Spudulike Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Seems that he might be according to some Carrot Crunchers ... http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/174242-nigel-pearson/
Webbo Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Bristol are so poor James Pearson might even get a game.
My Nads Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Don't think they could afford his wages. He has turned down bigger clubs with probable higher offers. Get the feeling he was still being paid by our club until the New Year, so things could be different now.
Wymsey Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 That would be a decent club for him. They want stability, after ups and downs.
Finnegan Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Come on Nigel, you can do better than that pal.
ithuriel Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Think he might like the challenge, when he came here first time round we were in a bit of a state.
RowlattsFox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Always felt Bristol city would be a good job for him. Money there to spend, keep them up this year then he can build.
weller54 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Think he's still holding out for a Prem job. ...ostrich!
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Too good for that job. However, if they have a decent budget and let him manage they will do very well.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Ideal if he goes somewhere like this that definitely won't be able to get Shakespeare and Walsh too. A nagging concern.
MPH Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Would quite like him to go there. Substantially increases our chances of retaining Shaky and Walshy for sure . More so than if it was a prem club.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Shakespeare and Walsh won't leave us if Pearson gets the Bristol City job. As much as they all consider themselves a team, financially it wouldn't make sense for CS and SW.

As much as they all consider themselves a team, financially it wouldn't make sense for CS and SW. Not only that, they are on substantial contracts and so i would be shocked if Bristol could afford the compensation for them... Would probably be their transfer budget for the next season
JerryLundegaard Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Would quite like him to go there. Substantially increases our chances of retaining Shaky and Walshy for sure . More so than if it was a prem club. Would always wish the best for Nige and think Prem would be best fit for his abilities. But for purely selfish reasons you do make a good point!

As much as they all consider themselves a team, financially it wouldn't make sense for CS and SW. Has he got other coaches he would bring in? It'd be difficult to get the calibre of Shakespeare and Walsh.
KP Fox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Why is this in the Leicester City forum? Coz the guy rescued us from third tier football, won 2 championships, took us to the Premier League and kept us there. And some of us would like to see him back in football again.
Fox92 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Why is this in the Leicester City forum? Because everytime he is linked with another job a new thread is created for some reason.
Guest Manini Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Imagine Bristol City fans turning their noses up at the idea of Nigel Pearson becoming their new manager lol as one poster on that forum states, they've got no players! They'd be lucky to get Martin Allen
