dylanlegend Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 if they find someone good enough that will fit in with the group buy him. As big a fan of Kasper as I am I wouldn't say no to a more dominate keeper, would go a long way to sorting our set piece problems Marshall from Cardiff would be a good shout, got PL keeper of the year a few years back, also very dominant. I'd also go for a RB and Winger
Corky Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Why would it upset the squad? We clearly identify targets that fit in, not just with the ability but the character and attitude too. The squad needs strengthening so yes, get some new faces in.
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Yes. If Vardy gets injured the other strikers will score nowhere near as many goals. If Mahrez gets injured, we won't create anywhere near as many. And if Kante gets injured..... The whole team would look very very different. I watched him closely today. The times he gets a toe in, or an interception to break up an attack...he is IMMENSE to this team. The Prermiership signing of the summer by a country mile is this bloke. Forget your Memphys Depays and your Martials. Kante is worth his weight in gold.
Kitchandro Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Yes we need to strike while the iron's hot. I'll be gutted if we tamely drop away. Clearly we need a couple of signings for us to last the season.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I've voted a definite yes. As has been said we need better than Ulloa or Oka to help Vards up front. We cannot win the PL with those two - to me it's a stand out area of weakness - despite Okas goal today. Top four is up for grabs, and we should recruit from position of strength which we now have. We may not get this type of opportunity again - lets go for it.
My Nads Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Norwich didn't strengthen and it cost them. Valdez, Austin, Byram. Done. Almost done, just add Hernandez to that list and if anyone leaves get a replacement.
Captain... Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 We don't have to make signings, so any we do make have to be the right player in terms of ability and attitude, and I trust Walsh and Ranieri to find that player which is why I don't see any risk to the cohesion and team spirit of the squad.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Almost done, just add Hernandez to that list and if anyone leaves get a replacement. Hernandez yes would love that
foxes21 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Byram? Austin? Are people joking? Both have been terrible this season, and won't offer anything more to what we have currently.
TrentFox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Read in one gossip column today that Swansea are seeking to loan Remy !! Hard to imagine they'd let him out, but thatt would be a fabulous move for us !
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Byram? Austin? Are people joking? Both have been terrible this season, and won't offer anything more to what we have currently. I absolutely agree, if we are strengthening to avoid relegation I can understand that, but if you are serious about making a title challenge then we need better.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Yes... but shrewdly. I doubt we will ever have a better chance of finishing top four than this so we have to carefully strengthen
AyewJoking Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 do we buy players that can walk straight into the first eleven or players who dont mind being back up to the best team in the league? i cant think of any players good enough to get in our first team who would be realistic targets. its tough at the top!
Great Boos Up Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Most players in the world now know of the Leicester miracle. Who would not want to be a part of that and possibly play champions league. Aim a higher than Charlie Austin please.
MGLCFC Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 A genuine second striker and another winger for me. I initially was favouring a right back, but I think Simpson is doing just fine.
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 The reality now is, amazing though it sounds (I'm still pinching miself) that we are a club looking realistically to be going for Champions League football next season. If we are to sign anybody else, would you think Austin to be a Champions league footballer? Sure, he could come in and I believe do a better job than Ulloa who, for all his work rate seems to have gotten slower this season? But we now surely have to be looking at real quality additions don't we? If we do sign anybody, they have got to add value to the squad in a clear and obvious way. Austin is ok. But that's it.
chapero82 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 we got players in our promotion season too it helps alot
sdb Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 If a player who will as close as certainly improve the XI becomes available then yes. CR & SW will make the right calls if needed.
splinterdream Posted 19 December 2015 Author Posted 19 December 2015 Has Ranieri got the bottle to say give me £60 million and I'll win you the league?
katieakita Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Manure have spent £250 million and are outside a CL place, we can strengthen in places and we could do with a few additions everybody admits that but getting anyone who can walk straight into the side seamlessly will take some doing and plenty of dosh. As for the likes of C Austin if Claudio and the team think he offers something different to the squad why not.
Buce Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Yes. That would be about 50kg soaking wet..
katieakita Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Has Ranieri got the bottle to say give me £60 million and I'll win you the league? Think £60 million and i will give you a top 4 finish is more likely.
NewEnglandFox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Yes. We'd not only buying for the this campaign but also for Europe next season. However, we have to be careful not to disrupt chemistry. However I think Claudio or at least Walshy understand this.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 The club won't sign players for the sake of it, our recruitment has been reasoned even if some players haven't quite hit the ground running or had much of a look in, Benalouane for example barely kicks a ball but still fits in with the whole ethos of the squad. I think we need a right back to relegate Simpson to back up, he's done really well recently but if we want to use this to really crack on we could and should be looking to attract the right sided equivalent of Fuchs. Cases can be raised for striking options, wingers and centre mids but on the whole I don't think we need that much at all.
Great Boos Up Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Think £60 million and i will give you a top 4 finish is more likely. But Splinterdream is right, as are you! Let's get a couple of £25million signings (that fit) and we are Champions League! That is what the Thai's have wet dreams about! Champions League; and we have this one shot before the season ends or are players are gobbled up by Man City and Barcelona
