Socks Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Well if your fickle like I am there are simply just some goal celebration 'acts' that simply make me cringe and are down right embarrassing. For me it used to be Swansea's Gomis "Panther" celebration... #shudder# But one that's overtook that and made me reach for the puke/pretentious bag more than any other celebration is the greasy over the top antics of Cristiano Ronaldo If thats not "look at me i'm god" i dont know what is Dont get me wrong the guy is an absoltue legend but the rod up his butt must had a rod up its butt, thricefold Do you agree? whats your most hated egotastic celebration ?
AyewJoking Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 that german that scored the winning penalty in the euro 96 semi final shoot out.
StanSP Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Any opposition celebration this and when they do it in front of Leicester fans.
Brooksy Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Any celebration from Simon Cox against us, twat
Izzy Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I used to hate Alan Shearers one arm aloft running goal celebration. Dunno why, maybe cos he did it so often
Kitchandro Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Asamoah Gyan was unbearable. Awful, arrogant dance and he did it all with a scowl like he wasn't even happy. In fact I don't like any dancing celebrations, they just look like the players are up themselves and are trying to mimic the latest terrible rap artist or boyband.Celebrations should be spontaneous and passionate, preferably ending with the player jumping into the crowd with the fans.
Stadt Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 When Harry Kane inevitably scores past us and he peers at us with melty, cockwomble face.
Leicesterpool Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 When a player celebrates against his old club. Though with the exception of Adebayor scoring for Man City against Arsenal, that was funny a one.
chrishlcfc Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Got to say Gomis. ****ing crawling on the floor after scoring. I'd love to kick him in the bollocks when he's doing that.

Some of the best and most unique ones are clearly rehearsed. What I cannot stand is those who repeatedly do something that tries to be unique, but is basically shit. Just so that they can trademark it and make the back pages.
ozleicester Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 i know im old, but in my day no-one "planned" their celebration. So it was just an example of their joy. I hate the showboating bull sh1t!
Guest Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I used to hate Alan Shearers one arm aloft running goal celebration. Dunno why, maybe cos he did it so often I'm a traditionalist so I've always liked his rather understated celebration.

Greasy over the top antics - whilst reaching for a puke bag because someone is celebrating a goal? Over the top a little? Too much hate in the world to worry about others actions which have no affect on your life. Smile and enjoy the show
Nalis Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I used to hate Alan Shearers one arm aloft running goal celebration. Dunno why, maybe cos he did it so often Was gonna say the same. Boring celebration to match his boring personality.
Fox92 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 All these planned celebrations are annoying. Gomis got to be the worse though.
Xen Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Not got time for any choreographed celebrations - even worse when the teammates all join in. Much better when it's pure passion - Liam Moore's the other year was something special Vardy against WBA too. Gomis has to be one of the worst though. Wtf is that all about? Also never understood the flips. Sure, it looks fairly spectacular, but it'd be so easy to catch a stud or slip a little and miss the landing, injuring yourself. Or a teammate running in to celebrate could get a boot in the face or bundle you over. Accident waiting to happen...

Didn't a guy in India break his neck and die doing a backflip celebration last year or did I make that up?
Vacamion Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Any of you young 'uns who don't remember it should google Steve Morrow dropped by Tony Adams.
Xen Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Didn't a guy in India break his neck and die doing a backflip celebration last year or did I make that up? Someone definitely broke their neck and died during a goal celebration - not 100% sure it was a back flip that caused it, but I don't really fancy tracking down that video to check...
Nalis Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Any of you young 'uns who don't remember it should google Steve Morrow dropped by Tony Adams. I just remember this more so than the fall itself. https://youtu.be/ZHbSCF1eu0o
purpleronnie Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 When a player celebrates against his old club. Though with the exception of Adebayor scoring for Man City against Arsenal, that was funny a one. It's stupid for a player not to celebrate against his old club. Most of the time that player wanted to leave for more money etc....So it's a bit late to get all sentimental about it. Moreover what about celebrating with your current teammates?, what about celebrating a goal for the club that is now paying your wages?, what about celebrating for the fans who have paid to come to see you?. More goal celebrations against former teams please.
notnow john Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Any of you young 'uns who don't remember it should google Steve Morrow dropped by Tony Adams. What I remember about that was the following days Sun headline Morrow in hospital after falling off donkey.
