StanSP Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 felt like he was itching to get one on Kane. Sort of did but didn't push the boundary too much. just plant one on his chest, that's fine Was
I blame Wellens Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 Dodgy tonight. However much we love him, surely we can all see that his PL days, if they ever existed, are behind him?I'm gonna tell him you said that
Chester Dontlie Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 Fuchs sake. I was writing such a nice moderately long post about Was having an off day (like pretty much everyone of our players) and CR's defensive tactics which I though were shit, but then I hit the wrong button and there it went! Mind you, I wouldn't send Wasyl to retirement home just yet. Huth, who had a steady run of games, was considerably worse vs Villa, and you know everything can happen. I mean bookings, injuries, dips in form etc. Hopefully we'll see Wasyl again this season, if only as joker in Ranieri's deck. Btw, he was having some good old-fashioned fun with Kane, that was the highlight of the game for me
lgfualol Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 Very possible that's the last time we've seen him in a City shirt. Huth's got another suspension or two in him, so I bet we will see Wasyl.
Fox92 Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 Poor last night, summed up with a pointless booking.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 Poor last night, summed up with a pointless booking. Best tackle of the night that was.
Fox92 Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 Best tackle of the night that was. Well there was anything else positive was there.
AKCJ Posted 21 January 2016 Posted 21 January 2016 Need to chant his name everytime he comes to warm up. As mentioned that, barring injury, was probably his last game for us. Love the bloke. Top professional. legend Legend.
The whole world smiles Posted 4 August 2016 Author Posted 4 August 2016 On 05/01/2016 at 14:42, The whole world smiles said: I was having quite a funny conversation with my old man on the way back from Liverpool on boxing day about players we had completely forgot played for Leicester all sorts of duffers came up like Danny Cadamarteri and Kishishev and it occurred to me that we are going through such a great period in our history with so many memorable players that this is in danger of happening to players whose contributions deserve to be remembered. Players like big Was. Was was originally Signed in 13/14 and helped the record breaking team to the Championship title by starting 27 games, we won 18 of them. In our first season in the Prem he played in 8 of the final 9 games which saw us pull of the 'greatest' of 'great escapes'. With his heroic performances often being overlooked due to the arrival and form of big Huth. He is now 35 and due to Claudio changing back to a 4 at the back he has found his opportunities limited and I was a bit disappointed that after getting his chance at Everton due to a Huth suspension, and taking it with both hands with a towering performance in a famous win he found himself back on the bench for the following game, but then I thought to come in and play like that after not featuring all season tells you everything you need to know about the blokes professionalism, character and class and you can be sure that if we need him again this season he will be just as dependable. Anyway I will be very surprised if this isn't his last season and I just thought I'd post this as it does sometimes feel like he has been overlooked slightly and there have been very few players who have contributed as much this big Polish slab of granite to our success in recent years. I hope he will be remembered for his solid performances, his utter dedication, his flying elbows and..... this tackle If we do get to see him again this season enjoy him while you can because he has been one of the best (well top 10) and most underrated CB's I've seen in my 25 years following city. Just a quick bump in honour of his worldie tackle on Suarez made one of the best players in the world look a right fool, it made me laugh because when Suarez was running at him I knew exactly what was about to happen. Also absolutely over the moon the club gave him another year, looking forward to see him play quite a few games this year in the leauge cup, fa cup and think he will be captain in the EFL trophy. Wasil not being presented with a medal was one of the only slight sour notes of the end of last season for me but glad the club have rewarded him with a contract.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Textbook scissor tackle from Was last night, like you said, we all knew what was going to happen!
AKCJ Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 He's got that cult hero status. Hope he gets the Leicester badge tattooed on his other leg one day
Fox 4 Life Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 When Suarez was having a pop at Drinky, he went over there and got in his face, Suarez definitely dropped a bollock for a minute there

john ridley Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Does anyone know if he did indeed receive a winners medal ,seems abit mean if the club overlooked it .
FireFox Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 7 minutes ago, FIF said: I think he merits a first team spot at the moment. When starting with Huth and Morgan, I'd have him on the bench over Hernandez because he's more similar to them, so if one gets injured, then he'd fit right in. (Though if no Amartey on the bench, maybe Hernandez as he's probably better cover for RB.) However, for some games we'll need to change how we play and that might mean starting Hernandez with Was probably not even on the bench.
Collymore Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 The man's a monster. I liked it how he seemed to be looking after Kapuska during the game too...

He's looking after him from the beginning of Kapustka adventure with Leicester, he will really help him to acclimate in the club.

The club received an allocation of 25 medals to distribute through the club with standard procedures dictating where most, if not all of them went...
TheSomersetFox Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Anyone know if Wasyl's interested in coaching after he retires? Would love us to offer him some sort of role here whenever he decides to call it a day

It'd be something like the montage sequence in Rocky IV.
