking together and even trying to score a third when Chelsea were pressing for an equalizer.

Despite being an out-of-form team struggling to maintain its place in the Premier League, it was nice to see the guests actively contributing to an entertaining match for once.

Top of the league with almost half of the season played and five points off the first club milestone for this campaign.  :appl:

Nothing to brag about getting 3 points at home against relegation fodder.

Seems we haven't played anyone good yet, when does the season start

MOURINHO SAID WE DESERVED TO WIN!

...imagine that.

I... I... don't believe it

Slightly lucky in the end to come out with 3 points, but that is still a very good team of individuals that we kept at bay and our 2 worldie individuals have taken their chances brilliantly. How many points has Mahrez won us this season with his class?! Give that man a 7 year contract.

Lucky...ffs Lucky in god names why..!!! YES Chelsea had a couple of decent chances,

possesion, we always give away...And..And we had another hatfull of our own chances.

Youcaint invited to my house at christmas, you would find summat thats missing...

and no it wouldnt be the stuffing, nor the right spirit to top the pud.

Next up: "they've not played any of the top sides away" - who cares though? ripped them open for the first hour with ease. After they took Terry off they got better but we held out brilliantly.

I'm exhausted.

That match put me through the ringer. So happy.

Great game...but wow we look knackered towards the end. Every player played their part. I want to put in a special mench for Ulloa. I thought he was right up there, he might not do anything spectacular but holds up play lays it off and brings the players in brilliantly today.

Every pundit write us off today. ****ing Charlie Nicholas has us to lose 3-1!

So feels good to stick the middle finger up to all of them!

What a game! Wasn't our best performance but to get the result, that was our best defensive display I think! Hard to call a MOTM imo cause there was so many good performances tonight, Fuchs, Wes, Kante, Albrighton, King put a shift in and of course Vardy and Mahrez!

Wes looked like a kid at Christmas with that post match interview, couldn't stop smiling and giving up with the whole 40 point thing saying we want to take it as far as we can lol luckily Mahrez bought him back down to earth and said we had very good start but need the 40/42 points lol

Two utterly breathtaking goals from Vardy and Mahrez. Absolutely grade one. Thought Mourinho aged 20 years while I watched. Perhaps he'll end up the next manager after Sherwood and Monk to lose his job after losing to us although I hope not. We're not top for nothing and Chelsea only became the latest of so many teams to fail in their efforts to stop us scoring.

I'm not at all sure anyone would have prevented those goals. Vardy struck like a cobra for his goal and there was hardly any space for Mahrez to either get his short away or find the bend necessary to make it count.

For all the we won and always offered a threat going forward it wasn't even our best performance. I thought we gave the ball away a bit too easily and looked a bit tired second half. But what heroes just the same.

Fuchs or Mahrez for man of the match they were both terrific.

CR tactically so astute, sending Inler on & NG out on the right just stopped them playing. As a London based fan this is just wonderful. Sweet dreams everyone, can't wait for work in the morning

Oh yes indeed!

Leicester City the new revelation in football... possession is nothing, it is what you do with the ball that matters. Games are won not by passing side to side or backwards better than the other side but just by putting the ball into the net more often than the opposition.
