09bballer Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 Brilliant news. At last! Welcome to Leicester daniel!
Stevosevic Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 Sky Sports News HQ @SkySportsNewsHQ 33s34 seconds ago Amartey signs four-and-a-half-year deal. Sky Sources: #LCFC pay £5M for the 21-year-old.
smr Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 Awesome signing... read this and it'll put a smile on yer face!... " Amartey is the very definition of an all-action, energetic, box-to-box midfielder. If Leicester are either a) worried about overloading Kante or b) buying a similar player in fear of a big bid this summer (and so they should be), then this is a smart move that oozes foresight and organisation. Like Kante, the Ghanaian is a magnet to the ball in one-on-one duels and loves to hook a leg in and fish out the ball. He’s quite the physical specimen, isn’t afraid to break between the lines and offer an option, and can also fill in at centre-back if absolutely required. He will rotate in and take pressure off Kante and Daniel Drinkwater, giving Ranieri another trustworthy option. Gokhan Inler’s transfer has been a failure because he’s not mobile enough to play in a 4-4-2, while Andy King is not, with respect, a title-challenging-calibre midfielder. They needed another, and they appear to have found him. He adds a body to an overworked midfield, fits the style tactically and could just mean a possible Kante exit in five months isn’t a disaster. It’s another storming victory for the Leicester City scouting team….and absolutely no one is surprised." https://www.umaxit.com/index.php/columns/why-daniel-amartey-is-yet-another-smart-transfer-by-leicester-city
dayday Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 Do you think they will play him straight away or does he have to fight for the right to join the party
st albans fox Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 Do you think they will play him straight away or does he have to fight for the right to join the party Considering that the deal has not yet been sanctioned by the FA or PL, I doubt you'll see him play until February. (which is the game after tomorrow!)
nnfox Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 This has been a good window so far. With gray and now amartey, i really feel that we have strengthened the squad and possibly the starting xi. Can't wait to see him in the team!
DB11 Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 Oh god, hope that doesn't mean he's just here for the money

Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Amartey Kante Drinkwater Mahrez-------------Albrighton Vardy That's a serious side we're building. More importantly, when you add Gray and Chilwell in there, we've got them two, Kante, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Amartey who could all be here for at least another 5 years if we can match their ambition.
Fox 4 Life Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 He obviously hasn't watched the last 7 games if he thinks we play attacking football
