fuchsntf Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Since he put on a Leicester shirt, hes been my man..!! Its easy to pur when we watch Mahrez and Vardy go around doing their business, but Wasi makes one shudder , either when moving forward, or when he sees fresh meat daring to move towards our goal. Few notice ,for big defenders, Huth, Morgan, and Wasi, cover some ground and are not short of comparible pace. I really hope he has a super season with us, we know if he has to come in because of injury, comes off the bench, or becomes 1st choice in a cup competion, this guy will never let us down. I actually believe if he was given his lead and had to cover for 60-70% season in the first team against all comers, he would be a godsend, I dont know if he could now give a full season, but hey-ho what a player to have in need..

Chester Dontlie Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Wasyl the Vampire Hunter Like father to son
ARM1968 Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Absolute distillation of what we are about. Great guy. Great spirit.

MC Prussian Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 I thought Wasilewski had played against Suarez before, when he was at Anderlecht and Suarez at Ajax. Turns out the two teams faced each other in 2009/2010, but that was right when Wasilewski was recovering from that horrible leg injury. Love the effort from the Big Man, aged 36 and still has it. Reminds me a bit of Walter "Il Muro" Samuel.
Wymsey Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 Can't understand why Wasyl never considered boxing/wrestling as a career. Would've had many knock-outs, all won without any bruises or scratches on him.
nigelbee Posted 4 August 2016 Posted 4 August 2016 The epitome of a cult hero. Clever stuff by the club to retain him (in part to mentor Kapustka). Was gave away that free kick at the Emirates just to make the title race a little more interesting! Role model, legend, grandfather, great bloke and best beard in the Premier League.
Collymore Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Fast forward 50 years "So Grandad, This Was you talk about, was he really slow? He sounds massive but slow and cumbersome.." Me "No he was also the 3rd quickest player in the league at the age of 35" "...but Grandad, was Sterling and Aguero not playing around that time...?" "Yes, he was quicker.." ".....oh Grandad, you've got such a sense of humour" My arthritic hands slowly move for the scrapbook.... I think I'm going to get this table framed when he retires and stick it somewhere in the house with loads of his action pictures as a border. Finnegan Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 That gif of him giving Cabbage a talking to gives me the feels. Two generations. Beaut.
foxes21 Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Poland should have took him to the euros. a back three of wasyl, glik & pazdan would have been unfair on everyone else
EnderbyFox Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 I like to think that for the last 2 years Rudkin has sat Wasyl down with the intention of telling him that his contract is not being renewed. "So uhhh.. how does a 1 year deal sound Marcin?"
AKCJ Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 He's probably second to Kingy in my list of favourite players. Even when he nearly killed Monreal to giftwrap Arsenal the win last season I couldn't be mad at him. He's like the entire team's big brother. He's got everyones backs.

So, what is Wasyl like as a player? Just watch this. a. beaten to the ball but recovers quickly b. performs a perfect tackle c. gives the player a clobber for showing him up One day, instead of pictures of iconic players and historical moments on the walls of the KP, they'll have gifs. If this isn't one of them, it'll be a travesty

whitlock Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 He has an Anderlecht tattoo on his calf... love to see him get a City one done on the other leg!
SlaneyLCFC Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 Would like to see him have more game time this season. Top player and great attitude.
promised land Posted 5 August 2016 Posted 5 August 2016 2 hours ago, whitlock said: He has an Anderlecht tattoo on his calf... love to see him get a City one done on the other leg! Is that due to his injury, them keeping him and getting him back in the game, hence the club means a massive amount to him? Even so, he won the Premier league here so it would sit well on him.
