Surely we can beat that bloody lot. Shocking today

I am a pessimist by nature and seeing this club I love **** things up for 20 years has just made me worse but here I am think nothing less than 3 points from Anfield will be disappointing!

What strange times we are living in

I don't know, I can't see them being that shit three times on the spin.

SHOULD be an easy win, but if the likes of Can and Coutinho turn up and we have a stinker then we could be in for some Boxing Day cold turkey.

They've been woeful since Gerrard left the team.

Need to be wary of Benteke, as that's the type of striker we normally struggle to deal with.

Should really split their defence open, as ever Skrtel can be quite a bombscare.

Lukaku has been far more of a handful for most teams this season.

He has pace which Benteke doesn't, is stronger and is on form, and we managed to contain him pretty well.

Am I right in thinking we have been the bookies favourites to lose every match this season?

Assuming Arsenal was a fluke (as we didn't go 3-0 up as we were meant to) then I would propose we will get points from every match until we are the bookies favourites to win.

Just checked: I think you should all put your money where you mouth is : good odds for a win against a mid table side.

Liverpool are way favourite ???????

No we would have been favourite for a few matches. At least 5 or 6

We would have been favorites for every mid to low table home game. Sunderland, Villa, Palace, and Watford at least.

Hold on so with skrtel getting injured today & say he's unvailable for Boxing Day, then that means there Injury list at the back consists of Mignolet, Skrtel & Lovren? Which means Bogdan, Toure & Sakho will be in the back 5...

Fancied a draw for this one but if those 3 start then got to aim for the win surely! Vardy will really fancy his chances.

Would it be wrong to suggest the Tinker Man tinkers and rests a couple of players ahead of the busy schedule?

Kasper

Simpson

Was

Huth

Fuchs

Mahrez

King

Kante

Dyer

Ulloa

Okazaki

Give Vardy, Allbrighton and Big Wes a little rest, even if Vardy and Albrighton come on in the second half, might have them a bit fitter for the 6pointer against Man City

It depends which Liverpool side turn up there could be a backlash, they have players that can hurt us and if they get their high energy pressing game going and pressure our midfield, especially without Drinkwater, we could see very little of the ball, but then we don't need the ball.

I do wonder if they have burnt themselves out, Klopp came in they went from pedestrian to high intensity, we have had years of focus on fitness sports science and playing at a high level for 90 minutes and recovering so we are much better prepared to play high intensity for 90 minutes every game and that is why we haven't dropped off.

Liverpool is 3-3-2 at home

W: Villa, Bournemouth, Swansea

D: Norwich, Southampton, West Brom

L: West Ham, Palace

Telling stats. Won against woeful teams (Bournemouth were raw at the time and it was a very lucky win), draws against very average teams, and defeats to 2 teams who played with similar style to us. It has all the signs of a banker for us - which is always worrying, though.

Liverpool will have a determination to do better and we need to have even more determination not to give them space to breathe. Benteke we've dealt with before through the tried and trusted method of cutting the supply of crosses.

Otherwise it's just about us and about our focus. Liverpool will get in our faces and so long as we're despatching the ball across their goalline at the time I don't give a toss.

I think we will win, although it may be scrappy like the game against Everton.

1-2 I reckon, an early goal would kill their confidence and if we start well we could be in for a good afternoon
