Monsell1976 Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 I'm sure we will have the right attitude, does concern me how much these last few games have took out of us. I like Bournemouth, nice to see a club with their budget holding their own, expect a close result though.
Babylon Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 3 points from this or we have failed. I like Bournemouth but we should be dominating these lot for 90 minutes.Actually wondering if you've ever watched a game of football.
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 I don't expect it to be easy (you never should) but I do expect us to win.
sdb Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Massive game. And probably the first time we've been favourites to win a game in a month + They work so hard and I fear this one if i'm honest. Need some fresh legs...Dyer perhaps. If we can win this and then rest the best XI for the cup (sorry but given the league season we're having...) I'd be so happy and optimistic for 2016...
LCFC95 Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 I'm really hoping we win this one even if it's a scrappy 1-0 so that we can rest our starting XI for 10 days before the league match against Spurs.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 1-1 Our run is over. We take the lead, they equalise around half time and we never quite get going. Wheels coming off........... Wheels well and truly coming off, you know losing to Liverpool 1 nil away and drawing with man city a f ing disaster... might as well abandon ship now
Sleepy Fox Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Was it at Bournemouth a few months ago where we tried out the 4-5-1 for a half? I don't think we will see 1 up top again except against the top sides. 3-1 Leicester
Man-alive Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Although I'm not expecting us to win this comfortably - I think we can, and it would be nice if we did. I just hope Lawro predicts us to lose - then it's a foregone conclusion we will win. 2-0 would be great, with goals from Vardy and Huth.
Suffolk exile Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 Going to be really a tight game. I think (read - hope?) a slim City win.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 30 December 2015 Posted 30 December 2015 No disrespect to Bournemouth, but if we want to be playing Champions League football next season we HAVE to be beating Bournemouth at home. 2 changes - Dyer for Albrighton and Okazaki for Ulloa. They are a possession based team which will suit us. Get Okazaki and Kante nicking the ball off them and setting Vardy off on the break and I'm sure we'll score a few. I'm saying 2-1. Vardy and Drinkwater.
Thracian Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 No disrespect to Bournemouth, but if we want to be playing Champions League football next season we HAVE to be beating Bournemouth at home. It doesn't work like that. Bournemouth are a good side with a cracking manager and if it hadn't been for a pile-up of injuries they might have taken a lot more scalps to add to the remarkable ones they've already claimed. We'll have to work every bit as hard as in any other match to take the spoils. In fact Bournemouth were exactly the kind of side we'd have lost to in the first half of last season. Organised, committed, all for one and perfectly capable of competing with anyone in our league. .
waylander Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Was a really tough game against them last time . If they didn't get those injurys in the game think they would have won the game. And we were better second half. Expecting a tough one. Hope the bloody ref is better for this one. Up the city
waylander Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Thanks Thracian that was exactly what I was trying to type one fingered . They had us on the ropes for a while down the
Nod.E Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Unsure of the outcome for this one but get the feeling there will be late drama. I'll go 2-1, Ulloa to pop up with a last minute header.
NewEnglandFox Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 The first Bournemouth game feels like an eternity ago and the only one that we would have played differently if we could have known we are as good as we are now. We started the 4-4-1-1 with Mahrez behind Vardy with Gradel smashing Mahrez very early on. Now we know we can't score goals in that formation and I expect us starting in the 4-4-2 and going for the win. Bournemouth isn't a team to take lightly. They will have a game plan to beat us like they did United. I bet they're licking their lips watching us give away corner after corner. Luckily it should be easier to limit Bournemouth's chances than Everton, Liverpool, or Man City.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 We are a different side from the one that played them last time. I think Kante played, but not centrally, Fuchs and Simpson didn't start, and Doodoo played the last 20 mins. Late 2015 LCFC should have enough, as long as the lads work as hard as we know they can.
NoFuchsGiven Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Can't wait for this now, looking forward to this more than I was Man City
jaqo88 Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 We are a different side from the one that played them last time. They could probably argue the same point, and they now have more confidence after beating United, Chelsea, etc.I agree however that we should have enough to beat them, if we work hard with no complacency. 2-0 to us.
Mainlander Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Full credit to everyone involved at Bournemouth. Some bad injuries to key players has not held them back. They could easily have folded and bemoaned the bad luck but they have been fantastic. Wont be easy but we should have enough to win. I hope we get a couple from players other than Mahrez or Vardy. Fantastic runs they are on but we need others as scoring options.
Finnegan Posted 31 December 2015 Posted 31 December 2015 Ordinarily, I'd accept this as a tricky tie and wouldn't be overly devastated if they knicked a point. They're like a bottom half version of us, punching above their weight despite a lack of quality. If we want to shut the critics up, though, and push on and finish top four then I think it's very important we win this game and restart that momentum. Our successes is born out of our consistency versus "the rest of the league" while Arsenal and City drop points left right and centre.
