David Hankey Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 I wouldn't think Pearson would go to Bristol as it's a long commute from his Sheffield home which he never left when he was employed by the best team in the world!!
Soar Fox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Has he got other coaches he would bring in? It'd be difficult to get the calibre of Shakespeare and Walsh. He likes having ex players as part of his management staff. Maybe he would take Chris Powell or approach Kevin Philips.
Soar Fox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Or he waits for Wasyl to leave Leicester in the summer then hires him as his assistant.
Corky Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 He needs to choose new people to work with. Ours aren't going to walk away from well paid jobs at a thriving Premier League club to make a step down in the pyramid. They've progressed beyond that now. Powell, Phillips, Berner, Dickov I'm sure would all be able to work with Nige.

Dickov22 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Why is this in the Leicester City forum? Because he's our second greatest manager of all time?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Because he's our second greatest manager of all time? Exactly, he did wonders for this club, got us from third tier to the premier league... when before him we were complete turd. I hate those that don't respect what Pearson achieved at this club
lifted*fox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Exactly, he did wonders for this club, got us from third tier to the premier league... when before him we were complete turd. I hate those that don't respect what Pearson achieved at this club I wouldn't waste your hate on them. Utterly clueless idiots tbh. We've moved on, yes - but to disregard the complete overhaul that man gave this club is ****ing idiocy of the highest order.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 I can't believe some of their fans' views on him. Just goes to show how much influence the media have on other clubs fans. Suppose they can't really be blamed. I looked to try and join their forum to set the record straight but couldn't see how to join They seem to think our players hate him or were scared of him. Nothing could've been further from the truth once he'd weeded out the egos Sven had signed. How well NP would fare without Walsh and Shakey though remains to be seen as WE all know it's Walsh's scouting abilities that unearthed Vardy Mahrez etc rather than Sir Nige.
Leicesterpool Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Pearson would want to go somewhere with some ambition, Bristol City i just feel wouldn't be his type of club.
lgfualol Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Doubt he'd get a job in the prem yet, would make sense for him to rebuild in the championship again. Also means shakey and walsh would laugh if he asked them to drop down to the champ.
chicagofox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Has Pearson gone West? I hear life is peaceful there.
GaelicFox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 He needs to choose new people to work with. Powell, Phillips, Berner, Dickov I'm sure would all be able to work with Nige. Two steps down the pyramid come next season ! The money that Leicester will tie the guys up on will be more than Pearson will get at Bristol. Have a feeling Pearson is doomed to wilderness if he takes that job
Fox92 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Because he's our second greatest manager of all time? After O'Neill ? Because Matt Gillies is the greatest.
Matt Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 All the best Nige if you do take the job, no disrespect to Bristol City but I think you could do better but this seems pretty serious given the links/news i've seen, I'll certainly be keeping an eye on Bristol City and hoping they do brilliant if you do go there! I really want Nige back in a job!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 He's better than that, on the bright side if a Fulham move broke down because they were iffy about the price of Walsh and Shakespeare then Bristol aren't stumping up shit and they'll be in League One next season.
MPH Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Because he's our second greatest manager of all time? Easy, Tiger. He got us promoted. Not sure that qualifies as being the 2nd greatest manager of all time for us....
Dickov22 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Easy, Tiger He got us promoted. Not sure that qualifies as being the 2nd greatest manager of all time for us.... He transformed the club. Finances, performance, current squad, scouting, sports science. His next club are lucky
Dickov22 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 After O'Neill ? Because Matt Gillies is the greatest. Your opinion.
VLC86 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 He didn't say much about it on 5 live other than 'it's a big city'. Would seam like a strange one but they tried to splash the cash in the summer so depends what they promise him I guess.
foxes21 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Deserves a prem job, but if he goes back to the championship, whoever gets him are very lucky!
